Story
This playful pup is ready to discover the world alongside a loving family of her own, meet Ivy! Ivy has lots of potential to grow into a fun, devoted family dog. She is dog and child friendly. At this young age, Ivy is still learning about the world, and her personality will continue to develop as she grows. Her new family will have the opportunity to introduce her to new experiences, teach her good manners, and help shape the wonderful dog she becomes. Like most puppies this age, Ivy hasn’t mastered potty or crate training yet, and that’s perfectly normal! She’s just beginning her training journey. Young puppies are little sponges, and with patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and a good routine, Ivy should have every opportunity to catch on quickly. Right now, Ivy’s most important job is simply being a puppy: play hard, investigate everything, learn something new, sneak in some cuddles, nap, and repeat. Her future family gets the fun of watching this sweet little puppy discover everything that comes with being someone’s beloved family dog. The first step toward adopting Ivy is completing our application. Once received, we’ll review it to see if you and this pup may be a good match! If you’re ready for a lifetime of love (and a little puppy mischief along the way), apply today at www.tailsoftheforgottenpaws.org! Story
Billie is an adorable young mix, thought to be a Pointer/Aussie/Lab mix. She’s about 44 lbs, a bit on the lean side currently. And estimated at 4 years old. Billie joined us from a very horrible neglectful situation. She along with eight other dogs was rescued from a trailer, after the owner of the trailer was taken to a mental health facility. All dogs were starved; two were starved to death. Billie was one of the survivors, but barely so. She was skin and bones when joining our rescue program….and a look of hopelessness filled her eyes. During the last several weeks that Billie has been in her BAARK foster home, she has made notable progress, gaining weight, looking better, feeling more confident, and showing us some pep in her step! She’s even starting to play with other dogs. An ideal home and family for Billie is one who can understand her past and give her the time and space she needs to continue to build her confidence, and blossom into a loving, playful girl that she deserves to be. Good nutrition is very important given her past. Billie obviously is good with other dogs but the preferred home for Billie would be as an only dog, or with another calm friendly dog. She’d love a secure fenced yard where she could run, play, and exercise. She is scared of quick movements at this time, so smaller children would likely be overwhelming to her; older children should be fine. If you would like to consider Billie for a member of your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. Note that BAARK is located in the NW Suburbs of Chicago and adopts local to our area.

Story
With the softest ears and the sweetest spirit, this all-black beauty is ready to find a family to call her own, the beautiful, Darlene! This lovely possible Pointer/Lab mix is sporting a sleek all-black coat with a touch of white on her chest, plus the biggest, softest ears that are just made for petting. Like most puppies her age, Darlene is playful, curious, and endlessly adventurous — always ready to explore something new and soak up all the love she can get. As a young puppy Darlene will adjust well to a home with kids, cats, and other dogs, with proper introductions. Shes affectionate and eager to bond with her new family. Since Darlene is still just a baby, she isnt potty or crate trained yet — but shes ready and willing to learn! With some patience and consistency, this smart girl is sure to pick things up quickly. The first step is completing our application. Once received, well review it to see if you are a good match for this little one! If youre ready for a lifetime of love (and a little puppy mischief along the way), apply today at www.tailsoftheforgottenpaws.org! Age: Estimated DOB 5/30/26 Weight: Growing puppy Expected Size: Medium Breed: Possible Pointer/Lab mix Energy Level: Puppy energy — playful and active Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Yes Training: Not yet potty or crate trained; eager to learn Special Traits: All-black coat with white on her chest and big, soft ears Ideal Home: A family willing to work on basic training and provide lots of love and patience. She is young and will adjust quickly to a home with older kids, cats, and other dogs making her a wonderful fit for a family. If you have a history of having dogs around younger children and a vet reference, younger children are fine. p.s this has nothing to do with her, she is a baby and of no danger to anything or anyone right now however people with babies and real small children tend to have higher return rates and we are not into trial adoptions especially those without past experience with pups and dogs.
