Story
~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: She was successfully treated for Heartworms. ***** No other obvious issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Meet Fiona, a sweet-hearted 9-year-old Pomeranian mix who is ready to find her forever home. Weighing in at about 30 lbs, this lovely lady has a gentle soul and is looking for a place where she can spend her senior years being completely spoiled and adored. Fiona has been through a lot in her life, but her resilience and capacity for love remain unmatched. While she can be a little cautious at first—usually needing about 24 hours to feel comfortable and show her true colors—once she warms up, she is a total sweetheart who will quickly steal your heart. Why you’ll love Fiona: *   Well-mannered: She is great on a leash and does very well in a kennel. *   Friendly: She is super sweet and affectionate with people.  *   Social progress: While she can be a bit picky about other dogs, she is doing a wonderful job learning to coexist and just needs a little patience and time to make new furry friends. Fiona truly deserves the world. If you are looking for a loyal companion to shower with love, she is ready to meet you. You can apply to adopt Fiona today and give her the happy, peaceful retirement she has been dreaming of! -- Where did she come from: She was found as a stray. Sadly no owner came looking for her at the shelter.  Adoption: ***** $200.00 ***** Weight: 28 lbs. Approximate age: 06/10/2017 ADOPTION APPLICATION: http://www.recycledpoms.org/application      -- Email info@recycledpomeranians.com to request a printable application. --   ------Please remember our group is made of only volunteers all of whom have full time jobs, foster fur-kids, and families of their own, so please be patient.--------   August 25, 2026, 2:52 pm

No, it’s Pete! This one-of-a-kind, 7-year-old Pomeranian is truly something special. He has the most expressive little face, and he’ll melt your heart with the happy, grumbly sounds he makes when you pet him. Pete is a guy of simple pleasures. He loves his treats, lives for a good tummy scratch, and is slowly learning that being a professional cuddler is a pretty great gig. He’s curious about toys, but honestly? His absolute favorite thing in the world is a humble, empty toilet paper roll. He’s currently about 11 pounds, and we’re working on getting him feeling his best—he’s on medication for low thyroid to help his metabolism, and he’s doing amazing on Keppra to manage his focal seizures. Because he hasn't quite taken to leash walking and really isn't a fan of crates, a home with a secure, fenced yard is a must-have for him. He’s definitely a quirky little guy, but he is such a wonderful companion. If you think your home might be the perfect place for Pete to settle in, we’d love for you to apply to adopt him! -- Where did he come from:  He was surrendered to us by a puppymill. Adoption: ***** $600.00 ***** Weight: 8.7 lbs. At six years young, this 10-lb dynamo has the energy of a puppy and the agility of a circus performer. Georgie is a master of the great escape who can scale baby gates like they are mere speed bumps, so he is looking for a home that can keep up with his impressive climbing skills. He was extremely malnourished when he first came to us, but he is currently busy putting on weight and making up for lost time. This boy was born for obstacle courses and would make an incredible agility partner for the right person. Whether he is running circles around the yard or happily chewing on his favorite bones, Georgie is always ready for fun and absolutely loves his toys. When it is time to settle down, he is a pro at crate time. While he is still working on his leash manners, he is a smart, sweet boy who is eager to learn. He is looking for a family that appreciates his adventurous spirit and is ready to provide the patience and training he needs to thrive. If you are ready to bring home the most agile, playful, and sweet escape artist in town, apply to adopt Georgie today!-- Where did he come from: He managed to survive a house fire and sadly now needs a new home.   Adoption: ***** $600.00 ***** Weight: 10.0 lbs. Temperament: Drax is super sweet and gets along well with other dogs.  He loves meeting new people.  He is very smart and takes his insulin and eye drops like a pro.  Drax loves to lay out in the sunshine, but only if his family is nearby.  He does not take lightly to being left outside.  He is a quiet boy who rarely barks unless he's trying to "talk" to you as is common in Huskies.  Drax will make an excellent companion for anyone who is looking for someone to simply hang out with or go for a walk.  He does well in a crate for car rides. At 9 years old and a petite 7 pounds, this enchanting pup possesses a heart brimming with sweetness. While she was once a bit shy, Hanna is truly coming out of her shell and is quickly becoming a special girl who is ready to shine. Hanna’s journey has taught her resilience, and she is now embracing life with newfound confidence! She has recently discovered the joy of toys and is now happily asking for pets and belly rubs. She has also mastered the leash and truly enjoys her daily walks and spending time outside. With her breathtaking blue coat shimmering like the sky, Hanna is on a quest to find her forever home—a place where she can feel safe and cherished. She is crate trained and gets along splendidly with other dogs; in fact, she would love to have a playful canine companion in her new home. While she is generally cautious with new friends, she has been doing wonderfully around young children (including toddlers under 5), showing curiosity and a gentle interest in watching them play. Hanna is a curious girl who is ready to share her heart with a loving family. If you believe you can offer this sweet girl the fairy tale ending she dreams of, please apply to adopt her today and help her write the next beautiful chapter of her life! --  Where did she come from: Owner went into nursing home.  Adoption: ***** $800.00 ***** Weight: 7.0 lbs.
