Story
Kujoe is nothing like the Cujo from the movie. He is very loving, playful, and full of energy. Even at the age of 12, his youth has not fully left him. I received him as a birthday present when he was just 7 weeks old. He loves car rides, cuddles, rubs, and butt scratches. The only special care that he needs is his seizure meds. No episodes will happen as long as he takes them. I would describe Kujoe as very brave, playful, and adoring. What I am looking for in a new home is someone that has time for Kujoe. He's not used to being alone whether it's with humans or other dogs. (Although, he can be alone as long as he has his bed, food, water, and maybe his favorite toy.) Someone that doesn't mind sharing their eggs and that doesn't have small children (3 or under). A yard would be excellent as he loves to be outdoors. Someone with patience and energy since he loves playing just as much as he loves napping. Anyone in need of a new best friend will find the perfect one in Kujoe.

Story
~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: ***** He has some hip/back pain at intake and on pain meds for awhile but now he just takes supplements for joints and he's doing well. ***** Temperament:  Flannel was a little spicy when he came into the rescue, so he's called Chili in his foster home as often as he is Flannie.  It could just be the chihuahua in him or his past.  He was found abandoned in a crate with two other dogs on a hot day in a rough part of town in San Francisco.  No food or water in a wire crate for days, hot and scared.  Luckily a homeless person hiked to a gas station to use their phone to call the local shelter who took them in.  He was a mess with matted hair and overgrown nails.  He was brave and defended his little buddy but once he was alone with the shelter workers he was a sweetie looking for cuddles. They called Recycled Poms and we made arrangements to pick him up.  He's done great here, and is a sweetheart.  He loves his foster dad and is usually on his lap, on his blanket on the couch next to him, or curled up on dad's blanket on the floor.  I don't think he left the couch for weeks, kind of got possessive for a bit, but he's one of the pack now.  Dad and couch still his favorite though.  He gets along with all the other littles in the house, and the cat, and the big dog but he tends to try to boss her around, and a little yappy at her.  Loves to chase her when she goes out to run.  As sweet as he can be he does not like to be surprised so he has bitten (sharp teeth!) when he's unaware of an incoming nudge or pick up.  Those have gotten farther apart though.  So, he will not be adopted to a home where there will be young children who can be unpredictable.  He needs an adopter that can read his body language because he will tell you if he's not liking something.  He likes to be carried so he'd be a good traveling companion, but car travel is best in a carrier or belted in the back seat because he likes to get in your lap.  He's very food motivated, loves treats and soft foods.  He's got a funny little bark and a bad habit of being very vocal about anyone leaving the house.  He needs patience with potty training, he wears a belly band now and will wee on just about anything.  But his foster home has many dogs now and over the years so hopefully consistency and just his own smells will be all it takes to make him a good boy.  He's such a little cutie awaiting his forever home!   -- Where did he come from: Stray in San Francisco California  Adoption: ***** $500.00 ***** Weight: 7 lbs. Approximate age: 7 years ADOPTION APPLICATION: http://www.recycledpoms.org/application -- Email info@recycledpomeranians.com to request a printable application. --   ------Please remember our group is made of only volunteers all of whom have full time jobs, foster fur-kids, and families of their own, so please be patient.-------- March 7, 2026, 9:52 am

He is healing great! ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament:   Meet Cheetos! This gentle 11-year-old male Pomeranian now weighs 12 pounds and has come a long way in his journey. He’s no longer hesitant to go inside or outside and has confidently mastered walking on wood floors. While he might still crouch a bit if surprised, he’s growing more comfortable every day. Cheetos is a sweet soul who just wants to fit in and understand his family’s routine. Once he gets the hang of things, he loves to follow his humans around, happily wagging his tail. He would thrive in a household with other dogs to help show him the ropes and build his confidence even further. Quiet moments filled with gentle pets and head rubs are his absolute favorite—he just melts in your hands! Cheetos is kennel trained and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him an ideal companion for a multi-pet household. While he’s still working on leash training, we know he has all the potential to become the perfect sidekick with the right guidance. This loving boy is ready to bring joy into someone’s life. At 7 years old and approximately 7 pounds, Summer may feel lighter than her weight suggests, as she's a pocket-sized bundle of joy. Rescued from a puppymill, she's come a long way and is blossoming beautifully. Summer has quickly learned how to use the doggie door and is eager to let you know when she needs to go out for her business. She's also an enthusiastic little player, asking to join in with other dogs! We are currently working on leash training, helping her gain confidence on walks. This lovable girl adores following you from room to room, always eager for affection. There's nothing she loves more than a cozy massage and some good belly rubs. While she can be a bit stand-offish at times, she has learned to trust and will freeze in place when you approach to pick her up. Summer would thrive best in a home with other confident dogs, as she does not do well as an only dog. If you're looking for a loyal companion full of love and snuggles, apply today to adopt this precious girl! She can’t wait to shower you with affection for a lifetime.   --  Where did she come from: She was surrendered to our rescue by a puppymill.  Adoption: ***** $800.00 ***** Weight: 7.3 lbs.
