Story
Bean was born 6/2/2022. He and his parents are registered as purebreds with the DBA Certified East Texas State Kennel Club. He was purchased from Pick-a-Pup in Canton at the age of three months. I kept up his vaccinations through the Texas Coalition for Animal Protection in Allen Texas. He is chipped and registered with Home Again. Bean is very energetic and loves attention from people but he has never been around other animals. He is smart and knows a few tricks, can differentiate his favorite toys and likes to play fetch with his rope however, has not perfected the part where he lets you have it back. He stays indoors because Im not home during the day but he loves being outside. He knows to go potty outside when you tell him but because Im gone so much and he has no access to get out, he has had a few accidents. Also, he has excitability sprinkles sometimes. He will be shy and a little stand-offish at first but he is a good dog who just needs more attention than I can give him.

Story
Bree is being fostered in NJ. Her name is Bree but you could also call her Little Miss Perfect! Bree adjusted to her foster home with no problem and immediately found her way around and knew how to get our attention when she needs to go outside. She has the playfulness of a puppy - if you bring Bree into your family, have plenty of squeaky toys on hand. She loves to destroy them! Bree is also happy to sit on your lap or next to you as you relax. She enjoys "watching" TV and will bark if she hears a dog on the screen. She is also a good car rider. She is a well-mannered little girl who knows her manners, like to sit when receiving a treat. And she does expect a treat when she comes back inside from going potty. Bree mostly sleeps in her own dog bed at night, but will sometimes want to sleep in the bed next to someone. Since going blind, she can be reactive when another dog invades her space, or even if Bree invades their space. We've had a few spats but everyone has come out unharmed. It is best to feed Bree in her own space. Even though Bree is a senior dog, she has plenty of playful years ahead of her and will be a joy to any family who adopts her. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Paxton! Paxton is an adorable and mischievous 3-year-old male Pomeranian weighing in at 4lbs. He is neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He made his way to Saving Hope Rescue as part of a breeder surrender though no fault of his own. Despite his size, Paxton packs a punch in the excessive vocal department particularly when he feels alone. He will be best suited in a home only and no apartments please. The ideal home would have someone who works from home fulltime. Housetraining is ongoing and until mastered, he will require a bellyband and consistent outings. He has proven to be stubborn in this area, but small victories are celebrated. In his foster home, Paxton lives with many dogs of all ages and sizes. He does incredibly well with socialization and has a high level of comfortability with his own kind. In meeting new people, he tends to be a bit nervous, but curiosity gets the best of him. Paxton is best suited and safest with adults and children 10 years and older due to his size, fragility, and sensitivity. He enjoys toys, but his focus lies on household items which are not in his best interest. Thus, his engaged playfulness will need to be redirected positively with a vigilant eye. Breed knowledge is preferred as Paxton will require regular grooming and teeth cleaning as this breed is prone to dental disease. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Lopez is a sweet boy who recently lost his owners due to their health issues, and ended up in the shelter after being found wandering as a stray. Poor boy, his world fell apart!  He's doing great in his current foster home, loving the other dogs. He is wary of new people who come into the home but warms up fairly well. He just completed his obedience training, so we are happy to report that he is doing better with new people!Lopez is a fun and affectionate boy hoping his next "forever home" will last forever! His ideal home would be a calm place, perhaps with a retired couple or a person without kids. He is good with other dogs, but prefers to be the only dog or to have a play buddy who is bigger than him. Lopez is house trained and despite being a senior dog, he is full of energy and doesn't have any health Issues.  Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria.
