Story
Meet Tory! He was rescued from Korean City Shelter. Tory was very timid but with a foster’s true affection and good cares, he has opened up and becomes a social, outgoing lovebug who sleeps in the bed with his foster.❤ Tory has lived with his foster for a long time and is still waiting for his furever family. *Likes many things but his favorite is his foster mommy.😘 *Separation anxiety: None. *Potty-training: Housebroken 100% *Cautious of dogs he meets for the first time but warms up and starts wagging his tail to greet them. *Loves his family. Makes eye contact and bonds to his foster mom when she comes back home. Tory became a cute bear whose affection toward his foster mom is getting more day by day.🤭 *No cautious barking but will sometimes bark when he wants to poop or to show he needs attention. *We were worried that Tory was such a timid pup🥺 but after he had built up a stabilized loving relationship with his foster family, he is showing more direct expression toward his foster mom! *Tory will stare at treat box non-stop that he wants treats? *Walks outside 3 times a week to have a bowel movement and enjoys walking where he can focus and dig.😀 *Before he went to foster care, he used to make eye tears moderately, so he had tear marks but with good care at foster home, the amount of tear marks was reduced. Tear marks you see in his picture will become better with some grooming; this is not related to his health issues so no worries! *No interest in toys.😞 *Tory’s favorites: Resting at home peacefully.

Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees. The call was put out for the need from a commercial breeder with health problems who needed her breeding dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of nowhere in South Dakota. Of course they always want money for the dogs & of course once we know about them we cannot walk away & leave them there. The house was a run down shack & where Moira & her other breeding friends were living was deplorable. They all stank so badly you wanted to vomit with the smell up to 2 weeks later. We believe it was the smell of the nastiest food coming out of their pores. Non of us could get rid of the smell off them until they had been on our food for roughly 14 days. They were matted, had very long curled nails & were dirty & some even had raging skin infections & raging UTI’s. One was even having seizures & still being used to breed. But despite where they lived & were used to make money off their backs, they were still very sweet & friendly. But Moira, she was so lovely & grateful to get the hell out of the shack she was caged in 24/7 living her life outside in the stinking heat day after day then in the freezing cold in winter time in the shack was over. Her life was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. On this day we rescued a total of 8 breeding poms & shi tzu mum & dads who all they knew was to breed in a life of hell & then being sold. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Moira how she is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home. Moira & her friends were bought back to the WA state where she is now is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Another sweetheart of a loving soul. The horror she endured on her little body & mind all to make money off her back is so disgusting. After everything she has been through she is still so sweet. She is beyond grateful to get out of that hell hole she was in & radiates gratitude. Moira lets you pick her up & lets you give her kisses & hugs. The reality is, the foster homes are her real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding she can snuggle up in, a roof over head that’s not outside. Her first foster mum said she is so very sweet & just loves to be petted & be with you & just so easy & wants to be loved. With us she has loved every dog she has been with. At first with her food in her foster home she wasn’t motivated, probably because she was so confused with her new life & was so used to eating the cheapest grade food. But once she got a taste of the homemade food, it was all over & she woofed it down. Moira went to another foster home with a little girl & they both loved each other dearly & Moira got to go out to many social places & got to experience what being loved was. Many people while out & about would come up & ask about Moira as she is so very sweet & stunning. She is good with her baths & being dried by the hairdryer but wonders what is happening? She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not get to experience ever until she was rescued. She is such a lovely little lady who just wants to be loved & to make up for her past. She would still need work walking on her harness & leash but since being with us she has learnt so quickly & enjoys going on walks but it’s all completely new to her considering she was never ever taught until coming into the rescue. She does not discriminate against breeds. She adores going outside & having a wander around & sitting in the backyard. She has always been with other dogs & she adores other dogs but can be the queen in the home & be the only dog as long she receives all the attention & can go with her family & is not left alone for long periods of time. Moira rides beautifully in the car & considering the only times we know of was when she went to auction to be sold & when we got her & going home with her foster family & back & forth to the vets & now on her adventures, she has done so amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. She spent her whole life confined for breeding. Moira as you can imagine spent such a long time in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Moira where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Moira is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Moira has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & in her foster home & she is currently with other dogs & adores other dogs. But Moira could be the only dog in the home & receive all the attention as long as she was not left alone all day & could go with her family with them. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory in a house. Moira is roughly 13.8 lbs & she is 6 years old. She has put on weight since being in her foster home. She is a pomeranian, what she is mixed with we are not sure, female, she is spayed by laser by our wonderful vets. She is microchipped, she had gum surgery & had a dental scale & polish along with dental x-rays. She had 3 incisor minors removed. She is up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Moira with paying for her from a commercial breeder in South Dakota. Bringing her to WA with her travel/flight costs, her transportation to WA. All of her medical care in WA etc & bringing her to WA than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Her adoption fee does not even cover half of what we have spent on Moira. Moira has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have had her around small children & she does good with them & was fostered with a respectful child to animals. We do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Moira was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Moira’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Moira potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Moira & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Moira who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Moira has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

But despite where they lived & were used to make money off their backs, they were still very sweet & friendly. But Stevie, she was so lovely & grateful to get the hell out of the shack she was caged in 24/7 living her life outside in the stinking heat day after day then in the freezing cold in winter time in the shack was over. Her life was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. On this day we rescued a total of 8 breeding poms & shi tzu mum & dads who all they knew was to breed in a life of hell & then being sold. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Stevie how she is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home. Stevie & her friends were bought back to the WA state where she is now is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. Stevie for everything she has been through her foster mum said is the sweetest nicest little dog you will ever meet. Every time she sees her foster mum her tail does not stop wagging with such joy to see her. The foster mum said she is one of the easiest little dogs she has fostered. When she first arrived the smell her foster mum said that was coming out of her was so vile, the smell filled a room. It was the disgusting food they were feeding her seemed to be pouring out her pores. Bathing didn’t get rid of it, it was the good nutrition that seemed ti get rid of it. Stevie lets you pick her up & lets you give her kisses & hugs & enjoys it. She just goes along with the flow. The reality is, the foster homes are her real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding she can snuggle up in, a roof over head that’s not outside. The only time it appears people were with her previously was to breed her but that being said she now understands she has a lovely environment with her foster siblings. At first with her food in her foster home she wasn’t motivated, probably because she was so confused with her new life & was so used to eating the cheapest grade food. But once she got a taste of the homemade food, it was all over & she woofed it down & knows when it’s time to eat she looks for it. She eats, grains, fruits & vegetables & many healthy proteins along with supplements. She is so obsessed with food her foster mum said & she can be bossy when it’s time to eat as she wants to eat it all, she loves food now. She is good with her baths & being dried by the hairdryer not a fan at all & wants to try to get away from it & wonders what is happening? She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not get to experience ever until she was rescued. She is such a lovely little lady who just wants to be loved & to make up for her past once you have built that repour with her. She would still need work walking on her harness & leash because the reality is this is all new to her. She does not discriminate against breeds. She has always been with other dogs & she adores other dogs & they make her feel comfortable & confident. Stevie rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when she went to auction to be sold & when we got her & going home with her foster family & to & from the vets. It’s still all new to her though. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. She spent her whole life confined for breeding. Stevie as you can imagine spent such a long time in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Stevie where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Stevie is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Stevie has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & in her foster home & she is currently with other dogs & adores other dogs. She absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home roughly the same size for her to thrive in. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Stevie is roughly 11 lbs & she is 5 years old. She has put on weight since being in her foster home. She is a pomeranian, what she is mixed with we are not sure, female, she is spayed by laser by our wonderful vets. Stevie’s mouth was bad when we rescued her. She is microchipped, she had a dental scale & polish along with dental x-rays & 5 teeth removed. An incisor minor, 2 premolars intermediate, 1 molar intermediate & 1 minor molar. She is up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Stevie with paying for her from a commercial breeder in South Dakota. Bringing her to WA with her travel/flight costs, her transportation to WA. All of her medical care in WA etc & bringing her to WA than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Her adoption fee does not even cover half of what we have spent on Stevie. Stevie has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not her around small children so we do do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Stevie was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Stevie’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Stevie potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Stevie & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. We will only be accepting applications for Stevie who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Stevie has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.
