Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 Web Site: www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees. But if the potential adopter is willing to pay them we will accept PayPal. The call was put out for the need from a commercial breeder who needed some dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of nowhere. Of course they always want money for the dogs & of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. But despite where they lived in a shed & were going to be used to make money off their backs, they were still very sweet & friendly. But Kiwi, he was so lovely & grateful to get the hell out of the cage he was caged in 24/7. His life was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. On this day we rescued Kiwi & his siblings & friends, 10 other innocent souls who would have spent their lives being breeding machines in cages all to make money off their backs. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Kiwi how he is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as he is in his foster home. Kiwi & his friends were bought back to the WA state where he is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Kiwi lets you pick him up & lets you give him kisses & hugs & enjoys it. This is Kiwi first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding he can snuggle up in, a roof over his head that’s not outside. His foster mum said Kiwi is oh so very sweet, playful, & such a good boy. He loves his foster family very much. He is your typical lovable puppy who eats, plays, sleeps eats & poops & the cycle continues. He is just like his brother. He adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something he did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. He is such a fun puppy who just wants to be loved & to make up for his past once you have built that repour with him. He would still need work walking on his harness & leash because the reality is this is all new to him. He does not discriminate against breeds. He has always been with other dogs & he adores other dogs & they make him feel comfortable & confident. Kiwi rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when he went to be sold & when we got him & going home with his foster family & to & from the vets. But now he goes on many outings with his wonderful foster home & his sibling Chippy. He had even gone out on a boat several times & has a little life jacket his foster family bought for him. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lad only. He spent his first part of his life confined for potential breeding. We are also looking for a forever home for Kiwi where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Kiwi is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him & never give up on him. Kiwi has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & in his foster home & he is currently with his sibling & another dog in his foster home & adores other dogs. He absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Kiwi is roughly 4.4 lbs & he is 14 weeks old & possibly a ‭Pomeranian/teddy mix‬. He has put on weight since being in his loving foster home. What he is mixed with we are not sure, male, he will be neutered by laser by our wonderful vets, microchipped, receive his last shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed all under contract with ASTR by 6 months of age. We have spent far more on Kiwi with paying for him from a commercial breeder. Bringing him to WA with his travel/flight costs, his transportation to WA. All of his medical care in WA etc & bringing him to WA then his adoption fee comes close to covering. His adoption fee does not even cover half of what we have spent on Kiwi. Kiwi has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have him around small children in his foster home & he does amazing but we do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Kiwi was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Kiwi’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Kiwi potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Kiwi & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Kiwi who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Kiwi has an adoption fee of $1650 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

The call was put out for the need from a commercial breeder with health problems who needed her breeding dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of nowhere in South Dakota. Of course they always want money for the dogs & of course once we know about them we cannot walk away & leave them there. The house was a run down shack where Johnny Rose & his other breeding friends were living was deplorable. They all stank so badly you wanted to vomit with the smell up to 2 weeks later. We believe it was the smell of the nastiest food coming out of their pores. Non of us could get rid of the smell off them until they had been on our food for roughly 14 days. They were matted, had very long curled nails & were dirty & some even had raging skin infections & raging UTI’s. Not to mention several were pregnant. But despite where they lived & were used to make money off their backs, they were still very sweet & friendly. But Johnny Rose, he was still so playful & so lovely & grateful to get the hell out of the shack he was caged in 24/7 living his life outside in the stinking heat day after day then in the freezing cold in winter time in the shack was over. The reality is, the foster homes are his real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding he can snuggle up in, a roof over his head that’s not outside. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Parti & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. We will only be accepting applications for Parti who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Parti has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Story
Meet Tori🩵 He came to Korean City Shelter long ago. Initially quite fearful, he blossomed into a sociable and affectionate dog under his foster parent's consistent love. *No separation anxiety. *Housetraining: 100% outdoors. *Energy Level (1~10): Lv. 1 (Lv. 10 on walks) *Takes some time to warm up to other dogs but gradually becomes friendly. *Loves foster fam, especially his foster mom. Grows increasingly affectionate and charming each day. *Expresses dislikes clearly; Tori dislikes being bothered. *Initially timid, Tori transformed into a confident dog with a stable attachment in his foster home. Occasionally stares at the treat box, asking for snacks. *Tear stains reduced significantly with consistent care and love. Any remaining stains can be improved with grooming. *Not interested in toys. *Rarely barks defensively, but vocalizes to express needs or seek attention. *Leash training is excellent; enjoys walks without pulling. *Walks and outdoor bathroom breaks are part of his daily routine. Enjoys digging and concentrating on walks. *Rarely experiences motion sickness; lies down or looks out the window during car rides. *Working hard on learning the command 'hand'! 💙 Health Status: Fed hypoallergenic diet (Dr.HealMedix Weight Control) as a preventive measure. 💙 Foster Instagram: @adogs_tori

Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Bindy from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 3 yr old female Pomeranian.  I am about 7 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive everyday and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,695 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase Quick Pay with Zelle, PayPal, or cash. This beautiful face is so stunning & just wants to be loved but yet again her story begins with such great sadness. Lovely Dong Baek was hit by car on the brutal streets of Korea & unfortunately the impact of the car broke her right front leg & she was left there. Thankfully a kind person found her & took her to the kill shelter where our truly outstanding Korean rescuers went in & rescued Dong Baek. They got her the surgery she needed to repair her little broken leg & discovered she was heart worm positive & treated her, so this poor girl could not catch a break. Unfortunately no one in Korea wanted to open up their hearts & home to Dong Baek so here she is now ready to find that special home who is waiting for this little lady. Dong Baek was rescued by the amazing Korean rescue & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Korean rescue & we are so extremely grateful for what they do day in & day out for these babies & there is also such a great financial responsibility when rescuing these babies so we cannot begin to thank them enough. Dong Baek was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. This little lady when you first meet her is a little shy & uncertain but once she knows & trusts you, you are good. She has been to hell & back & for everything that she has been through she is doing amazing. We got her re-tested for heart worm when she first arrived but unfortunately she was still heart worm positive so we treated her & got her well & now she is finally negative & had been for a while. Her foster mum said she lets you pick her up, snuggle with her & hug her. She is the sweetest happiest girl you will have the pleasure of meeting. Her foster mum said she loves a good outfit & adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets & will want to sleep in bed with you along with the other dogs. She also said she is really good with being bathed & dried by the hairdryer & such a social butterfly. We don’t think she ever received this much love before but she radiates her appreciation with us. When we first got her she had a limp & it was very concerning that the pin would need to be removed from her leg. But now since being fed a healthy diet, being loved, getting exercise & looked after the limp has gone & our vets were extremely surprised it was no longer there. We have been working with her on her leash & harness & does really well considering but, she still would need continued work as this is all new to her. When we walk her now she has not been showing any signs of being hit by a car. Dong Baek loves to run & play & adores her dog friends so much. Dong Baek loves to eat, since she came into the rescue she has put on 4 lbs. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Dong Baek & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. Dong Baek’s new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard. Dong Baek rides well in the car & we are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Dong Baek does not like crates. We are also looking for a forever home for Dong Baek where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Dong Baek is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her. Dong Baek has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & does well. Dong Baek needs to go to a forever home with another dog or dogs in the home, she enjoys the company of other dogs & we currently have her with other dogs. She needs a dog roughly around her age who will play with her as she loves to play. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Dong Baek is roughly 18 lbs & put on 4 lbs being in the rescue. She had a broken right fright leg from being hit by a car in Korea & was left on the streets & taken to the shelter by a kind person & rescued by our rescuer who had a surgery on her leg in Korea to repair it. Our vets noticed a inconsistent limp when walking originally when we got her but since being with us the limp has gone & you would never know now she was hit by a car in Korea. She has a pin in her leg from her surgery from Korea & if ever it bothers her she may need it removed one day or she may not our vets said. She was also heart worm positive in Korea & treated for it. She was tested twice & treated for heart worm with us & is negative & had been for quite some time. She is 3 years old & perhaps a papillon mix, what she is mixed with we are not sure, female, she is spayed, she got a dental scale & polish, dental x-rays & a minor incisor removed. She is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Dong Baek with bringing her to the US with her travel costs, her cargo fees, her medical care, dental scale & polish, boarding fees etc & bringing her to WA than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Dong Baek has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Dong Baek was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Dong Baek’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Dong Baek’s potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Dong Baek & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Dong Baek who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this special sweet little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Dong Baek has an adoption fee of $995 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.
