She was discovered abandoned on the side of a rural road, frightened, hungry, and waiting for someone who never came back. She stayed in the same area for days, hoping her family would return, surviving on scraps and the kindness of strangers passing by. When our rescue was finally able to bring her to safety, Diamond was underweight, exhausted, and understandably confused. Although her heart had been broken, she never stopped believing that people could still be kind. Today, Diamond is a completely different dog. She has blossomed into a happy, spunky little girl whose playful personality shines brighter every day. She loves making people smile with her silly antics, enjoys chasing toys around the house, and has an infectious enthusiasm that reminds everyone how resilient dogs truly are. Her favorite place is wherever her people are, whether that's joining you for a walk, relaxing on the couch, or simply following you from room to room with her adorable little Pug waddle. As a Pug, Diamond is affectionate, loyal, and thrives on human companionship. Pugs are known for their loving personalities, playful nature, and desire to be involved in every part of family life. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a Pug is a lifelong commitment that includes routine veterinary care, companionship, exercise, and attention to the breed's unique needs. Diamond will need: Routine veterinary care and annual wellness exams Preventative flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite protection Proper nutrition to maintain a healthy weight Moderate daily exercise while avoiding overheating Plenty of companionship and mental enrichment A safe, stable indoor living environment As a brachycephalic (short-nosed) breed, Diamond should avoid strenuous exercise during hot weather and should always have access to fresh water, shade, and air conditioning when temperatures rise. Diamond is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
