Story
Meet Charlie — 36 pounds of snuggly chaos wrapped in a Beagle/Pug mystery blend, aged 3 years and fueled entirely by enthusiasm, feelings, and snacks. Charlie is a professional cuddler, elite blanket burrower, and part-time zoomie athlete. He operates on two settings:
1️⃣ Full-throttle play mode — bouncing, leaping, and occasionally expressing himself with a little mouthy enthusiasm
2️⃣ Marshmallow mode — melting into your lap, pressing his face into yours, and tunneling under the covers like a cozy little mole He adores his people. Like, nose-to-nose, please don’t stop petting me, ever level adoration. Affection is his love language, followed closely by treats (more on that in a second). ✨ Training glow-up alert:
Charlie is highly treat-motivated, and it’s paying off in a big way. With snacks on board, he’s been doing great walking near people and dogs and has been friendly when meeting strangers. Public outings have become much calmer when treats are involved. He’s currently working with trainers at Tayls in Trails in Watertown, MA, and showing real progress. Snacks = success. The fine print (aka, Charlie’s boundaries): ·       🐶 Other dogs? Hard no. ·       🐱 Cats? Also no. ·       👶 Kids? Not a match — we’re looking for an adult-only home. Charlie wants to be your one-and-only. He’s not here for a group project; he’s here for a solo starring role. He will make his opinions known around other animals, so a pet-free home is essential. The good news? ·       💩 House trained ✔️ ·       🛏️ Crate trained ✔️ ·       ❤️ Loyal, affectionate, hilarious ✔️ Charlie has a big personality and an even bigger heart. With structure, continued training, patience, and a steady supply of treats, he’s going to be someone’s absolute soulmate dog — the kind who sleeps under the covers, follows you everywhere, and loves you like it’s his full-time job. Adopt Charlie — because beneath the spice is a gooey, devoted marshmallow who just wants to snuggle his way into your life (and your bed). 🐾💛 If you are interested in finding out more about Charlie, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Charlie is being fostered in Dorchester, MA. The adoption fee is $500. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Bay, our 2-year-old mystery mix with pug-shaped charm!Bay may not be the first dog to rush up and introduce herself, but don`t let her shy side fool you—behind those curious eyes is a sweet, goofy girl just waiting to find her people. Think of her as the canine version of someone who hangs out quietly at a party before feeling out the vibes, getting more comfy, and becoming everyone`s favorite friend. We`re not exactly sure what breeds make up Bay`s family tree, but there`s definitely some pug in the mix, along with a healthy dose of cuteness. Her unique looks make her one of a kind.Bay is happiest when she`s allowed to take things at her own pace. Once she decides you`re part of her inner circle, you`ll be rewarded with butt wags, happy little check-ins, and plenty of affection. She loves having a cozy spot to relax and being told what a good girl she is (which, for the record, is very often).Bay is searching for a patient family that understands that trust is earned—and that the best friendships sometimes start a little slowly. If you`re looking for a loyal sidekick with a gentle heart, a touch of silliness, and plenty of love to give, Bay might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting Bay, please visit the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 12-4 pm during our walk-in hours. If you are unable to come during those times, please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see what other times may be available by appointment.

Story
Celia, the petite pug Celia is an adorable 2 yo petite fawn pug with a couple of unique features. Her legs are a bit longer than usual for a pug. She puts them to good use prancing, zooming, and playfully pawing her human & dog friends. Somewhere in her past, her tail was damaged, so it doesn’t corkscrew; however, it does wag with enthusiasm when she is happy (which is most of the time!) Celia howls to greet you, her mouth in a little “O” shape as an “ow-wooo” sings hello. She is intelligent, cuddly, affectionate, and best of all…a PUG!!! She is ready for her forever home. Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)
