Born around May 14, 2024, this sweet 18.4-pound boy was found exploring a local subdivision, charming multiple neighbors along the way. While everyone wanted to help the little runaway, Bandit proved himself to be quite the escape artist, cleverly digging out of various yards in his determined quest to find the action! Bandit is a true social butterfly. His main goal in life is to be right where the people are. When he gets loose, he doesn't run away; he rushes towards companionship! He is looking for a secure yard and a family who will give him plenty of attention and keep him close by, satisfying his deep desire to be part of the pack. Bandit has been fully vetted and is now receiving treatment for anaplasmosis, a common tick-borne disease discovered during his initial exam. He is doing great and just needs to complete his 30-day course of medication. He's on the mend and ready for his fresh start. This resilient, people-loving pug is eager to trade his days of solo adventures for a lifetime of cozy cuddles and family fun. This is what Tommy’s foster had to say about this lovely boy: “Tommy may have some white hairs, but his heart is pure gold and he’s got a new lease on life! He may move a little slower thanks to a leg injury, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying the simple pleasures—a soft spot on the couch and all the cuddles you can give him. He needs a lift getting up and down, but he’s 100% worth it 🩵 Tommy is the perfect house guest—no accidents, great with routines, and totally chill indoors. But be warned: if there’s a cat litter box in sight, he’ll be in it if you aren’t watching 😅You’ll only hear a bark when he needs to go out earlier than his regularly scheduled potty break. He’s not a fan of stairs, but we’ve got him set up with a ramp, and he’s doing great with it. He loves a car ride, but needs help getting in and out. When it comes to food, Tommy’s a bit of a picky piggy 🐷 Purina Pro Plan beef & rice dry food paired with beef & veggies wet food is his go-to. It’s easy to sneak his daily pill (for his leg pain) into his food. He's friendly with other dogs and cats and is the perfect companion for anyone looking for an easy-going, lovable dog. While he’s not always in the mood for playtime, he does still get zoomies, like to play with his mini tennis ball, and enjoys a good sniff around outside. Tommy is a little stubborn but so full of love. After everything he’s been through, he deserves the very best. Story
Sam is a sweet pug looking for an experienced patient family that speaks 'dog'. Sam is a breeder release from a commercial facility. He hasn't had the benefit a dog his age might have who was born in a home. That being said, while he is scared and timid, once he feels safe he is longing to bond with a family. He will likely always be timid. He needs family who will help him slowly decompress and adjust in his own time. Sam s a friendly gentle guy He needs a fenced in yard for his potty place. He doesn't understand leash walking. Pugs tend to be Velcro dogs. They want to be close to a human, Sam is friendly, wags his tail and then retreats, He wants to be cared for, He needs to relax enough to know he can move forward without fear, He needs a patient adopter without expectations he will change but will give him the time to allow him to if he chooses, Like all dogs, he will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all dogs, not only to give Sam important learning skills, but because you and your dog will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Sam is fully vetted. She has been neutered, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of his adopter. His adoption fee is $800..00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Sam wants to be sure his family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS): You must have a flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training). If you work long hours, have a busy social schedule, or are not financially secure, then a puppy is not for you. We adopt in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits. Looking for a little dog with a whole lot of heart? Meet Ian! Ian is a 1.5-year-old black and white sweetheart who proves every day that a rough start does not define your future. This pint-sized boy previously suffered a hip injury, which has healed beautifully, and his happy, playful spirit never missed a beat. Ian is fun, boisterous, and full of contagious joy. He loves attention, enjoys romping around with his toys, and is always ready for a cuddle when playtime winds down. He does well with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a home with canine friends. Ian also loves his food and is happily not picky. He eats from a slow-feeder bowl to help him enjoy his meals at a healthy pace and aid digestion. Medical Transparency (the important but reassuring part): Ian has Diabetes Insipidus, which is not the same as diabetes mellitus. This condition affects how his body concentrates urine and has nothing to do with blood sugar. • Oral medication only — no shots or injections • Takes medication twice daily to maintain healthy urine concentration and support full bladder emptying • Medication may be lifelong or temporary, depending on future veterinary guidance • Medication cost can vary depending on the veterinarian or pharmacy • Needs frequent potty breaks Ian does wonderfully on his routine and is otherwise a happy, active, affectionate young dog. Born on August 30, 2025, Griffin weighs 18 pounds and has a quiet charm all his own. Griffin’s mom is a beautiful pure bred Boston Terrier who found herself on the streets.  We suspect the dad was a local unnamed politician that promised the moon.  A good Samaritan rescued the mom and fostered her puppies until they were 8 weeks old.   Griffin is our shy boy. He loves attention and affection, but he needs a little time to get to know you first. Once he feels comfortable, his playful side shines through! He adores toys and playtime and promises to be a fun and loving companion once he has built his trust in you. This little pup needs someone with the time and patience to continue his training and socialization, helping him build confidence and grow into a well-adjusted adult dog.
