Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxBooBoo is a young adult terrier mix who just lost his home when his owner passed away. BooBoo has been living with other dogs and does ok. He does need a minute to warm up to new people however at this time that may just be a reaction to all that has changed in his life in the last few days. BooBoo would enjoy a mellow home where he can continue getting over his past and begin thriving for his future. If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks. Our Adoption fees for all animals cover required vetting: which includes, Rabies, Distemper Vaccine Series, Bordetella, Deworming, Heartworm Test as age appropriate, Spay or Neuter and Microchip and registration. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
Hi! My name is Jack and I am from Arkansas. From his foster: Jack is a young dog and has the energy to match! One of his favorite things is to play: he loves to chew on his toys (and sometimes shoes) or chase in the backyard. When he's done he loves to snuggle down for some pets and cuddles on the couch. Jack is doing great on potty training with a schedule. While not his favorite, he does well in his kennel. He will settle in and sleep through the night and be able to relax in the kennel when left alone for awhile. Jack arrived at the rescue with a limp from a broken back left leg. After an assessment by the vet, they determined that they were not able to repair the break as it happened too long ago. They were able to successfully amputate the leg and Jack is recovering well and is happily hopping around in his new life as a tripod! While he has no issues moving around and enjoys exploring, his forever family should keep his tripod needs in mind because that missing leg means more stress is placed on their remaining joints. As he gets older, you may want to limit repeated leg stress like avoiding using too many stairs daily and jumping higher than his shoulder height. He may develop future health issues such as arthritis in his legs and is at increased risk for injury on his remaining legs. Jack chews and sometimes tries to eat inedible things like parts of toys or things he finds outside. His future home should plan to keep an eye on him the first few weeks outside and also whenever he is inside and chewing.

Story
We are a retired couple. We have been traveling extensively and just bought a home in Gulfport. All the traveling is hard on Chachi, he needs a place to be without moving around so much. Chachi is a loving little dog who loves to snuggle with you. He can be on his own at home. He likes his "home" kennel. He is good with people once he gets to know them, same with kids. At first he can be very nervous and barking at strangers. He is good on walks and is overjoyed to ride in the car. He is mostly good with other dogs, sometimes barks at larger black dogs. He came from Texas where he was raised by a family that could no longer keep him. We have had him three years and we do love him, but think he needs a more stable home life. Not so much traveling around.
