If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Happy, Energetic, Love at Full Speed Bert is a very social, out-going Rat Terrier. He loves with his entire body, including feet and teeth. We're trying to "tone down" his love but he's quite playful. His play bites do not leave marks, he is very gentle but his jumping does leave bruises. He is a flight risk because he loves to run. He just wants to "Go!" with no idea where he is going. If you are looking for an adventure buddy, this is the guy for you. Walks are his absolute favorite. I think he'd love someone to run with him even more. He is working on house training and making progress. Bert is kennel trained and keeps his kennel clean. He is very food motivated and learns quickly. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2539030##

Story
Welcome 4-year-old Bowser to CCPAL Rescue. Bowser is a Rat Terrier mix. We think he is mixed with Dachshund. He appears to be house trained because he doesn’t like to go in his kennel even though there is a wee pad. He is smart. He is adorable and weighs about 15 pounds. He is good on a leash and knows the sit command. He is lower on the shedding scale. He loves car rides and if he is off leash and you need him to come, you can open the car door and he will jump in. The only thing he isn’t great at is nail trims. He doesn’t like them, so we let the vet techs do that at his appointments or his groomer. He would be a great walking companion. He has lived in a home with small children and did great. We would like all the children to be 8 or older. He is very affectionate and liked it when Colin held him today. He can run very fast and he comes when you call. He is good with other dogs, even when bigger than himself. He isn’t over vocal and will bond deeply to his human. Many people love the Rat Terrier breed because of their loving nature. He is currently in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue. He is getting his vaccines topped up and will be ready for his new forever home as soon as we find his placement. We think a moderately active family would be best. He is loving and cuddly but will need a yard to play in or a walk daily to get his exercise in. He is a Rat Terrier so he will have fun checking the yard for rodents. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Porltand, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Hi! My name is Fire, and I am from Arkansas! From her foster: Little baby Fire is truly the perfect puppy! Her favorite activities include cuddling on the couch with her people, getting the zoomies, climbing on anything she can, and playing with her toys! Although she loves her daily walk, Fire is a homebody at heart especially during these colder months! She loves playing with other pups and is very respectful to cats! She’s been sleeping with me in my bed and does great, but also does fantastic in a crate! She’s also been fantastic with potty training and has less and less messes everyday! She is very food motivated which also makes training easier! Fire hasn’t had a whole ton of experience with kids, but from the few short interactions she has had, I believe she would be just fine in a family!

I am looking for a foster or forever family! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can say YES to fostering this animal! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi! My name is Earth, and I am from Arkansas! From his foster: Earth is a goofy, sweet, and affectionate guy who’s guaranteed to steal your heart. His absolute favorite things in life? Cuddles on the couch and zooming around the yard with his people. Earth is thriving in his foster home, where he lives harmoniously with four kids and a large dog. He’s a dream in the crate, settles easily, and even sleeps through the night without a peep (except for the occasional adorable snore). He’s making great progress with potty training and does well on a consistent schedule. If you’re not able to keep an eye on him, a little crate time helps him stay on track. Earth would make an amazing addition to just about any home. If you’re looking for a loving, joyful companion who brings both fun and snuggles, Earth is your guy!

Story
Stewie and Harry are a bonded senior duo looking for their forever home together. At 13 years old, these Rat Terrier/Shih Tzu mixes still have plenty of energy and love for their humans! Stewie, around 15 pounds, is the more people-focused of the two, sometimes smiling, begging for attention, or even jumping up when he’s overly excited to see his favorite human. Harry, about 23 pounds, is more independent but just as loving in his own way, often expressing himself with little grunts and snores. Both boys are house-trained and will let you know when it’s time to go out, whether by heading to the door or sitting up on their back legs as if to beg. They do not like being crated, but that's okay because they can be trusted free roaming. Due to some separation anxiety, they are much happier when someone is home with them and will need a home without shared walls (no apartments/townhomes).They adore their daily walks and have made great progress on leash — now happily going out 4–6 times a day for short strolls of 10–20 minutes. Walks are their favorite activity, keeping them young at heart and giving Harry the chance to show off his love for squirrels, ducks, and rabbits. Inside, however, they are mostly couch potatoes, with Stewie often curling up close to his person and Harry preferring his own spot to snooze.Stewie and Harry are good with other dogs and have done well around cats. They enjoy kids but, being seniors, would do best with older children who can respect their space.Though they may be opposites in many ways, they couldn't love each other more. If you’re looking for two sweet, silly, and loyal companions to share your life and daily walks with, Harry and Stewie are ready for you!If you are interested in these dogs, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Bean, a 4-month-old sweetie of a Jack Russell mix. Found as a stray in Texas, Bean hasn’t had many chances to learn how to just be a puppy, but he’s already showing how incredibly smart and affectionate he is. He scares easily at first, but with a little patience and reassurance, he quickly relaxes and shows his playful, cuddly side. Bean understands when he’s in trouble—he’ll give you the best puppy eyes before wiggling his way back into your good graces. He’s eager to learn and will thrive in a home that can help him build confidence and teach him the ropes of puppy life. Bean loves to snuggle, is quick to bond, and just wants to be close to his people. With a kind, steady hand and lots of love, this sweet, smart boy will grow into the perfect companion. Bean is from Texas.  If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Judge (aka Freddie) — the sweetest underdog you’ll ever meet, hoping to find a calm and loving forever home. Freddie is a gentle, affectionate boy who feels safest in a quiet, predictable environment. He can be timid, especially around men, and appreciates slow, patient introductions with new people. He’s currently on fluoxetine for anxiety, has a few allergies, and past ear infections have left him a bit hard of hearing. His eyesight may be a little limited too, so sudden movements or noisy environments can startle him. Freddie gets along wonderfully with respectful dogs and friendly cats. He currently lives with a 70-lb dog and three cats and fits right in—he even shares naps with one of the cats. With his humans, he’s incredibly loving, happily trailing from room to room and snuggling into bed at night. He’s not a fan of crates, but he’s completely trustworthy when left home alone. Freddie is a sensitive soul with a huge heart. Check out this sweet  video   of Judge. He really is the best boy and will thrive with someone who can offer him the calm, steady love he’s been waiting for. Judge is from Texas.
