Story
Meet Buzz, also known as Piper! This sweet girl’s world was turned upside down when her beloved owner passed away and no family was able to take her in. While Piper may be a little shy at first, once you become acquainted, she is all cuddles and  kisses. Her big brown eyes that look up at you with adoration will  really steal your heart.  She is happy either going on a walk or running around a yard. At the  first hint of a walk, she starts leaping in the air and twirling around.  On a walk, she will follow scents like she's on a mission, and in the  yard she enjoys playing fetch. At home, she will curl up near you or  follow you around. At night, she likes to be in her kennel. She seems to get along okay with other dogs but is a little shy around them. She  is a potty-trained girl ready to find a family who will love her forever.      Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, rabies vaccination, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Distemper combo vaccines appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm and flea/tick preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:$325.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 22, 2026, 11:27 am

Story
Hi, my name is Peek and I am from Alabama! Peek is deaf and only has half his vision, but that doesn't slow him down! He loves playing with other dogs and kids. Since he can't hear he can get startled, but his trust comes quickly! Peek loves to play tug of war and is always interested in a chew toy! When he gets tired he always looks for a lap to snuggle in. While he doesn't love going into his crate, he settles down quickly and sleeps quietly all night. Peek would do well with another active dog who can help him. He also has a high pitch whine when left alone, so someone who is home often or doesn't have shared walls would be a better fit.

Story
Pound Cake! 🐾 Pound Cake is a lovable 7-year-old Chihuahua weighing just 11 pounds and looking for his forever family! This sweet boy is the perfect combination of cuddle buddy and walking companion. He loves being held, enjoys leisurely walks, and has excellent leash manners. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and has been very respectful of his tiny Chiweenie foster sister. Pound Cake is well-behaved, easygoing, and happiest when he's close to his people. He'll greet you like you've been gone for years, even if it's only been a few minutes! Because he loves companionship so much, he'd do best in a home where someone is around often. He's making great progress with house training, enjoys free roam of the house, and doesn't require a fenced yard as long as he gets regular walks. Rescued from Texas and full of love to give, Pound Cake is ready to trade foster life for a forever lap. Could that lap be yours.

Story
Would you like your very own Wishbone or RCA Dog? With Empress, you get both! This adorable little Frankenstein dog is the perfect mix of Rat Terrier and Jack Russell, complete with a dainty Rat Terrier head, a wonderfully chonky Russell body, and the most magnificent butterball ham hocks. When she curls up for a nap, she basically turns into a potato. And honestly, she's perfect just the way she is. Despite her royal name, Empress is no diva. She's a soulful, sensitive sweetheart who is happiest curled up beside her people, soaking up affection and enjoying the comforts of home. She's independent enough to relax on her own, but if you're nearby, she'd much rather be right next to you. Empress enjoys her daily walks and can zip along when she's out exploring. Every now and then she breaks into the cutest little zoomies, reminding everyone that there's still some terrier spice under that couch-potato exterior. But most of the time, she's perfectly content with cuddles, naps, and being part of the family. This quiet, gentle girl loves people and has wonderfully easygoing manners. She's crate trained and has had zero accidents in her foster home, even during a full workday. She knows her basic commands and happily goes into her crate when asked. Empress has also shown that she's quite the gracious roommate. She's peacefully coexisted with gentle dogs, cats, and children, although slow introductions and thoughtful supervision are important. She'd do best with older or respectful children who understand that even an empress occasionally needs uninterrupted nap time. What Empress really wants is pretty simple: a calm, quiet home, a comfortable couch, daily walks, and a person who thinks having a little potato-shaped shadow nearby sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day. If you're looking for a sweet, sensitive, wonderfully quirky companion who is equal parts loyal best friend and professional couch potato, Empress is ready to take her rightful place in your heart—and possibly on your couch. ---- This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian.

Story
Hi there! I'm Domingo, an 8-month-old, 11-pound bundle of happiness who's convinced that life is one big adventure. I may be small, but my heart (and my personality!) are absolutely enormous. My favorite thing in the whole world? My people! I'll greet you like you've been gone for years, even if you just stepped into the next room. I love belly rubs, head scratches, cuddles, and handing out plenty of puppy kisses. Sometimes I get a little mouthy when I'm asking for attention, but once those scratches start, I melt into a happy little puddle. When I'm not soaking up affection, you'll probably catch me racing after my favorite ball or showing off my legendary zoomies. I've even invented my own version of parkour by bouncing off furniture (and occasionally the people sitting on it!). My foster thinks I'd have a blast in agility because I'm quick, athletic, and always ready for fun. I'm a social butterfly and love meeting new people. I love to chase cats, but I get along wonderfully with other dogs. I also do great with the teenager in my foster home. I'm still learning my potty manners, but I'm making great progress. I can sleep through the entire night—more than nine hours!—without needing a potty break, and I'm wonderfully quiet at bedtime. I also settle nicely in my crate. Since I'm very food motivated, I happily hang out there during family meals while I keep practicing my table manners. I'm looking for a family that's ready to continue my puppy training, give me lots of love, and enjoy all the laughter that comes with my silly antics. In return, I'll fill your days with cuddles, kisses, happy greetings, and endless entertainment. If you're searching for a pint-sized best friend with a giant heart, I can't wait to meet you. I promise to love you with everything I've got! ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

Story
Meaghan would like everyone to know that she loves dogs. All dogs. Big dogs. Small dogs. New dogs. Dogs she met five minutes ago. If there is a dog nearby, Meaghan would probably like to be friends. People, however, are a much more complicated subject. Meaghan is a shy little girl who wants attention but is still learning that humans can be trusted. She may hang back at first, watch from a safe distance, and carefully evaluate your intentions before deciding whether you belong in her circle. The funny thing is that while Meaghan can be cautious with people, her feelings become much easier to read when she is happy. She has an adorable little side to side happy dance that appears when she gets excited. It is impossible not to smile when you see it. Meaghan would thrive in a home with another friendly dog. Confident canine friends help her feel safe, show her the ropes, and remind her that life is meant to be enjoyed. She is truly a dog’s dog and lights up around other pups. What Meaghan needs most is a patient family willing to let her move at her own pace. No pressure. No expectations. Just kindness, consistency, and the time she needs to realize that she is finally safe. As her confidence grows, so does the sweet, affectionate little dog hiding underneath her worries. If you are looking for a gentle companion and have a friendly dog who would love a new best friend, Meaghan may be the perfect addition to your family. Meaghan is from Texas.
