Story
Hi, my name is Sugar Socks and I am from Kentucky! From her foster: This gentle, snuggly pup is the perfect blend of quiet sweetness and adventurous spirit. She adores being around people and has been wonderfully respectful of our older resident dog who prefers space. Sugar Socks is doing great with her crate: she eats in it, sleeps in it overnight, and will settle in after a little initial whining. Despite her first few days with us being VERY cold, she's doing most of her pees outside and is working hard on mastering outdoor poops too. She's a wiggly, happy little hopper when she runs, always ready for praise and encouragement. If you're looking for a loving companion with a soft heart with wiggle butt charm, Sugar Socks is your girl!

Story
Hi, my name is Sleighbell Spectacle and I am from Kentucky! Sleighbell Spectacle is a beautiful, curious and fun-loving pup who enjoys playing and goofing around, followed by a good snuggle and sleep session. She’s done well with potty training and has quickly picked up on going right away outside - even in these cold temps! She is playful and sweet and enjoys playing with my three kids and our two larger resident dogs. She settles quickly in her crate and sleeps through the night until we wake her in the morning!

Story
Welcome 4-year-old Bowser to CCPAL Rescue. Bowser is a Rat Terrier mix. We think he is mixed with Dachshund. He appears to be house trained because he doesn’t like to go in his kennel even though there is a wee pad. He is smart. He is adorable and weighs about 15 pounds. He is good on a leash and knows the sit command. He is lower on the shedding scale. He loves car rides and if he is off leash and you need him to come, you can open the car door and he will jump in. The only thing he isn’t great at is nail trims. He doesn’t like them, so we let the vet techs do that at his appointments or his groomer. He would be a great walking companion. He has lived in a home with small children and did great. We would like all the children to be 8 or older. He is very affectionate and liked it when Colin held him today. He can run very fast and he comes when you call. He is good with other dogs, even when bigger than himself. He isn’t over vocal and will bond deeply to his human. Many people love the Rat Terrier breed because of their loving nature. He is currently in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue. He is getting his vaccines topped up and will be ready for his new forever home as soon as we find his placement. We think a moderately active family would be best. He is loving and cuddly but will need a yard to play in or a walk daily to get his exercise in. He is a Rat Terrier so he will have fun checking the yard for rodents. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Porltand, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Otis is an estimated 6-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix with a big heart and a lovable personality. Sadly this little guy has had to endure living outside in this horrible weather with a number of other dogs and the very reason we chose to help him. Otis deserve better from humans and we promised him that.  This charming little guy is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and ready to find a home to call his own. Otis does well with other dogs and enjoys their company, making him a great fit for a home with canine companions. He has not been cat tested at this time. Otis recently had a lump removed from his foot and is on the road to recovery, eager to move forward into his next chapter surrounded by love and stability. He’s a wonderful companion looking for a family who will appreciate his personality, provide a safe and loving home, and enjoy all the loyalty he has to offer.
