Story

Jack was born in rescue after his mother was surrendered when owner passed away. He and his sister were the only surviving pups. The mother rejected them at 2 weeks, and they were bottle fed until able to eat puppy food. Jack is a good and smart little boy. He has mastered pee pad training and will start learning house training very soon. We do not allow puppies to touch ground until they have received multiple distemper parvo vaccinations. His siter is with a foster to adopt and now it's Jack's turn to find his family. Look into those eyes and tell me he isn't the most handsome little guy. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Lucy was surrendered from her family because hospice came and the family could no longer care for her. Lucy is a very affectionate little girl that loves to snuggle under the covers with you at night. She loves to walk on a leash and go for car rides. During her vetting, she was found to be heartworm positive. She has completed all vetting and had her heartworm treatment. She is looking for a family to call her own. She does have an underbite, but otherwise very healthy now. Will you be that family to give her a new life in the new year? Welcome 4-year-old Bowser to CCPAL Rescue. Bowser is a Rat Terrier mix. We think he is mixed with Dachshund. He appears to be house trained because he doesn’t like to go in his kennel even though there is a wee pad. He is smart. He is adorable and weighs about 15 pounds. He is good on a leash and knows the sit command. He is lower on the shedding scale. He loves car rides and if he is off leash and you need him to come, you can open the car door and he will jump in. The only thing he isn’t great at is nail trims. He doesn’t like them, so we let the vet techs do that at his appointments or his groomer. He would be a great walking companion. He has lived in a home with small children and did great. We would like all the children to be 8 or older. He is very affectionate and liked it when Colin held him today. He can run very fast and he comes when you call. He is good with other dogs, even when bigger than himself. He isn’t over vocal and will bond deeply to his human. Many people love the Rat Terrier breed because of their loving nature. He is currently in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue. He is getting his vaccines topped up and will be ready for his new forever home as soon as we find his placement. We think a moderately active family would be best. He is loving and cuddly but will need a yard to play in or a walk daily to get his exercise in. He is a Rat Terrier so he will have fun checking the yard for rodents. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Porltand, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200.
