🌷🐶 ADOPT SHILOH 🐶🌷 Shiloh is such a silly little character! She is nervous with new situations and people she doesn't know, but once you're inside her "circle of trust", she transforms into a sweet, sassy, funny girl. Shiloh will do anything for a treat. You can teach her just about anything you like...as long as you have snacks! 😁 This adorable little girl is so athletic and fast! She learns very quickly, but she's young and thrives with consistency, structure, and reinforcement. She can be a bit skittish with sudden movements or noises, so we don't think small children will be the best fit for her. She is snuggly and fun and full of big personality in a tiny pup. She's looking for a family who wants to spend time with her. She loves to be with her people. Please consider adding Shiloh to your family. ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.tinyurl.com/IADRAdoptionApp ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Hudson is a 3 year old, 9 lb Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. He is a tiny, adorable dog with a huge personality that will keep you laughing all the time! He loves to play with other dogs and is always the first to make friends when new fosters come into the house. He can hold his own with big dogs and little dogs alike. His favorite activity is running zoomies, and he will run so hard and fast down the hall that he bounces off the wall...but he hops right back up and is ready for more. He also loves to explore the backyard and find the perfect stick or hunt down those annoying cicadas! Hudson doesn't live with kids, but we think he would be ok with kids ages 10 and over. Kids will need to understand that Hudson is not the type of dog to be chased or picked up. Hudson is cuddly and loves to snuggle at night, but prefers it on his own terms. He doesn't love being picked up...it scares him a little...but he is getting more used to it. Having other dogs around is a must for him as it gives him confidence and someone whose lead he can follow. He is housetrained with a dog door but is probably going to mark at first, so if that's a huge deal to you, he's not your dog (remember, he's tiny so the clean-up is negligible). Bring a smile to your face every day - take Hudson home with you! You can apply at www.humanetomorrow.org, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Meet Maya! Maya was adopted as a puppy but as the family grew over the last year, with a toddler and another baby on the way, the family decided that Maya it too tiny and fragile for the little people in her life. She is now in LHS foster care seeking a forever home to call her own.  Weighing in at 15lbs and 1 1/12 years old, this little girl is all kinds of adorable.  She is good with other dogs and people. She can be a little shy at first so a home that isn't high traffic would be best. She is crate trained and housebroken.  She is heartworm negative, microchipped, spayed, current on her vaccinations and all she needs now is a forever home to call her own. If you are interested in meeting this little girl, please complete an online application and the foster will be in touch asap: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Meet Bobbie, the tiny pup with a big personality! Fate brought Bobbie and her rescuers together. Good Samaritans found the sweet little 9-pound pup, soaking wet, shivering, and missing a lot of fur. They named her Bobbie, in memory of their dog Bobby who was rescued from the same area and who had recently passed away. Since being rescued, Bobbie has gone from being shy an scared to being happy and playful. This little nugget would thrive with another doggo so they can play all day! She is totally crate-trained and doesn't make a peep at night. Fill out an application to meet sweet Bobbie! Story
Meet Pete, a playful and joyful little boy who knows how to have a good time. Whether it's wrestling with balls, toys, or anything that smells enticing, Pete is up for the challenge. He's even the type to stop and smell the roses, enjoying life's simple pleasures. While Pete can entertain himself, he thrives when another dog is around to share in the fun. After all the excitement of smelling and playing, he's happy to curl up in your arms, on your lap, or by your side for a relaxing "chill" session. Pete's personality is nothing short of huge, promising to bring amazement wherever he goes. This lovable pup is fond of kids, dogs, and anyone willing to spend quality time with him during the day. Despite his adventurous past of wandering around train tracks and causing a traffic pause when he was found, Pete is not a daredevil – he's just a guy on the lookout for a loving family to call his own. If you're ready for a bundle of joy with a big heart, Pete is the perfect addition to your home. ##1872059##

Story
We are heartbroken, we are relocating and unable to have pets at the new residence. Frosty is a beloved, sweet, laid back lady who loves relaxing with a chewy. I have always loved the way her ears would look like fairy wings when they're perked up. She is mostly an inside dog who loves curling up on the sofa and taking strolls outside. She comes from a large tight knit family of 8. We raised her from a baby and she was the "pick of the litter" She is a wonderful cozy companion with a strong quiet energy. Frosty is gentle soul ,deeply loved, and needs a kind and loving home.
