Story
Snuggles & SplashesMeet Ginko—a sweet, playful girl who’s equal parts cuddle bug and splash enthusiast!Ginko is happiest when she’s with her person, checking in often on walks and staying nicely focused on her handler. She walks well on leash, knows “sit,” and is very treat-motivated—which makes her a great student for continued training. She’s eager to please and loves having a job to do, even if that job is just being your loyal sidekick. When it’s playtime, Ginko’s fun side really shines. Give her a pool and a toy, and she’ll happily splash around like it’s the best day ever! But after the fun, she’s just as content to head home and curl up for some cozy cuddle time. The big world can feel a little overwhelming for Ginko at times, so she’ll do best with a patient, gentle person who can help her build confidence at her own pace. Once she trusts you, she forms a deep, special bond that’s truly something special. She currently shares space with another dog and may enjoy a canine companion in her future home.If you’re looking for a playful, loving pup who will be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, and your splash partner—Ginko is ready to meet you!Ginko has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. Story
Meet my sweet 3-year-old Rottweiler—a loyal, loving companion who truly just wants to be close to his person. He’s the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room, happy just to be by your side, and always ready for a walk, some playtime, or a cozy spot to relax near you. He has a gentle, affectionate nature with the people he trusts and forms strong bonds with his family. He’s smart, attentive, and thrives when he has structure, consistency, and someone who understands and appreciates the Rottweiler breed. He would do best in a home where he can feel secure and comfortable, ideally with someone who enjoys dogs and can give him the time, attention, and positive environment he deserves. Like many dogs, he picks up on energy around him, and he truly shines in a calm, dog-friendly home. This is a really special dog with so much love to give—he just needs the right match where he can be his best, happiest self.

Story
Gigi is a very special dog! She is a 1.5 years old, spayed, vaccinated, and docked purebred Rottweiler. She is special needs due to a rare autoimmune condition. She was found as a stray in Modesto in poor health. The shelter did not know what was wrong with her, but they knew she needed more help than they could give, so she was set to be euthanized. Thankfully, our rescue stepped in, took her into our care, and got her the help she needs. Our vet diagnosed her with entropion (inverted eyelashes) causing almost total blindness and severe cranial muscle atrophy caused by a rare autoimmune condition called Masticatory Muscle Myositis (MMM) that was left untreated for the first year of her life. After thousands of dollars in treatments and multiple surgeries including the insertion of permanent contacts into her eyes, Gigi can finally see! She has made a full recovery. Gigi is still special needs. She cannot open her mouth more than an inch high, so she is at an increased risk of choking and needs to be monitored with toys. She also has been isolated from the outside world for months while in recovery, so she is still learning about the world around her and how to socialize with new dogs. She is currently dog selective, she gets along with friendly dogs that respect her space. She has not been tested with children or cats.

Story
Meet Hash Brown, a friendly yet slightly shy girl with an energetic spirit and a loyal heart. Despite her initial shyness, she showcases a friendly and loving nature with those she learns to trust. She loves playing fetch and going on walks, her energy making her the perfect companion for active individuals or families. Her loyalty shines through as she forms strong bonds with those who show her kindness and patience. Hash Brown`s friendly, energetic, and loyal personality makes her the ideal companion. Bring her home and experience the joy of a true, loyal friendship that only a pet like Hash Brown can offer. Hash Brown can be anxious in new spaces, so we are requiring that any children in her new home are age 10 or older so they can understand her needs. She does not enjoy the company of other dogs, so we are requiring that she is the only dog in her new home. Adoption Price: Fee Waived!
