Meet Bruce 🖤 Some dogs deserve an extra investment in their future. Bruce was already an amazing dog, but because he's a strong, intelligent Malinois mix, we wanted to give both him and his future family every opportunity to succeed. That's the promise we make to all of our Misfits. Bruce has spent the past couple of months in a professional board-and-train program with Beyond the Bark, and he has absolutely thrived. Like most Malinois, he's happiest when his body and brain stay active. Give him daily exercise and mental enrichment, and you'll have one of the sweetest, calmest, most affectionate companions you could ask for. Bruce is about 66 pounds and under 2 years old, loves people, does great with other dogs, is crate trained, and is a world-class couch snuggler after a day of fun. Bruce's story almost ended at an overcrowded shelter after months of being overlooked. Although he was a shelter favorite, he ended up on the euthanasia list simply because space ran out. The Misfit Ranch stepped in just in time, and now he's not just surviving—he's thriving. Bruce has done the work and is ready to bring everything he's learned to his forever home. Bruce will have training that goes with him and his new family. To set him up for continued success, we're looking for a home without cats or very young children, where he can continue building on the incredible foundation he's already been given. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy who also happens to be an expert snuggler, Bruce is ready to be your best friend. 🖤🐾

Meet Molly Molly's story started in a heartbreaking way — she was tied to a tree by her previous owner, left behind and with no idea what was going to happen next. Molly is located in the Sacramento area which is quite a bit outside our normal foster radius. But sometimes a dog comes along whose story pulls at your heart a little harder. We felt drawn to Molly and knew we couldn't turn away from her. And we're so glad we didn't. Today, Molly is a 2-year-old Pit Bull mix who is friendly, loving, calm, and incredibly sweet. Despite the way her story began, she has so much love to give and hasn't let her past change the wonderful dog she is. Molly is the kind of dog who meets you and immediately decides you're her new best friend. Her funniest habit? About two seconds after greeting you, she'll flop dramatically onto her back for belly rubs.She loves cuddling, being petted, and sitting on you whenever possible. Her favorite place to be scratched is, naturally, her belly. She has a moderate energy level and loves a good mix of adventure and relaxation. Her favorite activities include walks, hikes, swimming, tug-of-war, playing with balls and toys, and hanging out with her people. Molly is fully housebroken and is trusted to free-roam in the home while unsupervised. She would love a family who enjoys getting out for walks and adventures but also appreciates a good afternoon of relaxing together. Molly would do best in a home without cats.
