Meet Bruce 🖤 Some dogs deserve an extra investment in their future. Bruce was already an amazing dog, but because he's a strong, intelligent Malinois mix, we wanted to give both him and his future family every opportunity to succeed. That's the promise we make to all of our Misfits. Bruce has spent the past couple of months in a professional board-and-train program with Beyond the Bark, and he has absolutely thrived. Like most Malinois, he's happiest when his body and brain stay active. Give him daily exercise and mental enrichment, and you'll have one of the sweetest, calmest, most affectionate companions you could ask for. Bruce is about 66 pounds and under 2 years old, loves people, does great with other dogs, is crate trained, and is a world-class couch snuggler after a day of fun. Bruce's story almost ended at an overcrowded shelter after months of being overlooked. Although he was a shelter favorite, he ended up on the euthanasia list simply because space ran out. The Misfit Ranch stepped in just in time, and now he's not just surviving—he's thriving. Bruce has done the work and is ready to bring everything he's learned to his forever home. Bruce will have training that goes with him and his new family. To set him up for continued success, we're looking for a home without cats or very young children, where he can continue building on the incredible foundation he's already been given. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy who also happens to be an expert snuggler, Bruce is ready to be your best friend. 🖤🐾

ZELDA IS IN FOSTER CARE IN HESPERIA CALIF AND MUST ME MET AND PICKED UP THERE. Zelda is a stunning 1-year-old, 85-pound XL Bully with a rare merle coat and an even more beautiful personality. She is looking for a loving forever home with someone who is familiar with her breed and committed to continuing her training and socialization. Zelda absolutely loves people. She is affectionate, happy, eager to please, and greets everyone with kisses, a wiggly butt, and her famous giant tail that never seems to stop wagging. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her sweet nature. Her rescue story is one we'll never forget. Zelda was found abandoned in the desert, scared and unsure of people. For a week, we returned every day to feed her and slowly earn her trust. When it came time to rescue her, our trapper set a humane trap. Within five minutes, Zelda walked right inside. As soon as we opened the door, she calmly walked out, wagging her huge tail, giving kisses, and gently taking treats from our hands. It was as if she knew she was finally safe. Sadly, no one ever came looking for Zelda. She wasn't microchipped, and we can only assume she was abandoned instead of being taken to a shelter. Since coming into our rescue, she has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and is now fully vetted and ready to begin her new life with a family who will never let her down again. Zelda has been introduced to two large male Bullies and did wonderfully, greeting them with nonstop tail wags and friendly body language. She is not a good fit for a home with cats and would do best in a home without small pets. Because of her size and strength, she will do best with an experienced owner who understands the XL Bully breed. XL Bullies are known for being loyal, affectionate, and devoted companions. With consistent training, regular exercise, and continued socialization, they make wonderful family members. Zelda is still young and eager to learn. She can be strong on leash, but she is incredibly people-oriented and truly wants to please her person. She quickly became a favorite at our veterinary clinic during her vaccination and spay appointments. The staff couldn't stop admiring her unique beauty and friendly personality, and everyone wanted to come over to pet her. Then spend the rest of the day following her person around the house, supervising everything they're doing. The afternoon can go one of several ways: sleep, walk, run, train, repeat. Jewel isn't picky. At the end of the day, take another walk, maybe let those zoomies loose, then settle down next to her person for some quiet time. And finally? Sleep until tomorrow and do it all over again. Jewel doesn't need a complicated life. She just needs someone who will give her the time to feel safe, earn her trust, and let her show them just how much love she has to give.
