Story
Hello, I’m reaching out to ask about owner-assisted rehoming or rescue placement for our 1.5-year-old Rottweiler, Tank. We are located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Tank is a loving, energetic young Rottweiler who does well with other dogs and currently lives peacefully with our 10-year-old dog. They play and coexist without issues. He has also been around children; while he is not aggressive, he can be a bit rough due to his size and energy, which is something we manage closely. With a baby on the way, we’ve had to make the very difficult decision to look for a home that can give Tank the time, consistency, and training he deserves. He gets three walks a day and is crate-trained at night, but he would truly thrive with someone experienced with large working breeds who can continue his training. Behavior notes (being fully transparent): Energetic and strong; benefits from structure Counter-surfs Leash-reactive to vehicles (lunging, not aggression)

Story
Coffee is a beautiful rottweiler who was at risk of getting shot after being dumped on a rural property. She was heartworm positive but has been treated for it. She has stubby tail. She has been good with male and female dogs medium to large but has not been around small dogs or cats. She is very very friendly with people. She walks well on the leash. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) All dogs/cats can be adopted in all locations below, regardless of where they are posted. Story
**Mollie is a board and train dog through Brighter Days.  Please read all about this before applying to adopt** Mollie is a 2 year old Rottie mix Mollie was surrendered to Brighter Days Dog Resue because her previous owners had never taken the time to train her properly.  Becuase of this she was surrendered to Brighter Days to find a family who actually has the time and dedication a 4-legged companion needs.  When an adult dog comes to us lacking any sort of training we immediately get them into our board and train program.  One of the main reasons dogs get euthanized in an overcrowded shelter is due to lack of training.  When we started Brighter Days we made a commitment that we would make sure every single Brighter Days Dog would be set up for a life time of success, which includes training.  Our trainer works so hard to get these dogs to be wonderful, stable, balanced, obedient, great dogs.  To make sure their hard work is not lost over time due to owners who don't continue the training, we require each one of our adopters who is adopting a board and train dog to take our trainers classes in longmont.  It is an eight week course that is usually $300, but for Brighter Days adopters it is free! Here is what our Trainer has to say about Mollie: Mollie is a high energy, hilarious, sweet and affectionate dog. Mollie will need daily exercise, so an active home is best for her, a home that enjoys walking, running, hiking, etc. Also she needs a house with a big yard and a fully enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence. She is an awesome dog and will be perfect for the right, active family.  We are going to require Molly goes to a home without other dogs, cats, and kids just to make sure she is set up for success.   If you are inerested in adopting Mollie please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##1403699##

Story
Debbie is a sweet, snuggly Doberman with all the classic traits—loyal, playful, and full of personality. Debbie adores kids (ages 8 and up if you have another dog, any age if she is the only dog) and just wants a family who will help her live her best life. She’s a pro at free-roaming when you’re away, and she LOVES making friends with other dogs (with proper introductions, of course). We are working on occasional resource guarding from our other dogs. Car rides? Her absolute favorite—especially with the window cracked so she can sniff the world! Her dream home? Her own big backyard with a 5-foot fence where she can soak up the sun, chase squirrels, and chat with the neighborhood pups. Debbie does bark and is not a fit for homes with shared walls. Debbie had a dental through the rescue. Her adopter will need to commit to taking her for dentals yearly.
