Story
Phillip is a 95 lbs, 1-2 year old, natural tail, Rottweiler. He’s a fun loving boy and he wants us to be sure and tell you that his forever home must have an endless supply of tennis balls. A fetch machine would be a plus, too (although a human arm with stamina to keep throwing a ball will do). Phillip was surrendered to a local CO shelter because he wrestled too hard with the human kids in his home (not his fault, they owned him from the time he was a pup and encouraged rough play). According to Phillip’s prior family he is great with dogs but prefers they leave his ball alone. Phillip is crate trained, house trained, and uses a doggie door. The shelter recommended him for a home with kids at 16+, but the foster kids in his present foster home are 14 and up and he’s awesome with them. Phillip is extremely toy motivated which will make additional training a breeze! Phillip is in foster in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/phillip. Story
Gosh, what’s not to love about Macy! Macy is approx 6 years old and 62 lbs. Her foster mom describes her as a big ole couch potato. It’s an absolute MUST that her forever home let her partake in bedtime snuggles and daytime binging of Netflix and couch cuddling. Macy loves kiddos, too. She’s a nanny dog through and through. In fact, while Macy was in the shelter in NM, she delivered a litter of puppies and they all passed away from disease. It’s no wonder her tiny human foster kids warm her heart so much. Macy is also good with other canine friends. Her canine foster siblings range in size from tiny to large and she’s good with both. She’s looking for a true forever family of her own. Macy has been spayed and also had a dental so her new family won’t have to worry about that for a few years. Macy is in foster in Loveland, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/macy/. Story
We rescued Elsie from the humane society two years ago, and love her dearly. She is a gentle female dog who embodies loyalty, sweetness, and a love for attention. With a low-energy demeanor, she's happiest by your side, reveling in affectionate moments. Elsie's loyalty shines brightest in her bond with her humans, though she can be particular about her dog friends, preferring quality over quantity in canine companionship. Elsie is also more comfortable in the company of adults or older kids. We have made the difficult decision to find a new home for Elsie, as our household now includes an active toddler whose needs are different from what Elsie is accustomed to. Please reach out and let’s find my sweet girl a new, loving home!

Story
Meet  Bailey, the happiest dog you can ever hope to meet!  She has never met a human she doesn’t like and greets everyone like they are a long lost friend!   She is house and kennel trained, happily sleeping in her kennel at night and when needed during the day but will  enthusiastically  jump in the car when given the opportunity to tag along!  She is currently enrolled in obedience classes and knows all her basic commands (sit, down, stay, wait, leave it and touch) and is working hard to learn to keep four paws on the ground!   She is dog social and would enjoy a playmate but might not do well with a cat, they look too much like squirrels.   Due to her exuberance she will do best with children over 8 and will need a secure HIGH fence to keep her safely inside.   To meet this amazing girl put in an app at eapl.com, her adoption fee is $250. Story
**Mollie is a board and train dog through Brighter Days.  Please read all about this before applying to adopt** Mollie is a 2 year old Rottie mix Mollie was surrendered to Brighter Days Dog Resue because her previous owners had never taken the time to train her properly.  Becuase of this she was surrendered to Brighter Days to find a family who actually has the time and dedication a 4-legged companion needs.  When an adult dog comes to us lacking any sort of training we immediately get them into our board and train program.  One of the main reasons dogs get euthanized in an overcrowded shelter is due to lack of training.  When we started Brighter Days we made a commitment that we would make sure every single Brighter Days Dog would be set up for a life time of success, which includes training.  Our trainer works so hard to get these dogs to be wonderful, stable, balanced, obedient, great dogs.  To make sure their hard work is not lost over time due to owners who don't continue the training, we require each one of our adopters who is adopting a board and train dog to take our trainers classes in longmont.  It is an eight week course that is usually $300, but for Brighter Days adopters it is free! Here is what our Trainer has to say about Mollie: Mollie is a high energy, hilarious, sweet and affectionate dog. Mollie will need daily exercise, so an active home is best for her, a home that enjoys walking, running, hiking, etc. Also she needs a house with a big yard and a fully enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence. She is an awesome dog and will be perfect for the right, active family.  We are going to require Molly goes to a home without other dogs, cats, and kids just to make sure she is set up for success.   If you are inerested in adopting Mollie please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##1403699##

Story
Beamer was adopted from our Rescue as a young puppy and is now 4 years old.  His  living situation has become an issue with his family, it was no fault of his own behavior.  He was moved into a small apartment with no room for him to play.  He is a big boy that really wants to be loved by a family of his own.  He is neutered, microchipped and current on shots.  He will need time to adjust and know that his family will take care of him and love him.  Due to his size and activity level, no small children preferred and a large fenced yard. ##1629027##
