Story
It truly breaks my heart to have to make this decision, but due to unexpected life changes and financial hardship, I’m no longer able to give my Rottweiler the time, space, and stability they deserve. My work situation has changed, and I’m not home enough to provide the attention and structure this breed needs to thrive. This has nothing to do with their behavior — they are loyal, loving, protective, and full of personality. Rottweilers need consistent training, exercise, and companionship, and I want to make sure they go to a home that can give them that long-term commitment. My priority is finding a responsible, stable home with someone experienced with large breeds (preferably Rottweilers) who understands their strength and intelligence. I’m committed to making sure they go to the right person, not just the first person. This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make, but it’s being done out of love and wanting the best future possible for my dog.

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. Brahms is a handsome 7-year-old Rottweiler. His favorite activities include fetch, wrestling, and running on wooded trails. He is good with other dogs outside and inside, loves to chase and romp with his friends but also enjoys long hours of sunbathing. He also gets along with people and gravitates towards confident and respectful handlers. True to his breed, it takes him time to trust strangers but once you have established a relationship, he is your best friend.    Brahms already knows basic commands- sit, down, stay, wait (for food and at doors), focus, here, crate and touch. He also has excellent recall. He is a loud player and grumbles when he is happy and getting butt rubs.    Brahams would do great in a home with experience with Rotties and large strong-willed breeds. He will need daily exercise in the form of walks or play time in the yard. He is crate trained, and part of his routine is that he stays in there when no one is home or when strangers come into the house. We have not noticed any resource guarding with toys or food, but he does prefer to be left alone during mealtimes. He plays fetch very politely and returns the ball as further evidence of no resource guarding.   Brahms had to overcome a traumatic past. He was found living on a balcony of an abandoned property when animal control finally seized him. His former owner had a lengthy record of neglect and cruelty. For two years, neighbors would hear Brahms barking through the night pushing an empty bowl. To make things worse, Brahms remained in the shelter system on court hold for two more years until he was released earlier this year.    Brahms is ready to start a new chapter in life as a cherished pet in a loving home. He is ready to be your loyal companion in return.    Reels:    https://www.instagram.com/reel/DI4R4YEPZSQ/?igsh=MWlyaG91ajB0NTJidg%3D%3D   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DIzMC00ubrg/?igsh=MTlzbW1hMTc0NjE1YQ%3D%3D     Age: 7 years Weight: 90 lbs Temperament: Gets along with other dogs with proper introduction.  No experience with kids or cats. Training: Housetrained, crate-trained, obedience-trained Vetting: neuter on 5/5/25, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention Email for questions:    sonali@doggieharmony.org To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.March 7, 2026, 5:36 pm

Story
Bo is an energetic 4 year old Boxer/Cur mix who loves to play!  He gets along well with all of his foster canine siblings, both large and small. He even peacefully tolerates the family cats.   Bo was rescued from an owner who was about to have him euthanized since her new home didn't allow dogs. His foster mom couldn't bear to see that happen after learning how happy, full of life and potential Bo seemed.   We suspect Bo spent a great deal of time alone or in a crate. He is learning new manners every day and doing well with potty training. Bo does not like to go into a crate, possibly because of PTSD with them in his previous home. He loves to bounce when he's excited so he needs a reliable fenced yard to keep him safe.   To meet happy, handsome Bo, please apply at www.buttsmutts.com for immediate consideration!  ##2673280##
