Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. Brahms is a handsome 7-year-old Rottweiler. His favorite activities include fetch, wrestling, and running on wooded trails. He is good with other dogs outside and inside, loves to chase and romp with his friends but also enjoys long hours of sunbathing. He also gets along with people and gravitates towards confident and respectful handlers. True to his breed, it takes him time to trust strangers but once you have established a relationship, he is your best friend.    Brahms already knows basic commands- sit, down, stay, wait (for food and at doors), focus, here, crate and touch. He also has excellent recall. He is a loud player and grumbles when he is happy and getting butt rubs.    Brahams would do great in a home with experience with Rotties and large strong-willed breeds. He will need daily exercise in the form of walks or play time in the yard. He is crate trained, and part of his routine is that he stays in there when no one is home or when strangers come into the house. We have not noticed any resource guarding with toys or food, but he does prefer to be left alone during mealtimes. He plays fetch very politely and returns the ball as further evidence of no resource guarding.   Brahms had to overcome a traumatic past. He was found living on a balcony of an abandoned property when animal control finally seized him. His former owner had a lengthy record of neglect and cruelty. For two years, neighbors would hear Brahms barking through the night pushing an empty bowl. To make things worse, Brahms remained in the shelter system on court hold for two more years until he was released earlier this year.    Brahms is ready to start a new chapter in life as a cherished pet in a loving home. He is ready to be your loyal companion in return.    Reels:    https://www.instagram.com/reel/DI4R4YEPZSQ/?igsh=MWlyaG91ajB0NTJidg%3D%3D   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DIzMC00ubrg/?igsh=MTlzbW1hMTc0NjE1YQ%3D%3D     Age: 7 years Weight: 90 lbs Temperament: Gets along with other dogs with proper introduction.  No experience with kids or cats. Training: Housetrained, crate-trained, obedience-trained Vetting: neuter on 5/5/25, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention Email for questions:    sonali@doggieharmony.org To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
It truly breaks my heart to have to make this decision, but due to unexpected life changes and financial hardship, I’m no longer able to give my Rottweiler the time, space, and stability they deserve. My work situation has changed, and I’m not home enough to provide the attention and structure this breed needs to thrive. This has nothing to do with their behavior — they are loyal, loving, protective, and full of personality. Rottweilers need consistent training, exercise, and companionship, and I want to make sure they go to a home that can give them that long-term commitment. My priority is finding a responsible, stable home with someone experienced with large breeds (preferably Rottweilers) who understands their strength and intelligence. I’m committed to making sure they go to the right person, not just the first person. This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make, but it’s being done out of love and wanting the best future possible for my dog.

Story
Peanut is a 1year old mixed breed that was acquired by my partner from a sketchy breeder (she didn’t want the pup to be sold to someone evil). He is a very active dog with lots of energy! He loves playing with his toys, especially his tug rope. He loves having frozen snacks and getting affection from everyone around him. He’s not trained very well so he’ll need someone patient and willing to train him. He’s potty trained, and a very good boy. We just want him to have the attention and resources he deserves, and we’re not able to give him that at the moment.

Story
Name: Peanut Age: 1 year, 4 months Sex: Male Birthday: 09/24/2024 Breed: Rottweiler/Terrier Mix Weight: 45 lbs (estimate) Fixed?: Yes Vaccines: Needs Distemper Medications/Allergies: None Additional Info: Looking to rehome my dog, Peanut. Peanut was taken in by my partner from a bad breeder. We do not have the funds nor the resources to help Peanut thrive, just wanted to get him out of that situation. He is very high energy and loves to play, something he can't do well with us constantly working and in a tiny apartment. He's done some training but nothing has been able to stick because of our packed work schedule. He will still sometimes have accidents in home, but not sure if thats due to him not being fully potty trained or us coming home late from work to walk him. He does not do well with the crate currently unless he has a toy or snack in there with him. He still has that puppy brain so he can become destructive if he has no toys. He's a very sweet boy and loves attention and pets

Story
I purchased Bruno from an Amish breeder, and he is AKC registered. He is a little over 2 years old and is in great health. Bruno is incredibly sweet, playful, and full of personality. He absolutely loves people and thrives on attention and interaction. He’s the type of dog that wants to be near you, whether you’re relaxing at home or out being active. I’m looking for a home that’s ready for a new best friend — someone who has the time, energy, and space to keep up with him. He would do best with an owner who enjoys being active and can give him the attention and engagement he deserves. He has so much love to give and would make an amazing companion in the right home.

Story
Riley is a 2-year-old male shepherd/Rottweiler mix with the sweetest, most loving personality. He’s great in the car, crate trained, and does well with older kids and other dogs. He’s very friendly and has a bit of happy energy, so little kids might get accidentally knocked over.  Riley is a total love bug who can’t wait to give kisses and be someone’s best friend! Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Otis is a loving and playful dog whose mom has faded out of his life.  He was left with family but they are allergic to him so we just need to find a home where he can get the affection he craves and maybe a fenced yard that he can run zoomies in - or someone who will give him plenty of walks.  He appears to be a boxer mix.  He certainly has the warm and gentle disposition of one. He loves attention.  And though he needs some leash training, he would make an excellent walking or hiking partner. He's been around other dogs and seems to be fine with them.  He would probably be best with bigger, sturdy kids as he loves to play and could knock down toddlers. Age: 4 years Weight: 50lbs Temperament: Gets along with other dogs, sturdy kids, all adults Training: House trained, crate trained Vetting: neuter is being scheduled, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm testing on 2.28 Email for questions:    clevelandmartiniv@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
Dexter is a sweet, goofy older boy who just wants someone to cuddle and play fetch with. He has been known to toss a ball or frisbee to himself in a pinch, but he definitely prefers a human companion for these sort of sporting activities! Dexter also loves walks and is very good on the leash, but he tends to tire out after a mile or two. He is house trained and crate trained, and while he has on occasion managed to Houdini his way out of his crate, he has never caused any actual damage to the crate nor gotten into any mischief after he freed himself. He does very well with other dogs, but would do just fine as an only dog as well - he definitely prefers the company of humans over canines! He is generally a very quiet, low-key dog. That said, we recommend he not be placed in a home with cats (he has not shown any prey-drive tendencies, but he is a little too interested in them for their comfort level). While he is a very gentle boy, he does sometimes get a little jumpy (especially when meeting new people) and can inadvertently head-butt with his big blocky head, so a home with older kids would be ideal. He is very smart and knows basic commands (sit, stay, come, crate) and LOVES treats! Dexter has not shown any resource-guarding tendencies regarding food, treats, or toys but he can be a vocal player with other dogs. Dexter would love a home with a nice fenced yard for playing fetch, where he gets lots of human attention and snuggles. And he's pretty well trained too, check him out here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/DTMYniyrDmJqV4BY/ Here's some videos of his dog interactions: https://youtube.com/shorts/s50zqB8XoTs https://youtube.com/shorts/OxRzjbUOVXw Playing in the yard: https://youtu.be/mqxHcfH5Ryc Elect Dexter https://youtube.com/shorts/yOA6KScobN0?feature=share   Dexter loves walks and exploring, loves his pool, so his trainer recommends he goes to an active home. He'd also do great with a veteran or senior who still has some pep in their step. When he's not out and about, Dexter enjoys snuggling up on the couch with his humans while watching Netflix. Age: 9 years  Weight: 55 lbs  Temperament: good with all adults, and enjoys other dogs, should be fine with older respectful kids Vetting: Neutered, up to date on vaccines,  heratworm  negative  Training: House trained, crate trained, knows sit, down, stay/wait, his name, follow, come, look, and touch.  For questions, please email. ali@doggieharmony.org To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
