Story
Tyson is a wonderful, gentle guy who came to us through surrender. He has a sweet, easygoing personality and does well in the kennel environment. He’s calm, friendly, and enjoys human interaction, handling everything with a relaxed and trusting attitude. One of the best things about him is how well he gets along with other dogs—especially his brother Scooby! The two brothers share a kennel and do beautifully together, showing polite, friendly behavior and offering comfort to one another. He would make a great companion for someone looking for a loving, social dog with a calm demeanor. 💙 Sweet • Dog‑friendly • Calm • Bonded sibling energy Tyson will be available the first week of May. Adoption fee is $300 or $500 for both Tyson and his brother Scooby when adopted together.

Story
🐾 Looking for Her Person – A Gentle Rottie with a Big Heart 🐾 This beautiful ~3-year-old Rottweiler mix (about 72 lbs) is searching for a calm, loving home where she can finally feel safe and secure. She’s a sweet, sensitive girl who may seem a little shy at first—especially around loud noises or sudden movements—but give her a little time and you’ll see her true personality shine. Once she’s in a comfortable space, she relaxes, explores, and will happily come over for affection. 💛 ✨ What makes her special: Walks nicely on a leash Friendly with people and enjoys gentle attention Loves to explore and be near her person Gets wiggly and excited when meeting other dogs (especially at a distance!) She’s currently a bit nervous in the shelter environment and tends to look to her people for reassurance—she’s the kind of dog who will form a deep, loyal bond with her adopter. 🧸 She also has the cutest habit of carrying around her stuffed duck for comfort—it’s her little security toy, and it melts hearts instantly. ⚠️ Good to know: Can be head-shy and startled by quick movements Still building confidence May guard her favorite toy around other dogs, so thoughtful introductions and management are important 🏡 Her ideal home: A patient, understanding adopter who can help her build confidence at her own pace. A quieter home would be best, where she can continue to blossom into the loving, loyal companion she’s meant to be. She doesn’t need perfection—just someone willing to go slow, offer reassurance, and love her for who she is. 💬 If you’re looking for a devoted companion with a gentle soul, she might just be your girl. She will be transported to Elgin April 4, 2026. Apply to meet her and see if you’re the safe place she’s been waiting for. 🐶💖
