Story
Tony is such a lover, we think boxer/hound mix.  He and his siblings were dumped in front of someone's house with their mother and unfortunately his mother and one sibling were hit by a car before the homeowner even knew about it and they didn't make it.  He loves to play with his siblings and is constantly running around and playing chase or keep away.  He does really love to snuggle too though.  Like most puppies he is full of energy unless he is napping.  He has puppy manners too so will need some training, while he has had some progress, he still needs work on house breaking, and basic commands.  He is great with other dogs, but hasn't met a cat, and seems fine with kids.  He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $600 To adopt Tony, email us at kakf3133@gmail.comNovember 25, 2024, 9:56 pm

Story
Meet Pearl (aka Pearly): Your Perfect Companion! Pearl is a 1- to 2-year-old mixed-breed sweetheart weighing 42 pounds. This affectionate and playful girl is ready to find her forever family where she can share her love, cuddles, and a little bit of kitchen "help"! What Makes Pearl Special Dog-Friendly: Pearl gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves playtime. She’s also great at entertaining herself with her toys when needed. Child-Approved: Pearl is amazing with children. She’s gentle and loves belly rubs—her favorite way to bond with her humans. Loving and Affectionate: Whether snuggling on the couch or following you into the kitchen to “help” clean up, Pearl wants nothing more than to be near her people. She’s a loyal companion who just loves to be close. Smart and Well-Mannered: Pearl knows several commands, including sit, down, stay, crate, and come. She takes treats gently and is eager to please, making her a joy to train. Traits We’re Working On Leash Walking: Pearl gets so excited for her walks that she tends to pull on the leash. With focus work and her love of treats, she’s making great progress. Jumping: Pearl loves to greet people at their level, but she’s learning to keep all four paws on the ground. She responds well to the “off” command, and with continued practice, she’ll perfect her hellos. Pearl’s Personality Pearl is an easy-going, cuddly, and friendly dog who fits perfectly into a loving home. She’s active and playful but knows how to relax and enjoy quiet moments with her family. She’ll happily sit in your lap, ready to soak up all the love and attention you can give. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion, Pearl might just be the perfect match for you. Apply today to give this sweet girl the forever home she deserves! Story
Hey Friends! My name is Myla and it is just the greatest pleasure to meet you! My biggest goal in life is to be friends with the entire world. To accomplish this I have been practicing my animal impressions during my time here at Kane County Animal Control. So far I have mastered bird, horse, cat, and dog of course. My next project is working on becoming your best friend. You may be wondering what the red inflammation under my eyes is. I have a condition called `cherry eye` which medically means I have a prolapsed third eyelid. This does not slow me down in my adventures, but it does require surgery. This is why my adoption fee is $150.00 instead of $200.00. If we sound like a perfect match, come down and meet me during adoption hours! I can`t wait to get to know you!

Story
Hello, citizens! I'm Batman, your new favorite furry superhero ready to join your family and save the day with love, cuddles, and endless playtime! Let me tell you a bit about myself - I'm a Year-old boxer mix with a heart of gold and a belly that's just begging for rubs. I absolutely adore cuddling on the couch with my favorite humans, and I'm not shy about showing my affection with lots of kisses. Plus, I'm a connoisseur of comfortable blankets - there's nothing better than snuggling up with a cozy blanket after a long day of crime-fighting (or playing fetch)! When it comes to entertainment, I'm a big fan of chewing on dog bones and watching TV - especially if there are other animals on the screen. Speaking of animals, I'm very friendly with people and playful with other animals, including dogs and cats. Most pets I've met have felt indifferent toward me, but I think it's just because of my high energy and excitement about meeting new friends. I'd be great with any cat or dog that wants to play and be friendly with me! Now, let's talk about a couple of things I'm still getting used to - car rides and leash walking. I used to be nervous about car rides, but now that I travel in my crate, I'm starting to calm down. And as for leash walking, well, let's just say I'm a bit of a puller, but I'm getting better with practice - especially with the help of a harness. I've learned some basic cues like "sit," and I'm crate-trained for bedtime and naps. Sometimes I'll cry to be let out if I need to go to the bathroom, but I'm mostly house-trained with only a few accidents.. I enjoy all kinds of treats, especially apples, peanut butter, and anything squeaky! Plus, I'm cool with all kinds of touch - you can pick me up like a baby. So, what do you say? Are you ready to welcome me into your home and be my partner in crime (fighting boredom and loneliness, that is)? For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians. Ask fosters@ahconnects.org about fostering Batman, while he waits for his forever home!
