You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Virginia (virginiak@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.  Stella came to us from rural Arkansas. She appears to have had at least 1 litter of pups and she is approx 2 y/o. She is very nervous & timid with new people in our home and requires slow integration with the assistance of a remote beep collar. Stella must be placed in a very experienced & special home. One that is committed to continue working with and training her. She has come so far in a few short months with patience, love, & trust but requires continued support. She lives with 3 dogs (1 big/2 little), 2 adults, and a 6 y/o child in her foster home and does great! She adores kids but they must be kind.   Approximate Birthdate:  March 2021 Adoption Fee: $175 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.     For more information please fill out an application.     CONTACT INFO The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA) Web site: tarasdream.org Adoption Information & Applications: https://tarasdream.org/adopt Upcoming Adoption Events: https://tarasdream.org/events Email: email@tarasdream.org May 29, 2023, 1:24 pm

Story
Lucy is a 7 year old mix doggie. I got her when she was 6 weeks old, and she was the runt of the litter. She had cancer in 2018, and we had to have her leg removed. She has no other health problems. Since then, she isn't the same with other dogs, sometimes she good with them, and sometimes she's not. She loves playing outside and being in water. She's good with babies and children and loves people. She is truly a sweet dog who loves to cuddle and sleep with her human. She is house trained and listens/minds really good. She knows the basic commands. She is kennel trained and often will sleep in there when the door is open. She needs to be the ONLY dog in the home.
