Story
I lost my 1st Rottie to cancer a few years back and I thought that I wanted another. I adopted Thor from Midwest Animal ResQ in June of 2024, he was 4 years old. He is neutered and UTD on vaccines. He knows basic commands, ie: sit, down, shake, etc. I have tried to work with him on leash walking, personal space boundaries, greeting new people and animals, etc. but it takes alot more time and energy than what I have. I am 60 years old and I am tired at the end of the day and he wants to go, go, go. We have 4 other rescues in our home, 2 dogs and 2 cats, he gets along well with them all. We have 5 grandchildren, ages 1 - 15 and he gets excited when they come to visit. Thor needs a home with active parents that can keep up with his energy. He is very loving and has never met a stranger, 2 or 4 legged. He loves car and boat rides. It will be hard for me to let him go, but I just can't keep up with him. I will check personal and vet references. Must have experience with Rottweilers.

Story
Meet Peggy! 🐾 At just 4 months old and about 15 pounds, Peggy is the perfect mix of playful pup and snuggly sidekick. She’s expected to grow into a wonderful medium-sized companion (around 35–45 lbs) — the ideal “not too big, not too small” family dog. Loyal. Affectionate. Close-by at all times. She loves being near her people and Peggy may take a minute to check you out, but once she decides you’re hers, she is all happily transforms into a lap puppy once playtime winds down. Her foster reports that Peggy: • Adores children • Does great with cats • Plays nicely with large dogs • Is curious, confident, and ready to explore Peggy is at that perfect puppy age where she’s ready to learn, bond deeply, and grow alongside her family. With continued guidance and training, she’s going to make an incredible lifelong companion. If you’ve been waiting for a kid-loving, cuddle-ready, medium-sized pup to join your home — Peggy might just be your girl. All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee: $225 Dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro — we do not have a shelter facility. Apply to meet Peggy here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Cardi 3 years old 77 lbs Rottweiler (best guess) Cardi is a big, goofy girl who is basically a 77-pound puppy. She enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home, snuggling up with her people, and following you around to see what you’re doing. She’s doing well with house training and settling into a home routine. Cardi gets along great with the dogs in her foster home. Cats are a little too interesting to her, so a cat-free home would be best. She knows “sit”… although sometimes she decides laying down is just as good of an answer. Cardi came to rescue after being turned out while pregnant. A neighbor stepped in to help her until rescue could take her and three of her puppies. She’s now spayed, and no more litters are in her future. All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee: $225 Our dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro. We do not have a shelter facility. Apply to adopt: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog
