Story
Meet Freya Freya is an 8-month-old female Boxer/Pit mix puppy who is smart, playful, and full of potential. She does well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with older children who can respect puppy boundaries. Freya is very intelligent and eager to learn, and she’ll do best with an adopter ready to continue training. She would benefit from a secure yard with a tall, solid (non–chain link) fence so she can safely burn off energy and explore. Freya has already had bilateral cherry eye surgery and is doing well, with no special care needed beyond routine vet care. She’s a bright, loving pup ready to grow into an amazing companion with the right family. If you are interested in meeting Freya, please fill out an application via our website at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/TRP/Dog and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. Freya's adoption fee is $250 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, spay, microchip, deworm, and cherry eye surgery on both eyes.

Story
Khaos is a 7 year old big cuddle bug, he loves people, walks, running and playing. Hes a boxer so he is hyper and needs to be excersized. He has a great personality but does have mild behavioral issues. He will still get into the trash if its out. He will eat food on the counter if you leave it out and will tear up blinds if he sees something he wants outside. He doesn't do the best with other dogs specifically male dogs. When on walks we avoid other dogs because he will start barking at them and he doesnt always click with male dogs. We do still own his mother and they haven't had issues. We have had many laughs with Khaos. We have older kids who he does great with, we recently had a baby who has started to walk and this overstimulates Khaos. He is a great dog we just no longer have the time to provide what he deserves. I want to find someone who will understand, be patient, play and love him.

Story
Pet Location: Wayside Waifs CampusMy Friends at Wayside say:- I am a graduate of Waifs with Wisdom. In this program, I learned basic commands and leash walking skills. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I`m a sweet boy who enjoys being near people for pets.- I already know some basic commands!- My previous owner said that I am house-trained!- I would do well in a variety of homes.- I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are:- I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies.- Cats are much too interesting to me, so my home will need to be cat free.- Smaller animals such as rabbits or guinea pigs are much too interesting to me, so it is recommended my home is small animal free.Hi, I’m Bubba! I’m a 3-year-old mixed breed weighing over 44 pounds, but don’t let my size fool you, I’m a total lovebug at heart. I dream of being adored in my furever home and am always on the lookout for belly scratches. I’m needy in the best way, always wanting to be near humans who will shower me with attention. I’m very social and love meeting new people once I feel comfortable. Life feels brighter when someone is paying me attention, and I thrive on affection. I’m hoping to find a family who will love me for my big heart and playful personality.I’m currently enrolled in “Waits with Wisdom,” which means I’m learning all kinds of new skills like basic commands, leash walking, and how to be my best self. My new family will even get a free 30-minute private training session to help me settle in and learn faster. I enjoy learning and feel proud when I get praise for doing something right. I love clear guidance. It helps me feel confident and happy. I’m also curious and love exploring, so walks and activities are my favorite parts of the day.If you have other dogs, I’d need to meet them first to make sure we get along, but I’m usually very friendly and love doggy friends. Once I click with my new family, I promise to be loyal, loving, and full of joy. I’m ready to share adventures, playtime, and lots of cuddles with the right people. With patience and love, I’ll be a companion you’ll treasure every day. I’m excited to find a furever home where I can thrive and be adored. Do we sound like a good match?Love, Bubba

Story
Buddy Boxer / Terrier Mix (best guess) DOB: 10/20/2024 Approx. 50 lbs Buddy is the kind of dog people say they’re looking for — friendly, house trained, and easy to have around. At about 1.5 years old, he has that great balance of playful energy and good house manners. His foster reports that Buddy has been a wonderful guest in the home and has had no accidents. Buddy loves people and quickly wins over everyone he meets. He enjoys playing with other dogs, bouncing around the yard, and then settling nearby once the fun is over. At about 50 lbs, Buddy is a great medium-large size — big enough for adventures and playtime but still easy to live with day to day. He has also lived with young children and did well, showing gentle and appropriate behavior. Buddy is an observant dog who likes to take in new situations for a moment before jumping in. Once he realizes everything is good, he relaxes quickly and joins the fun. ✔ House trained ✔ Friendly with people ✔ Enjoys other dogs ✔ Good recall and listens well ✔ Lived with children Buddy is ready for a home where he can finally settle in, be part of the family, and stick around for good. Breed mix is a best guess based on appearance. All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee: $225 Our dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro. We do not have a shelter facility. Apply to meet Buddy: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Mozzarella (or “Mozzie” for short!) is a young Boxer mix bursting with personality, curiosity, and charm. If it moves, Mozzie wants to be its friend—this social butterfly is friendly with everyone he meets and approaches life with an open heart and a wagging tail. Compared to his brothers, Mozzie is the adventurous one. He’s always ready to explore, play, and see what’s going on around him. He’s also quite the little conversationalist—Mozzie isn’t shy about using his voice to tell you exactly what he wants, whether that’s playtime, attention, or just a quick check-in with his favorite humans. Mozzarella absolutely loves the outdoors. Running, jumping, and playing with his big foster siblings are some of his favorite ways to spend the day. He’d thrive in a home that can match his playful energy and give him plenty of opportunities to stretch his legs and continue building his confidence. At the end of the day, Mozzie is a happy, affectionate pup who brings fun and life wherever he goes. If you’re looking for a playful companion with a big personality and lots to say, Mozzarella is ready to be your new best friend. Mozzarella's adoption fee is $275 and comes with age appropriate vaccines, microchip, neuter, and heartworm prevention. Story
Havarti is a young Boxer mix with a heart as soft as his favorite nap spot—your lap. This sweet boy is the definition of a gentle soul. Friendly with everyone he meets, Havarti greets the world with a wagging tail, curious eyes, and a whole lot of love to give. Out of his litter, Havarti is known as the cuddler—the one who would rather be snuggled up with his humans than causing mischief. He’s happiest when he can curl up beside you (or right on top of you) and drift off into a cozy nap. Don’t let his love of lounging fool you, though—he still has that playful puppy spirit and enjoys his moments of fun and exploration. Havarti would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of affection, gentle guidance, and, of course, lots of cuddle time. Whether you're looking for a loyal companion, a Netflix buddy, or a snuggle expert, Havarti is ready to fill that role perfectly. If you're searching for a loving, easygoing pup who will melt right into your arms and your heart, Havarti might just be your perfect match. Havarti's adoption fee is $275 and comes with age appropriate vaccines, microchip, neuter, and heartworm prevention.
