Rottweiler puppies and dogs in Ridgewood, New Jersey

Meet Oso! 🐾❤️ Oso is a 2-year-old, 56-pound Shepherd/Rottweiler mix—and behind that serious face is the sweetest, gentlest boy you could ever meet. Oso has been at a sanctuary in South Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border, since he was a tiny puppy. He arrived at just 8 weeks old with his siblings, Cowboy, Roxy, and Buddy. And sadly, the reason Oso is still waiting isn't because there is anything wrong with him. It's because the humans who promised to help him failed him. About 22 months ago, a rescue asked the sanctuary to take Oso and his three siblings into care, promising to financially support them and take them on the next transport. Then the rescue delayed. And delayed. And delayed. They never provided a dime toward their care before ultimately disappearing completely when the puppies were about five months old. Then another rescue stepped in and tagged Oso and his siblings. Everyone thought their luck had finally changed. But just six weeks later, that rescue ghosted them too. The sanctuary begged for help. Nobody stepped up. And through absolutely no fault of their own, Oso and his siblings grew up in a sanctuary instead of growing up in forever homes. Oso could have been home with his family almost two years ago. Two rescues took that opportunity away from him. Now, we're stepping in to help make sure Oso and his siblings finally get the futures they deserve. ❤️ 🐻 Meet Oso Oso may be the biggest of his litter, but don't let his size or serious expression fool you. Give this boy a little love and he transforms into the gentlest giant. ❤️ He's sweet, affectionate, playful, and incredibly food motivated. He loves playing with his kennel mate and would really enjoy having another dog in his forever home. Oso would also benefit from regular opportunities to socialize and play with other dogs through dog parks or doggy daycare if he doesn't have a canine sibling. 👧 Older Children Oso would do best with older children because of his size and playful nature. He's a sweet boy, but he's a big boy who can get excited during playtime! 🧸 Toy Lover Oso LOVES toys. And apparently, Oso also believes toys are meant to be thoroughly tested for durability. Many toys don't last very long around him! 😂 A future Oso family may want to invest in some seriously tough toys—or simply accept that toy shopping is going to become a regular hobby. 💦 Oso Loves Water! If your idea of a perfect day involves splashing around, Oso wants in! He loves water and would absolutely enjoy having a pool in the backyard or taking trips to dog-friendly bodies of water where he can play. A family that enjoys outdoor adventures would be a fantastic match for him. 💃 The Oso Tap Dance Oso has a very special talent. He tap dances when it's time to eat. This big boy gets SO excited about food and treats that his feet apparently can't stay still! You may want to invest in a pair of tap shoes because Oso is ready to put on a show every time dinner is served. 😂🐾 And once his meal is finished, don't be surprised if he has another little performance planned... If Oso is still hungry, he'll sometimes cross his paws as if to politely say: “Excuse me. I believe there has been a small error. I appear to still be hungry.” 😂 It's possibly the most adorable and proper complaint you'll ever receive. 🏡 House Manners Oso is crate-trained and mostly house-trained, giving him a great foundation as he transitions into his forever home. He's ready for a family who will continue helping him learn and settle into all the wonderful things that come with being someone's beloved dog. ❤️ Oso's Perfect Home Oso would love a family who can give him: • A canine sibling or regular opportunities to play with other dogs • Plenty of toys • Lots of affection and cuddles • A yard where he can run and play • Opportunities to enjoy water • Walks, adventures, and outdoor enrichment • A comfortable place to relax after playtime • Older children who understand how to interact respectfully with a big dog • And, naturally, plenty of treats! 🦴 • Oso would thrive with a family that wants a dog who can be playful and silly one minute, then curl up and be a gentle giant the next. 🐾 The Sweetest Boy Has Been Waiting Oso has spent almost his entire life waiting for someone to choose him. He didn't deserve to grow up in a sanctuary. He didn't deserve to be forgotten by two rescues. And he certainly didn't deserve to miss out on almost two years of having a family of his own. But somehow, through all of it, Oso remained the same sweet boy. The same gentle giant. The same playful pup who gets ridiculously excited about dinner. The same boy who loves toys, water, other dogs, and being around people. He's still waiting. And now it's finally his turn. If you're looking for a big, sweet, playful Shepherd/Rottweiler mix with a gentle heart, a love of water, an impressive toy-destroying ability, and the cutest little tap-dance routine at mealtime, Oso may be your guy. ❤️ He has waited long enough for his forever. It's time for Oso to have a family of his own. 🐾❤️ And please—someone get this boy some tap shoes. 💃🐾 PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING: The next step to adopt is to fill out an application on our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This doggy is spayed/neutered, heart worm positive, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. Snow is anything but icy! The All-Terrain Sweetheart with a Spark!  Meet Snow, a vibrant and affectionate 4½-year-old Rottweiler mix weighing about 85–90 pounds. This sweet girl has a true zest for life and a heart full of love. She's sugar with a little spice and oh so nice. The perfect mix of "adventure buddy" and "couch potato." Whether it’s a rainy hike or a sunny jog, this girl is all-weather, all-terrain, and always ready to go! She’s even mastering the treadmill for those extra chilly days.    When not outside exploring, she loves to be close to her people. Any chance for extra pets, cuddles, or toy time. But when the sun goes down? Snow is all about the "self-care." She loves wearing her favorite jammies, getting a little lotion, and settling in for a calm night.    Why you’ll love her:  • Pro Student: She is incredibly eager to learn and highly food motivated (even for frozen green beans!). She already knows Sit, Down, Paw, Off, Wave, Spin, and even Get Dressed (putting on her harness). Working on choice games and combo sets.  • Walking Partner: She’s well-behaved on a leash with her head harness and is the perfect size for a jogging companion.  • House Manners: She’s crate-trained, calm indoors, has impeccable potty behaviors, and even working on her dental hygiene!    Her perfect match: Snow is a thinker who thrives on learning games as well as a cuddlebug who thrives on affection. She’s currently practicing her social skills at doggy daycare and can be selective with dog friends. She needs a human, or two, who will continue her training journey. While she gets excited to meet new people, she does best with a slow, respectful introduction to feel her best. Could you be the one to open your home and heart to Snow? She’s ready for her second chance and will reward you with endless love and loyalty. To adopt or foster, please apply at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application from a laptop or computer. Not able to adopt right now? You can still make a difference in Snow’s life! Fostering is another wonderful way to help, or you can donate toward Snow’s care while she waits for her forever family. 🤎🐾 MEET LULU — 61 LBS OF BRINDLE BEAUTY, ZOOMIES & UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! 🐾🤎 ✨ Big girl. Bigger heart. Absolutely NO idea how big she is! 😂💕 Meet Lulu, a gorgeous 10–12-month-old brindle girl who we believe may be a Boxer/Great Dane mix, although her exact breed is unknown. At 61 lbs, she's already a big, beautiful girl and we believe she's close to her full-grown size. But here's the thing about Lulu… she thinks she's about 10 pounds! 🤣 💔 FROM SURVIVAL TO SECOND CHANCES Lulu and her brother, Canelo, were found wandering the streets near the Texas/Mexico border. They were painfully skinny, hungry, and covered in fleas and ticks. Thankfully, a kind Good Samaritan couldn't stand to see them suffer and stepped in to help. Today, Lulu and Canelo are safe at a sanctuary in South Texas, and our rescue is stepping up to help find them the loving forever homes they deserve. ❤️ Now it's Lulu's turn to find her people! 🐕 SHE LOVES OTHER DOGS! Lulu absolutely LOVES her canine friends and would do best in a home with another friendly, playful dog. She's an active girl who thrives on having a buddy to run, play, and share adventures with. And when we say run, we mean RUN! 😂 🏃‍♀️ Run around the property. 🐎 Gallop like a little horse. 💨 Get the cutest zoomies imaginable. 🔄 Do a few more laps for good measure! Lulu has energy to spare and is always ready for another round of fun. One of her favorite playmates at the sanctuary is a 30-pound dog. Lulu will come charging over, ready to play, only for her smaller friend to stop her in her tracks. And what does Lulu do? She rolls straight onto her back and shows her belly! 🥹 Despite her size, Lulu is incredibly submissive, gentle, and sweet with her dog friends. She has such a soft heart and a wonderfully goofy personality. 💕 A GENTLE GIANT WITH A LOT OF LOVE TO GIVE Lulu is the kind of dog who could make a wonderful companion for the right family. With her gentle nature, she may even have the potential to become a therapy dog with appropriate training, exercise, and assessment. She does need some continued training, though! Lulu sometimes jumps up on people because she's excited and doesn't realize just how BIG she is. Basic manners and polite greetings will be important for this lovable giant. 🍗 A LITTLE FOODIE WITH A BIG APPETITE! Lulu loves her food… perhaps a little TOO much! 😂 She eats from a slow feeder to help slow things down, and she may be tempted to investigate anything left on the counter. Counter-surfing could become her next hobby if her humans aren't careful! She'll need a family willing to manage food safely, maintain a consistent feeding routine, and continue teaching her those all-important manners. 🏡 THE GOOD NEWS? SHE'S ALREADY HOUSE-TRAINED AND CRATE-TRAINED! That's right! Lulu has a wonderful head start on settling into family life. 🐱 She's seen cats from a distance but hasn't met them up close. Given her sweet, gentle personality, we think she may do well with cats, but a careful introduction and proper supervision would be essential. 💦 She LOVES hopping around in the doggy pool to cool off before heading straight back to her favorite activity… Galloping around! 🛋️ And after all that running? Lulu believes she deserves a spot on the couch, preferably snuggled right up against her humans. In her mind, she's still a tiny lap dog. Who are we to argue? 🤎 🌟 LULU'S DREAM FOREVER HOME We're looking for a family who will: • 🐕 Have another friendly, playful dog for her to enjoy. • 🏃‍♀️ Provide plenty of exercise, running, adventures, and opportunities to burn off her energy. • 🎓 Continue her training and help her learn good manners. • 🍽️ Manage her food and help her develop better mealtime habits. • ❤️ Understand that beneath her big body is a gentle, goofy, affectionate girl. • 🛋️ Make room on the couch for a 61-pound cuddle bug who thinks she's pocket-sized! Lulu has already experienced hunger, hardship, and life on the streets. Now she deserves a life filled with full food bowls, fun adventures, canine friendships, cozy naps, and a family who will love her for the rest of her life. She's goofy. She's gorgeous. She's gentle. She's a little bit of a handful in the most lovable way. And she's ready for her happily ever after. 🥹🤎 Could Lulu be the missing piece of your family? Please consider giving this beautiful girl the forever home she's been waiting for. 🐾💕 PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING: The next step to adopt is to fill out an application on our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org LuLu is spayed, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
