This big beautiful girl cost someone $3500 2 years ago. A year ago she found herself abandoned and living on a chain a couple hundred feet behind the home she used to live inside of. The family she used to be a part of had moved away. Thankfully the property owner had been caring for her until he could find the perfect place for her. She is now safe and comfortable at the Funny Farm and back inside where it’s warm and she gets to play and have people love on her throughout the day. She is 62 pounds of pure love. She loves everyone she meets and is a little submissive. She loves other dogs of all sizes as well. She has a moderate prey drive so cats would probably not be a great idea although we are told she used to live with 2. She absolutely loves toys, especially this giant donut and she loves to go for rides. She does great off leash and has excellent recall. She is the typical Rottie and is a slob with her water and food and has no idea how big she is because she loves to sit in your lap. She knows sit but I believe from living on a chain for a year, she does jump a little but she corrects fairly easy. This girl has tons of potential in an experienced home. She needs lots of exercise and consistent training. From Louis "I love car rides, hikes, trips to Home Depot (I love to say hello to everyone inside), strolling downtown and hanging around the house." I love my foster family - two small dogs and three cats! I am lovely on a leash and the perfect gentleman in the house. I am also crate trained and I love to communicate with my foster family. I am a senior dog about 7-8 years old. I do have a minor medical condition due to being neutered late in life and I arrived with an untreated bladder infection (which now has been taken care of). I wear a belly band because of the bladder condition and I am very good about it. My foster mother says I always look handsome. Lady is a spayed female beautiful Rottweiler, born on 12/30/2020. She is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. Lady is the biggest sweetheart and adores attention. She flops on her back for tummy rubs and loves every moment of attention she receives. Lady was a breeding female until she was hit by a car. The breeders were not interested in spending any money on her recovery since she probably wasn’t going to be able to continue to make them money. So our small, grass roots Humane Society took her under our wing. She lived at the vets for quite some time and now is at a foster home. She’s happy and thriving, and again, the sweetest ever without any aggression at all. She has a small hitch in her giddy-up, which would probably benefit from dog glucosamine and might require other medication to keep her comfortable as she ages. We can send a video so a potential adopter can see how she gets around. She could really use a home where she is an inside dog who gets to live the life of Riley.
