This sweet girl has a true zest for life and a heart full of love. She's sugar with a little spice and oh so nice. The perfect mix of "adventure buddy" and "couch potato." Whether it’s a rainy hike or a sunny jog, this girl is all-weather, all-terrain, and always ready to go! She’s even mastering the treadmill for those extra chilly days.    When not outside exploring, she loves to be close to her people. Any chance for extra pets, cuddles, or toy time. But when the sun goes down? Snow is all about the "self-care." She loves wearing her favorite jammies, getting a little lotion, and settling in for a calm night.    Why you’ll love her:  • Pro Student: She is incredibly eager to learn and highly food motivated (even for frozen green beans!). She already knows Sit, Down, Paw, Off, Wave, Spin, and even Get Dressed (putting on her harness). Working on choice games and combo sets.  • Walking Partner: She’s well-behaved on a leash with her head harness and is the perfect size for a jogging companion.  • House Manners: She’s crate-trained, calm indoors, has impeccable potty behaviors, and even working on her dental hygiene!    Her perfect match: Snow is a thinker who thrives on learning games as well as a cuddlebug who thrives on affection. She’s currently practicing her social skills at doggy daycare and can be selective with dog friends. She needs a human, or two, who will continue her training journey. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dixby (TX) is a male Shepherd mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Dixby is 8 years old at the time of intake in Nov 2022.  Dixby is good with people and other dogs.  This senior boy was found living in the dirt abandoned by his owners.  He had little chance of survival on his own but we've rescued him and got him the care he needs to start his new life.  He  is looking for a family that will cherish him and provide him all the comforts of a happy life. He dreams of soft beds and love. This boy is a DOLL!! Dixby is an adorable ball of energetic love! Though his past he endured neglect and heartbreak, he is a happy energetic pup! He enjoys head petting, love and playing in the yard and going on walks. His favorite thing is chewing on his Benebone and rolling around the rug! He also likes to cuddle on the couch, napping on your  lap or having his paws touching you, he loves to be with his family. Because he loves to play a fenced in yard would be best for him. He's smart too and learning his commands, he is mastering sit, wait, come and off. Arlo is somehow both incredibly smart and incredibly dumb at the same time, which makes him incredibly entertaining 🤣. He is amazing with other dogs, and hasn't lived with cats but has seen them indoors and has shown no indication of prey drive. His previous owner trained him very well - he knows sit, shake, lay down, stay, touch, and (sometimes, if there are treats) spin. He listens well to a confident handler, and although he does sometimes whine in excitement, he hardly ever barks. He's still a 1.5 year old puppy, and can sometimes mouth with moderate pressure, so young kids might not be ideal, but he will happily take a toy or a bone in place of your hands 🙈. If you're looking to rescue a young rottie, Arlo is your boy! He's even the perfect city size at just under 70 pounds.
