Story
Rottweiler Mix 18 months old Female 60 pounds Kids · 6+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No I’ve been flying high but feeling a little lost. I might have gotten off course a little because I can’t quite see love through all these clouds. That is my destination: a loving forever family, caring people who want a sweetie like me in their life. I don’t think it should be too hard to come by, but I am still trying to navigate my way there. Sure, I can be a little timid when I first meet new people, but I am up into a sweet and playful girl, so I won’t mind respectful kids 6+ as co-pilots. I love other dogs and am used to sharing my home with various sized pups, but kitty cats won’t fly. My crate training is also going very well, and I am housebroken so I know how to keep my cockpit spotless! Maybe you can help me navigate out of this fog of uncertainty and find it in your heart to get me back on a trajectory of love! My adoption fee is $240 and includes spay microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance for Oregon residents, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Meet Robert, the calm and easygoing dog who’s ready to find his forever home! At 6 years old, Robert may be a grown-up, but you’d never know it from his adorable puppy face—he never quite grew out of that youthful charm. He’s the perfect mix of laid-back and friendly, making him an ideal companion for anyone looking for a chill buddy to share life with. Robert is a breeze to walk on a leash, needing only slight corrections when passing other dogs. He’s friendly and always eager to greet new people, though he’s more of a relaxed companion who values his space. While Robert isn’t overly affectionate, he’s loyal and will be there when you need a quiet, comforting presence. He’d thrive in a calm family home, especially one with older kids who respect his need for personal space. Robert gets along well with female dogs, whether they’re dominant or laid-back, and would do best with a low-energy buddy who can match his mellow vibe. Robert isn’t a fan of cats, so a feline-free home is a must. Whether you live in a house or an apartment, Robert will adapt beautifully. He’s perfect for someone who wants a companion that’s content to hang out, enjoy some quiet time, and occasionally give you that adorable puppy-eyed look that will melt your heart. Give Robert the chance to show you how wonderful a loyal, easygoing friend can be! Story
Teddy is a lovable 2-year-old and 60 lbs Rottweiler-Lab mix looking for his forever home. With his striking two different colored eyes and gentle nature, he’s sure to capture your heart. Fall in LOVE with Teddy here: https://youtu.be/5sjN6jObb3Y?feature=shared Teddy is treat-motivated and responds well to commands, making him a quick learner. He’s a sensitive soul who enjoys his independence, but when he’s comfortable, he loves to approach people for gentle kisses. He’s great with kids and won’t jump up on anyone, making him the perfect companion for a calm family household with older kids. He would thrive in a home with a dog-savvy cat and could also live with a dog that enjoys playtime but can also relax and hang out. Teddy’s calm demeanor and good leash skills make him a great fit for apartment living, too. While he can be a bit shy around other dogs, he shows a calm and patient demeanor, preferring to take things slow and steady. With some gentle encouragement, he’s ready to build new friendships. Teddy would love a home where he can relax, enjoy leisurely walks, and maybe even hang out in the yard. He’s not just looking for a place to stay; he’s searching for a family to bond with. If you're ready to give Teddy the love and patience he needs, he’s ready to become your loyal friend for life! Story
Howdy partners! I'm Rocky, the sweetest meatball in the Wild West! I started my journey at Animal Aid after my previous family had a baby who was very allergic to me. The transition has been a little... Rocky ... but I've proven myself to be the most loving, goofy partner in crime to the new people in my life. My nervousness around strangers can easily be worked through with patience, yummy treats, and a good head scratch. Don't be surprised if I sound the alarm when danger approaches our home! I haven't spent a ton of time with other dogs, but I never seem to mind being in the same space as them. I ignore them and mind my own business. I'm sure I could get along with a canine sibling if introduced slowly. I've shown an interest in chasing the neighborhood cats outside, so a cat free home is probably ideal. Older, respectful kids are also totally in my social wheelhouse. I'm looking for a home with either a fenced yard or a very quiet neighborhood. I'm still working through my fear of all the sights and sounds that I encounter on leashed walks outside of my comfort zone. A personal yard to zoom and play would be perfect for burning energy and those pesky extra pounds that I'm trying to lose. My foster parents say that I'm a total dream when left alone at home. No separation anxiety here! As long as I have a loving family to cuddle with at the end of the day, I'm putty in your hands. I'm in a foster home so please fill out an adoption application at www.animalaidpdx.org to meet me!My estimated birthdate is 9/1/2020. 80lbs.

Story
Zoe is a big, lean girl and is about 70 pounds. She will be 3 years old this August. She came to me via a shelter in LA, where she had been for 400 days, more than half of her young life. She was surrendered to them when she was 6 months old. She is a lover and very sweet, and thinks she’s a lap dog. It may take her a short time for her to warm up, as she is quite shy and will be skittish with new people. She seems to warm up to women more quickly than men. She is still a little hesistant of new surrounds but she is OPEN to it. It takes her a little time but she does warm up to new surroundings and new people. She got to meet a new dog today and although she was a little weary in the beginning, she did want to investigate more after a few minutes and she did great! Just imagine being stuck in the same place for your whole life and suddenly being thrown into a new gigantic environment. It is super stressful. I'd say Zoe Bear is killin it! She loves her little ducky and doing zoomies in the yard. She walks pretty well on a leash and has been working with our lovely trainer Shannon at DoggyTech to master it! She is a rough play-er so being in a home with dogs her size would be best. She is a super lover so once she gets used to you, she will lick you to pieces! She likes men, but again, it might take her a minute to get used to them. She is potty trained, vaccinated, and ready to start her furever!

Just like the classic debate- Left Twix versus Right Twix... both sides together ARE THE BEST!!! I am the same way, I am sweet on one side and salty on the other- together we are perfect! I have a tale to tell, however, none of it matters anymore because I am here right now to tell you- the best is yet to come! I am a big love bug, and although I can be nervous at first- I settle in quickly to be just a big couch potato! I am good with other dogs and would love to have a friend for life in my forever home. I am good with calm older dogs, not much for puppy energy all.the.time... :) I love kids, and would be great with school aged/teenagers (and not many others LIKE teenagers so I can be their buddy :) and would be good in a calmer/quieter home. I want so much to please my family and will look to you for love and attention. I also need a strong leadership family- I have tried to take over control in my first adoptive home and it was not appreciated. SO, you need to be my boss, it's not hard- just let me know you are someone I can trust to keep me safe and take EXCELLENT care of me- with love and more love and I will LET you be in control. Simple as that :) I am a big boy, about 75#, with GORGEOUS colors and markings. I will melt your heart when you look into my amber eyes and into my sweet soul. So don't hesitate, ADOPT ME!! Hi, I'm Kesha! I am a classy Rottweiler looking for my forever family! Now let me tell you a little about myself.... I was found out on the streets, skinny and sad with these HUGE marks all around my muzzle :( It is obvious to the rescuers that I had been bound around my mouth/muzzle for an extended point of time..... no words can express how sad and heartbroken this makes my rescue peeps feel, cause I am the BESTEST girl! Loving and smart and GREAT with EVERYONE I meet!! I have puppy-dog brown eyes that'll absolutely pull at your heart strings, so careful when I look up at you! I have the ability to melt you into jelly, so get ready to make me your NEWEST family member!! My rescue peeps will be very picky about my forever family, so get ready for the grilling :) BUT I AM SO SO WORTH IT. I have a LOVE for food that exceeds all others. I have been internally starving so long because my pancreas wasn't producing the enzymes my body needs to digest and use the nutrients in the foods I was eating........... Sooooo, I am starving and the time and no one better come into my food space (other dogs). We have had no problems at the rescue since she is kenneled to eat. Kesha has had a really horrible start to her life, lets all get together and make sure she gets the BEST NEXT CHAPTER!!! ADOPT.......>DON'T SHOP!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Meet Caesar! This gentle 4-year-old and 72-pound boxer boy is ready to steal your heart with his sweet demeanor and mellow energy. My favorite thing about Caesar is the kisses he gives you and he will give lots of them. When first meeting if you crouch down low and baby talk him he will literally melt into a gushy lover boy and start wagging his tail. His face becomes the most expressive and his head tilts when you talk to him like he’s having the conversation with you. The boy is a gentle boy that is cautious to not knock you over but he does love to stand up and give you BIG hugs. If you stop giving him love he will affectionately paw your hand to say, Hey, I still want more!” This week Caesar’s foster took him to the Houston dog show where he met many new dogs and kids with the best manners! Caesar is a whiz when it comes to meeting new dogs, no matter their size or gender. Caesar is a medium-energy boy who knows how to read other dogs' cues to play or be left alone. Caesar transitions smoothly into new homes and quickly adapts to routines and rules. He respects corrections from other dogs and coexists peacefully with them, showing his adaptable nature. Caesar has made tremendous progress with crate training. He willingly enters his crate on command and has learned to communicate his needs effectively. Caesar is vocal only when he needs to go potty and politely requests to be let out of his crate. Caesar thrives in a calm environment and enjoys exploring his surroundings before settling down for a nap. He's content spending time in his crate or freely roaming the apartment, showing excellent behavior in both settings. This sweet boy sleeps through the night in his crate without any issues. While Caesar can be timid around loud noises and cars, he's been improving with consistent encouragement and support. He benefits from a confident handler who can guide him through these challenges. On walks, he may startle at sudden noises or movements but responds well to verbal corrections. He works every day building up his confidence. We think his best home would be in a suburban neighborhood or in a rural setting. This boy is likely not going to be a downtown high rise city boy! This smooshy-faced sweetheart gets along famously with dogs of all sizes and loves being part of doggie play groups. He's friendly, submissive, and adores human attention. Caesar is looking for a loving home where he can continue to build his confidence and enjoy the companionship of a caring family. Could Caesar be the loyal and loving companion you've been searching for? He will be ready to smother you in kisses! Story
Marian is a 1-year-old black and white pittie mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love! 💖 Whether it’s long walks on the beach, hiking, or just splashing around in the sprinkler, Marian is ready to be your partner in all things fun and adventurous! Marian is an incredibly good girl who gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, dogs, and even chickens! She loves watching the chickens throughout the day and being gentle with everyone around her. Marian is quiet and peaceful, enjoying tranquility but also loving playtime, especially with kids. Her foster family says she’s a darling, looking for her forever family to share love and joy with. Marian dreams of a family with kids who want to play and a yard where she can run and explore. She enjoys pack walks with her seven foster mates and does great with leash greetings in the yard. Marian is working on her crate training and loves to tuck herself into her crate with her toys or curl up for a rest. She gets along famously with all the dogs in her foster home, especially the Chihuahua! While she needs a bit of leash work, Marian corrects easily and loves learning new things. When it comes to cats, Marian had a little interest in our resident cat at first, but once he jumped up into the cat tree, she let it go. At home, she has no interest in the cats and even gets bullied by a new one without reacting. 🐾 Marian is still a young pup, so she needs a family ready to commit to training, socialization, and all the fun (and chaos) that comes with puppyhood. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. Marian is a quick learner eager to master new skills every day. Her intelligence and willingness to please make her a joy to train. She’s perfect for walks, hikes, and showing off around the neighbourhood. Marian is a star in the making! 🌟 Ready to make memories and share endless adventures? Adopt Marian and embark on a journey filled with fun, love, and joy! 🐾💕 https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66a290a863fe2b6f240eaec6 Please email elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations.
