Meet Norte Foster notes: My foster mom calls me "Goose" because she says Im "gonna be the best wingman!" and that im "a silly goose!" I am shy but curious, and still discovering the world. I warm up quickly especially to woman and kiddos, but men are cool too just takes a few more minutes. I love shredding my stuffed toys, chewing bones and chasing tennis balls. I love to explore, a lot! Especially when I smell something interesting I will follow my nose. I know my name(Goose), come (almost always), sit, wait, down, off, I'm learning leave it, but I can be stubborn, I know how to heel & am great on a leash. Im crate trained but again can be stubborn about going to sleep if im in the mood to play. All dogs are my friends, and Im quiet and calm when approaching while respecting their space and response. I love cats too, but maybe too much, they dont like playing chase but I sure do. So I probably shouldn't live with most cats, however a very dog friendly savvy cat might be ok. My prey drive is pretty keen and I just wanna meet everything unfortunately that come across scary when you're a cat, chicken, rabbit, etc. I have not shown any food aggression, or any kind of resource guarding. My foster brother and sister both enjoy playing chase and running with me, so i think id like to live with another dog that i can play with and/or an active human. However after I run it out and burn off some of that puppy energy I love snuggling up on the couch with my people   an 11-month-old, 65lb Rottweiler mix with the sweetest baby face, kind eyes, and a gentle soul that should be worrying about toys and naps… not losing his life Norte is just a puppy! A little shy, a little unsure, but so incredibly cute, soft, and sweet. He has that kind of innocence that makes you want to protect him instantly. You can see how badly he wants to connect, he just needs someone to show him the world isn’t scary. Once he starts to warm up, Norte becomes playful, affectionate, and curious about life. He allows all over petting, did great off leash with a female dog, and did well on leash with a male dog (unfortunately the leash itself makes him nervous). With a little confidence building, patience, and basic obedience training, Norte is going to grow into the absolute best version of himself. He’s a sensitive baby with so much potential. ##2661081##

Willow is the kind of dog who seems happiest when life is simple. A comfy place to relax, a few snackies, her people nearby, and a predictable routine she can count on. That's Willow. Willow is estimated to be around 4 years old, weighs 78 lbs, and looks very much like a Rottweiler/Lab mix, though rescue rules apply and breed and age are simply our best guess. What we know for certain is that she is a gentle, easygoing family dog who has already proven herself to be a wonderful house companion. Her foster shared that she has a wonderfully calm, gentle relationship with both. She is house trained, crate trained, has excellent house manners, and has settled beautifully into family life. The best version of Willow is the one her foster sees every day- relaxed, comfortable, and happy to simply be part of the household- tea parties included. She also happens to know sit and shake, and she is very willing to show off those skills when snackies are involved. Willow appreciates the finer things in life, and treats definitely rank high on that list. Willow can be a bit shy when in new environments, even so, she remains easy to handle and showed us that she is more of a thoughtful, low-key dog than a social butterfly. She met new dog including a teeny-tiny small dog and our house cat appropriately and generally preferred minding her own business over seeking interaction or being pushy at all. Willow would likely be happiest in a home that appreciates her calm nature and allows her a little time to settle into new situations. Once she feels safe and secure, she's the kind of dog who simply wants to be part of the family. With a name like Doris is it any surprise to hear that she is a soft presence that can quietly change the entire mood of a room just by being in it. Soft eyes, gentle presence, a little shy smile, and suddenly everyone is talking quieter and moving slower without even realizing it. She is estimated to be a little over a year old, weighs 63 lbs, and appears to be a Rottweiler mix, though rescue rules apply and breed and age are simply our best guess. What we do know for certain is that Doris is an incredibly tenderhearted girl with a deeply loving nature. New environments can make her nervous at first and she tends to approach the world with a softer, more submissive personality. During a recent visit with us away from her foster home we could see what he meant but more than anything, despite her uncertainty, she continued choosing connection over and over again. One of the sweetest moments is when she slowly relaxes to roll onto her back for belly rubs, looking up with those warm eyes full of trust and love. Lots of awwwww’s were said with her. She walks beautifully on leash, has very nice house manners, and overall comes across as a naturally gentle dog. While she may need a little time to decompress in a brand new environment, once she feels safe her affectionate personality really starts to bloom. Her foster shared that she is playful at home and that she plays with a variety of dogs, including different sizes and and different personalities. Of the new dogs she met during a recent playgroups, she seemed to enjoy the calmer, respectful dogs and appeared more comfortable around smaller dogs during testing. Pushier dogs can make her feel insecure, so she would likely do best with canine companions who respect boundaries and will allow friendship to build naturally instead of overwhelming her right away. Doris was also introduced to our house cat and was curious but very respectful. She mostly followed the cat around calmly and sniffed, so while we would still recommend slow introductions and continued supervision, she showed encouraging signs for a home with a calm, dog-savvy cat. We think Doris would thrive with adopters who understand that not every dog arrives loudly confident right away. Some dogs bloom slowly and quietly, and honestly, there is something incredibly special about watching a dog soften, lean into affection, and realize she is safe with you. From the moment you meet Dinah, there is a sense of comfort and calm there. It’s almost like she makes you slow down and smile without even realizing it. If her soft eyes don’t pull you in the way she gently melts at your feet for a moment of love will absolutely get you. At a little over a year old and 63 lbs, this beautiful Rottweiler/Shepherd mix (best guess, of course) is still discovering the world, and every day her playful, affectionate personality grows. We spent an afternoon with her outside of her foster home and she was just a whole bunch of gentle sweetness. We let her take it slow and it didnt take much time at all before she was meeting new people, rolingl over to show her belly, and gently taking treats. The cutest thing was when the belly rubs stopped, Dinah would quietly scoot herself back closer asking for more. It was one of those tiny little moments that says everything about who she really is. Dinah is very people-oriented despite her shyness. More than anything, she seems to crave soft affection, patient reassurance, and gentle connection. She takes comfort in calm voices and kind handling and really appears to blossom when she realizes nobody expects anything from her except simply being herself. She has a wonderfully soft mouth when taking treats and overall comes across as an incredibly sensitive, thoughtful dog. With other dogs, Dinah initially needed a little time to settle in and trust the situation, but once she relaxed she showed very appropriate social skills and gentle communication. Pushy dogs can overwhelm her, though she gives fair, controlled corrections when needed and then quickly moves on. She would likely do best with respectful, socially savvy dogs, especially calm or playful medium to large dogs who won’t crowd her. Her foster shared that once comfortable at home she actually enjoys rough-and-tumble style play, which feels very believable for a young dog finally letting her guard down. Dinah is not recommended for homes with cats or very small dogs, and because fast movement and busy environments initially can make her feel overwhelmed, we think she would likely thrive most in a calmer home with older kids or adults who understand shy dogs and the beauty of letting trust build slowly. The thing about Dinah is that she is not difficult, dramatic, or demanding. She is simply sensitive. She notices tone, energy, movement, and intention in a deep way. Dogs like Dinah often form incredibly strong bonds with the people who give them patience and safety because once they trust you, they truly love with their whole heart. Strong, smart, a little silly, and very enthusiastic about a game of fetch… this is Ohlee! She has a cool,calm confidence but still lights up when the fun begins. A Rottweiler with a playful side, a friendly nature and a big ol’ heart, how could anyone resist? Want to see this fetch-loving beauty in action? She appears to be a Rottweiler through and through, just a slightly more petite version of the classic look. As always with rescue, breed and birthday are our best guess. During her assessment, Ohlee made an impression right away. She greeted people with friendly curiosity and has a relaxed confidence that makes everyone smile and makes her easy company. When it was time to show-off what she knows, she showed that she has great basic leash skills and is happy to engage with her handler. Smart girl energy all the way. And then there’s the fetch. Ohlee absolutely understands the assignment. Toss the ball and she’s off with joyful purpose, bringing it right back with a gentle mouth and zero toy possessiveness. It’s the kind of easy, cooperative play that makes backyard time extra fun. With other dogs, Ohlee was an absolute star. Calm, confident, friendly… and also perfectly content doing her own thing. She greeted every dog politely and then often wandered off to sniff the yard like a happy little explorer. She initiated play a couple of times, but she seems more like a “short play session and then back to sniffing” kind of girl. Overall she gives off that wonderful medium-to-low energy vibe that makes her easy company for people and dogs. Ohlee is fostered in a loving home with a wide variety of dogs and her foster family praises her for being house and crate trained with great house manners. She is calm, respectful, and learns quickly. Ohlee has shown that living with cats isn’t the right match for her, so she’ll need a feline-free home moving forward. Bear is a 4 year old Doberman Labrador mix. Up to date on his shots, he’s chipped as well as neutered. No medical issues. He’s a very sweet boy, great with other dogs, kids, and loves all people. He needs a home with a big backyard and a lot of space to run. He has a prey drive so no small animals - he will chase squirrels, skunks, possums etc and bark at deer and livestock. He is good with my cats but I would introduce him to new cats gradually and with caution. He doesn’t do well by himself so ideally he should go to a home with at least one other dog or someone who is home most of the time. He loves love and will cuddle with you all day if you let him. He knows quite a few commands and I’ve been working with him on learning tricks. His favorite game is tug o war but he doesn’t like playing it with other dogs, he loves to wrestle with other dogs though and always has a blast at dog parks. He’s good on a leash and loves going for car rides.
