Thank you for taking the time to read about Ruben! He requires an EXPERIENCED and PATIENT dog owner. He is very goofy, loving, affectionate, and curious. He will always be right by your side. Gets along well with other dogs and needs to have slow, calm introductions, as he doesnt understand personal space. He has lots of energy and loves to play, but doesnt know when to quit. He is very smart, and knows lots of commands but is stubborn and doesnt always listen. He hates the vet so must be heavily medicated before he takes a visit. IMPORTANT - he is reactive when leash walking and therefore needs a home with a lot of land so that he doesnt need to be walked. He is NOT a dog to take on adventures (camping, hiking, etc) as he will lunge at anything that gets too close to him. He resource guards food and sometimes toys. There must be no small children in the home (younger than 15 years old) as he doesnt understand how big he is. He has absolutely NEVER bit anyone.

Coffee is a beautiful rottweiler who was at risk of getting shot after being dumped on a rural property. She was heartworm positive but has been treated for it. She has stubby tail. She has been good with male and female dogs medium to large but has not been around small dogs or cats. She is very very friendly with people. She walks well on the leash. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Queen is a social butterfly and loves all people. She just turned 6 but has hip dysplasia and she needs a mellow one story home where she can relax and enjoy the remainder of her retirement years. I offered to foster Queen so she would not be euthanized and her family would not be evicted. She still has a successful prey drive so no small animals including small dogs. Bigger dogs are no problem. When it was time to show-off what she knows, she showed that she has great basic leash skills and is happy to engage with her handler. Smart girl energy all the way. And then there’s the fetch. Ohlee absolutely understands the assignment. Toss the ball and she’s off with joyful purpose, bringing it right back with a gentle mouth and zero toy possessiveness. It’s the kind of easy, cooperative play that makes backyard time extra fun. With other dogs, Ohlee was an absolute star. Calm, confident, friendly… and also perfectly content doing her own thing. She greeted every dog politely and then often wandered off to sniff the yard like a happy little explorer. She initiated play a couple of times, but she seems more like a “short play session and then back to sniffing” kind of girl. Overall she gives off that wonderful medium-to-low energy vibe that makes her easy company for people and dogs. Ohlee is fostered in a loving home with a wide variety of dogs and her foster family praises her for being house and crate trained with great house manners. She is calm, respectful, and learns quickly. Ohlee has shown that living with cats isn’t the right match for her, so she’ll need a feline-free home moving forward. STORMI is one of 7 babies that were left in dire straits when the mom's owner abandoned them. They are a combination of Boxer, Staffy, Lab and Cane Corso. The woman who has rescued them is about to get kicked out of her apartment because this puts her WAY over the limit but she's managed to get them their puppy shots and wormer and fed them even though it's straining her budget. She found a home for two of the pups but this little cutie and three sisters and a brother are desperate to find new homes. Spays and neuters will be included in their adoption fee. They are somewhat paper trained but will need potty training, leash training, etc. They love people and get excited to see new people. They are chewers as most pups are so learning to be crated when left alone would be to everyone's benefit.
