Story
Her name is Margo and if somehow she doesn’t immediately grab your whole heart and make you fall in love we need to know what you’re secret is because she did it to us. Seriously, she is made out of some powerful love and fluff spell because not a single person who met her didn’t fall head over heels and do quick math on whether their home/family/car had room for her to be theirs immediately. She is currently 5 months old (as of late March 2025) and she sure looks like a Rottweiler, but with rescue we can’t be sure. Watch her work her magic here then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/Ugp_2_XdfJE Margo is currently in a foster home, living with a cat who is teaching her how to play…like a cat. She is house and crate trained and has learned sit and paw perfectly. Her age and attentive, adoring nature will make training her a fun experience for you both, or all- include the kids, they will love that! Margo is playful, incredibly loving and friendly, and she gives the sweetest smooches! We introduced Margo to a few new dogs to get a feel of how comfortable she is and see who she gravitated to as a playmate. She was initially a bit intimidated by the older dogs, they had freshly rested morning energy and were ready to play and she would have loved an observation period. Despite that she stayed cool, calm, and collected gradually getting more comfortable with their wild ways. Since she is still young she will need a family that can commit to continued training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Margo’s foster has shared that she is house trained but she will likely need a review and a tour of her allowed potty places once she gets home. In addition to living peacefully with a cat, Margo was introduced to our house cat and it was an immediate love connection. She could easily live with a feline companion, preferably one that is open to having a relationship with her because she will absolutely be pursuing that connection and it may break her heart to be rejected. Ready to apply? Be quick about it, this girl will not be available for long- she is such a catch! Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $1600.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake. Story
Cookies is a very sweet dog. I got her from my brothers girlfriend because he passed away and she had no place for a puppy. Cookies is 2 years old. I can no longer take care of her because I’m in an apartment and she deserves a yard and a space she can run in and let her energy out. She also has some behavioral problems she excitement pees and pees when she’s submissive and I can no longer handle those problems as I am young really busy and like I said in an apartment. But she is one of the sweetest dogs and she is full of energy but can also be lazy she loves walks and definitely has a character.

Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I'd like a relaxed home. I wouldn't say I'm "old"... I've just been around for a while. And that's made me appreciate the finer things in life like naps in the sun, looking out windows, and the special joy when you're able to scratch juuuuust the right spot. I like to take it easy at home - I'm not up for lots of activity. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I'd like a home where my family is home often. I'm just really social and love spending time with people, I prefer to not be left alone for long periods.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org.
