Story
Hello my name is Jax I’m a rottweiler mix and am around 2 years old and weigh in at around 65 lbs. I would not do good with cats as they are fun to chase and young kids would be a no as I don’t know my own strength and would be too rough with them. I like other dogs and would do good with a female dog friend. I am working on my leash manners as I was probably never taught and I like to pull and I am a strong boy. I am a talkative boy and will let you know when I want something. I love to run and play and if you are interested in me please email. If you are interested in meeting Jax we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an application. The adoption fee is $250.00, which includes neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming and vaccinations. All adoptions are done by appointment only, with an approved application on file. We truly appreciate your interest in helping a dog in need. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgMarch 5, 2025, 7:47 am

Story
Great semi energetic snuggly little boy!! Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com or https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other Rubble is a 6 mos old (DOB 8 Feb 2023) 40 lb Boxer/Retriever mix. He will be a medium to large dog as an adult. Rubble, his mom (45 lb) and littermates were found running down access road of a highway when they were 5 weeks old. Everyone in litter and mom died of Distemper (due to owner not giving them shots). Rubble is the sole survivor. He will be special needs throughout his life. He is a very special puppy that has tons of love to give and loves all humans, children, playing with other polite /low energy dogs, playing with toys and visiting with volunteers/staff getting chicken /treats. Did we say he LOVES his humans? When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper. He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides. He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects. He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap. He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health. He is looking for a special needs mixed breed dog experienced family. He will do best with another dog companion and someone that works from home or caregiver (female) is home. No apartments.
