Story
Meet AhSoka (aka Soka) the fun sized powerhouse of joy.If you’re looking for a goofy, athletic, life loving dog who thinks every day is a chance for a new adventure she’s your girl.Soka wakes up ready to live. Walk? Run? Tug of war? Yes, yes, and absolutely yes. She LOVES toys and carries them around like treasured possessions, gently placing them next to her bed like a proud little collector. This girl is big dog energy in the best way. She thrives with confident dogs her own size or larger, but she’d shine brightest as the queen of the castle where she can soak up all the attention. Small dogs tend to misunderstand her enthusiasm, so she’d rather skip that drama. Cats?Soka politely says “No thank you I’ll chase them.”She adores people and is a world class cuddler. After she’s done being your adventure buddy, she’ll curl up on the couch or even put herself to bed when she’s ready for the night. Independent and snuggly is the best combo. She’s house and kennel trained, knows her basics like sit and shake, and she handles bath time like a champ. If you want a loyal partner who will make you laugh every single day Soka is waiting to run, play, and love her way into your heart.

Story
Meet Maria Maria is a 4 year old Rottweiler (approximately 80 lbs) who was found severely injured in Rockwall on 03/14/26 and was never reclaimed. Despite her difficult start, Maria has shown nothing but resilience and a gentle, loving spirit. After arriving at RAC with a serious femur fracture-likely the result of being struck by a vehicle-Maria has since undergone surgery to repair her leg. She is now recovering beautifully and actively participating in physical therapy. Each day, she grows stronger and more confident, and she is well on her way to a full and happy life. Through it all, Maria has remained incredibly sweet, calm, and affectionate. She has a kind nature and a quiet strength that truly shines once she feels safe and comfortable. Maria is now spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccine, up to date on her basic boosters, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $125. Due to her ongoing recovery, Maria will need a home that can support her continued healing and provide a calm, stable environment. We believe she would do best in a home with adults or children 16 years and older. At this time, we have not been able to assess her with other dogs, as she is still healing and not yet able to safely participate in dog introductions. Maria has already overcome so much. Now, she's simply waiting for a family to give her the love, patience, and security she deserves as she continues her journey. An approved adoption application is required prior to meet and greets and adoption. If you are interested in giving Maria the loving forever home she's been waiting for, please apply here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. April 8, 2026, 4:25 am

Story
Waverly has been patiently waiting for her forever home for 93 days as of 04/01/26, and she is more than ready to leave shelter life behind. Because of her extended stay, Waverly is now one of our Diamond Dogs, and her adoption fee has been reduced to $75 to help her find the loving home she deserves. This stunning 2-year-old Rottweiler mix weighs about 73 lbs and turns heads everywhere she goes. Beyond her beauty, Waverly is a loyal, people-focused companion who forms strong bonds and thrives on human connection. She previously lived in a home and is housebroken, so she already knows how to be a wonderful indoor companion. Waverly is looking for a home where she can be the only pet, allowing her to soak up all the love and attention and truly shine as your one-and-only best friend. She's ready for stability, routine, and a family who will give her the commitment she deserves. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, and heartworm negative—completely ready to go home. If you're searching for a devoted, beautiful companion who just needs a chance, Waverly could be the one. Apply to adopt Waverly here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Approved applicants will be contacted by Rockwall Adoption Center staff to discuss next steps.
