Story
Murphy – 3 years old male I met Murphy through the kennel door, and it was clear he was scared. But with a little encouragement, he found his courage, came right up to me, and gave me kisses. Murphy has the sweetest soul, and he deserves a far better start to life than he’s had so far. This gentle boy is ready for someone to show him what love and safety truly mean.   He is HW+, but you can foster to adopt , which means the dog stays with you until treatment is completed and they are cleared, at no extra cost to you. The dog comes off the adoption website once you are signed up for the foster to adopt program, or you can choose to go ahead and adopt, which at that point you are responsible for taking care of the treatment and the cost of the treatment Call the shelter at 972-744-4480 or email AskRichardsonAnimalServices@cor.gov to learn more.March 7, 2026, 12:25 pm

Story
Mocha 7-month-old • Male Meet Mocha — a playful, smart young pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart! Mocha is great with other dogs and loves to play. He’s also been gentle with cats, making him a nice fit for a multi-pet home. He hasn’t spent much time around kids yet and may be a bit too energetic for very small children. This handsome boy is fully potty trained and already knows several commands in both English and Spanish, including Sit, Stay, Hand/Mano. He’s very attached to his people and has a protective streak — more of a “watchful guardian” than a tough guy, as he’s never bitten anyone. Mocha is still a puppy at heart and can be jumpy and rambunctious, so he would benefit from continued training to polish his manners. He loves rubber toys and enjoys both indoor time and being outdoors in a secure yard. Best match: An active home that can provide structure, training, and plenty of love. Mocha will thrive with someone ready to guide him as he grows into a wonderful adult dog. Smart, playful, and loyal — Mocha is ready to find his forever home! Story
Rango came to the shelter as an owner surrender, extremely underweight and clearly neglected. Despite everything he’s been through, this sweet boy has shown nothing but love. He’s estimated to be around 2 years old and every day he’s starting to shine a little more. Rango is gentle, kind, and just wants someone to give him the care he never had. He deserves a fresh start and a family who will never let him down again. Call the shelter at 972-744-4480 or email AskRichardsonAnimalServices@cor.gov to learn more.March 9, 2026, 5:29 pm

Story
Smart As He Is Good Looking Snowy may be the runt of the little, but he’s the smartest of the four pups. Independent, curious and energetic, this Rottweiler mix puppy loves to explore and figure stuff out on his own. Very playful, treat-motivated and just as happy zooming around as he is taking a good nap. Snowy is pee pad trained and does well with other dogs. His intelligence and confidence will shine in a home ready to keep him engaged and growing. He LOVES food. Still learning to like his crate, learning noises are ok. Knows how to sit so well like the best boy he's is. Working on not barking when he sees other dogs and people. Which, he seems to be catching on fast. Hims such a handsome boy. Five puppies found dumped on the countryside a day before the freeze. They were young, scared, and needed safety. They were around 8 weeks old. Guessing they may be Rottie mixes based on paws and fur. Playful, adorable and sweet puppies. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
