Update: Our Rescued Rottie Has a Name🌙🩷 Her foster dad has chosen the beautiful name, Luna. He says she's a wonderful girl. She's loving & gentle. Luna was a perfect passenger on the ride to DFW. She was great on a leash too. Once she arrived, she was treated to some dinner & a grooming. 🛁🫧 Luna seemed to enjoy all the special treatment. She was given a pretty flower to wear on her collar.🌻 After a quick photo session, she was off to meet her foster family. Luna is settling in & doing very well. She's still underweight, but not for long! Once she's fully vetted, she'll be available for adoption, however we've begun taking applications for her. AhSoka (aka Soka) has a ton of energy and is always willing to go on walks or runs, and play tug of war with toys. She loves toys but she is very gentle with them. She loves to keep her toys close and will put them next to her beds.Soka would do best with dogs her own size or bigger, with proper introductions and time. With her high energy she tends to get in the personal space of other dogs without realizing that they may not like it. She has been around small dogs but most of them tend to dislike her high energy and when they snap at Soka she will take it as an attack. For that reason she would do better as an only dog until she can adapt to other, preferably bigger dogs. Soka is great with people. She loves to cuddle on the couch or bed but doesn't always need to be right there with you. Once she sees nothing exciting is going on she sometimes goes to her room or bed to chill on her own. Otherwise she is all about laying in your lap. She needs a few interactions with different females in order to grow accustomed to them but she is then super friendly. Soka is good with kids who know how to be around big dogs. Soka has a high prey drive with squirrels so she will not do well with cats. Soka has not been pool tested but she will handle a bath just fine.Soka is house and kennel trained. She knows basic commands such as sit and shake.

Lucci was living on the streets with his owner.  The owner was on parole and was in jeapordy of going back to jail so he had just let her loose and walked away from her.. Lucci was not well taken care of and was used to solicit money for his homeless owner. She was often tied up behind a  Dollare General in 100 degree weather.   He had a large tumor that had to be removed.  Lucci is a sweet girl sho is about 7 years old.She is housebroken and great with other dogs.  She is good with cats too.  Sweet and loving.  She weighs 50 lbs and she sleeps with her foster currently.She LOVES water  - she loves to run through the water hose and frolick in the water and she is great on car rides. She would also do well with children. Lucci has not been lucky (her previous name) but we changed it and hope she finds a loving, wonderful home!!! ##1839728##
