Story
Hear ye, hear ye! I’m Sir Wigglebottom (60585011), 2 year old Rottweiler mix with a royal title and a tail that simply refuses to stop wagging. OK, I don't really have a tail, but my bottom wiggles! I’m a happy, playful lad who loves toys, treats, and a good game, but when the fun winds down, I’m more than ready to settle in for some affection with my favorite humans. I’ve got the wiggles, the charm, and a big loving heart… now I just need a forever kingdom to call home. Could you be the lucky one to take Sir Wigglebottom home?    Check out all the adoptable animals on the shelter's website! https://www.collincountytx.gov/Services/Animal-Services/adoptable-pets All adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip and first round of vaccinations. Meet AhSoka (aka Soka) the fun sized powerhouse of joy.If you’re looking for a goofy, athletic, life loving dog who thinks every day is a chance for a new adventure she’s your girl.Soka wakes up ready to live. Walk? Run? Tug of war? Yes, yes, and absolutely yes. She LOVES toys and carries them around like treasured possessions, gently placing them next to her bed like a proud little collector. This girl is big dog energy in the best way. She thrives with confident dogs her own size or larger, but she’d shine brightest as the queen of the castle where she can soak up all the attention. Small dogs tend to misunderstand her enthusiasm, so she’d rather skip that drama. Cats?Soka politely says “No thank you I’ll chase them.”She adores people and is a world class cuddler. After she’s done being your adventure buddy, she’ll curl up on the couch or even put herself to bed when she’s ready for the night. Independent and snuggly is the best combo. She’s house and kennel trained, knows her basics like sit and shake, and she handles bath time like a champ. If you want a loyal partner who will make you laugh every single day Soka is waiting to run, play, and love her way into your heart.

Story
Smart As He Is Good Looking Snowy may be the runt of the little, but he’s the smartest of the four pups. Independent, curious and energetic, this Rottweiler mix puppy loves to explore and figure stuff out on his own. Very playful, treat-motivated and just as happy zooming around as he is taking a good nap. Snowy is pee pad trained and does well with other dogs. His intelligence and confidence will shine in a home ready to keep him engaged and growing. He LOVES food. Still learning to like his crate, learning noises are ok. Knows how to sit so well like the best boy he's is. Working on not barking when he sees other dogs and people. Which, he seems to be catching on fast. Hims such a handsome boy. Five puppies found dumped on the countryside a day before the freeze. They were young, scared, and needed safety. They were around 8 weeks old. Guessing they may be Rottie mixes based on paws and fur. Playful, adorable and sweet puppies. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Professional Snuggler Blizzard. He was an absolute star! Blizzard is such a fast learner and a total love bug. He’s very food motivated (which makes training fun and effective!), currently learning potty training, already knows **sit**, and is about **80% reliable on stay** — pretty impressive for a young pup still figuring out the world. Very friendly meeting new people, and shows off his sweet personality. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate companion who just wants to love and be loved, Blizzard might be your guy. ❤️ Blizzard is all heart. This Rottweiler mix puppy is affectionate, playful and happiest when he’s near his people. He loves treats and is a full-time love bug. Blizzard is pee pad trained, and good with other dogs. He’s looking for a home that will give him lots of love and make him feel like he’s an important part of the family. Five puppies found dumped on the countryside a day before the freeze. Good with dogs, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Duchess was in a small, high-kill shelter when we came across her information. Her eyes were so infected that she could not open them, and the shelter had posted her as being blind. Our vet discovered that Duchess doesn’t produce tears, and the chronic dry eye had been untreated for so long that her corneas were damaged and infected. This sweet girl was initially so shut down that she had to remind herself what a special dog she is. We are trying our best to save her eyes; she gets two types of medicated drops twice a day and artificial tears as often as possible. She has learned to let her foster clean her eyes and is good about getting her drops. She is now able to see, although not as well as we hope she will as we progress. She will need eye drops ongoing. Duchess now plays with the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys running around her yard. Her very favorite thing is getting attention and spending time with her humans. She wants to devote herself entirely to her family and take care of them. This girl is a wonderful Doberman and an ambassador for the breed. She is house trained, can use a doggie door, or ask to go outside if she doesn't have one. She is fine being left home alone or with her canine friends, but would rather go wherever her human is going. She’s great at going for rides and would be the perfect travel companion. Duchess is fully vetted, current with vaccines, spayed, on flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.

Story
Ellie is a 7-year old brindle boxer, is spayed, crate trained, potty trained, and is micro-chipped. She loves to snuggle and has a very sweet and relaxed demeanor. Ellie can be a little shy and unsure at first, but warms up quickly.  She likes to gently paw her people on the leg while they're sitting down to get their attention for affection.  Ellie is also very good about staying off of furniture, couches, etc., except for the occasional misplaced paw for attention.   She's indifferent about water, does get distracted on a leash, and she'll usually follow a ball playing fetch but doesn't always bring it back. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped and heartworm negative. She takes inexpensive thyroid medication daily. Ellie is good with kids and will likely need to be an only pet.  Her adoption fee is $200 and you can apply to meet her here:  Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
