Story
Meet Wally! Wally is a 1Âמ year old male Rottie/Pit mix weighing approximately 65 lbs who was found off Wagonwheel Drive in Rockwall on 04/23/26. Unfortunately, he was never reclaimed and is now available for adoption. Wally is new to the crew, so we are still getting to know him—stay tuned for updates as we learn more about his personality and preferences. As he settles in, we'll share more information to help find him the best possible match. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is required prior to adoption to ensure they get along. Wally will need to return to RAC on Wednesday, 04/29/26, for his rabies vaccine, neuter, and heartworm test. This date is non-negotiable, and adopters will need to plan accordingly. Wally's adoption fee is $125 and includes his neuter, rabies vaccine, basic boosters, microchip, and heartworm test. Those interested in adopting Wally must submit an online adoption application. An approved application is required for meet and greets as well as for adoption. Apply online at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. April 28, 2026, 10:57 am

Story
Sweet Maria! Maria is a 4-year-old Rottweiler (approximately 80 lbs) who was found severely injured in Rockwall on 03/14/26 and was never reclaimed. She arrived with a serious femur fracture - likely from being struck by a vehicle - and underwent surgery to repair her leg. Despite everything she's endured, Maria has shown incredible resilience and a gentle, loving spirit. She had her staples removed on 04/08/26 and is recovering beautifully. Maria is now enjoying short walks and light activity while continuing her physical therapy. She will have follow-up X-rays to determine if any additional therapy is needed, but she grows stronger every day. Through it all, Maria has remained calm, affectionate, and quietly strong. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality truly shines. Maria is spayed, microchipped, current on rabies, up to date on boosters, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $125. Due to her ongoing recovery, Maria will need a calm, stable home that can support her continued healing. We believe she would do best with adults or children 16+. At this time, she has not been assessed with other dogs while she continues to recover. Maria has already overcome so much - now she's just waiting for a family to give her the love and security she deserves. An approved adoption application is required prior to meet and greets and adoption: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
