Story
STORMI is one of 7 babies that were left in dire straits when the mom's owner abandoned them. They are a combination of Boxer, Staffy, Lab and Cane Corso. The woman who has rescued them is about to get kicked out of her apartment because this puts her WAY over the limit but she's managed to get them their puppy shots and wormer and fed them even though it's straining her budget. She found a home for two of the pups but this little cutie and three sisters and a brother are desperate to find new homes. Spays and neuters will be included in their adoption fee. They are somewhat paper trained but will need potty training, leash training, etc. They love people and get excited to see new people. They are chewers as most pups are so learning to be crated when left alone would be to everyone's benefit. If you are interested in meeting this girl or any of the siblings, Khaos, Zuri, Chiquita and Onyx please fill out an adoption application and we'll get you connected to her as soon as you are approved. Or, if you are even willing to foster them while they are looking for a new home that would be great too! Their adoption fee will be $300 which as was mentioned included their spays and neuters. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm

Story
A friend of mine found Hermosa abandoned on a road on his way back from California. From the very beginning she has always been shy and kinda gets her a little to warm up to people and not in an aggressive way but more like she’s scared. She’s very gentle and loves hugs once the trust is there. She’s was still fairly a pup when she was rescued so I’d say she’s about 4-5 years old. She was the first pup at our home months later we got her sister Kira ( Rottweiler) so she’s good with bigger dogs. I have noticed she doesn’t like our neighbors small dogs but not sure if it’s all small dogs. She is great with kids and just full of energy . She runs fast and jumps to try to catch squirrels! Really want someone who’s going to have patience for her to warm up to and who will give her lots of love and care!

Click the "meet me" button to start the process and schedule an appointment. To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.I may be shy at first, but once we get to know each other I will shower you with love!New things are a little scary to me, but I all I need is time and someone to show me it's okay.High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my physical and mental exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.I can't wait to show my new family how playful I am!I am a full time love-bug and part time cuddle-bug.I had so much fun meeting another dog here in the shelter. My friends at OHS think I would be great at making new dog friends! The type of home I'm looking for:I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted.Loud noises and unpredictable movements can make me uncomfortable, I would do best in a home with calm, older children. It could be with you! Story
Hey everyone! I’m Chunk — the goofy, cuddly, food-motivated king of the house. I get along with cats and dogs, but let’s be honest… I LOVE being the main attraction, so I’d be happiest as your one-and-only furry star. ✨ Kids? They’re my FAVORITE. I have a baby at home right now, and I love her so much. I lay by her, watch over her, and follow her like I’m her personal fuzzy bodyguard. I’m gentle, patient, and happiest when little humans are around. I’m crate trained (I’ll go in if needed), but I prefer being out where all the fun — and snacks — are happening. I’m super food motivated, so teaching me tricks is easy… especially if treats are involved. 👀 I do need an allergy shot every 3 months, but I hate the vet — I put on a whole dramatic performance about it. Don’t worry, treats fix everything. If you want a silly, sweet, loyal boy who adores kids and brings nonstop love and laughs, Chunk is your guy. 💛🐾

Story
**🐾 Meet Kane – Your Loyal Sunbathing Sidekick ☀️** Kane is a **7-year-old male Pit Bull Terrier** with a story of resilience and a heart that just keeps giving. Kane came to us after a horrific accident where he had been **run over and pinned beneath a vehicle**. The damage to his skin was extensive, and he spent **an entire year here patiently rehabbing and healing**. Through it all, Kane showed us exactly who he is — **strong, gentle, and full of love.** Now fully healed, Kane is ready for the next chapter of his life with the right family. **About Kane:** 🐾 Neutered & microchipped 🏡 Housetrained 🐕 Good with most other dogs (he especially loves smaller dog friends!) 🎾 Loves playing fetch ☀️ Professional sunbather 🛏️ His dream? Sleeping in bed curled up against your legs Kane has been adopted **twice before**, but those homes just weren’t quite the perfect fit for him. Sometimes the right match takes time, and Kane is **patiently waiting for the family who truly understands him and will love him forever.** What we know for sure is this: Kane is a **wonderful, affectionate dog** who bonds deeply with his people and deserves a home where he can finally settle in for good. If you think Kane might be your missing piece, we’d love to set up a meet and greet. ❤️ **Apply here:** [https://bit.ly/pawdadopt](https://bit.ly/pawdadopt) *The right family is out there somewhere… Kane is just waiting to meet you.*

Story
Ekko was dumped near my sister in laws house, and we took him in, such a sweet boy it sounds ironic since we are rehoming him but there is genuinely no reason he should’ve been dumped. He is around 2 years old and a ball of energy, he loves to get the zoomies and winds down in the evening. I am looking for someone who is willing to get him training with leashes and to manage his energy or overstimulation. He needs someone who is patient and consistent, he’s extremely food motivated and I’m positive he will make an amazing companion. He is so funny and charming, but he loves to jump and lick so that can of course be overwhelming sometimes although I’m sure he can be trained to redirect his excitement towards toys and such!
