Knight is a loving and caring companion who brings comfort just by being near you . He has a protective nature that makes you feel safe, yet he is still full of playful energy and excitement. Whether he is chasing a toy or trotting beside you on a walk, he shows how much he enjoys spending time with you. At three years old, he has grown into a loyal friend with a gentle heart. I adopted him from my friend when he was only four months old.

Story
We adopted Bheema from a shelter and have had him for three months. He was brought to the shelter abandoned and tremendously underweight. The vet thinks he is about a year old. Bheema is a sweet, loyal, dog with lots of young puppy energy. He is a quick learner and is house-trained and can sit, stay and come and leave it/release. I would say he does live up to the "velcro dog" association of this breed. We are rehoming Bheema because he has high anxiety, including separation anxiety, and is very protective of our home, which makes it hard to have people over because he barks/is anxious. In talking to a Rottweiler specialists these are all trainable, but it will take time and we feel that we do not have the time/capacity. Seeking someone with expertise with this breed and (nonviolent) dog training background. He will make someone very happy with the right training and owners with a resonant lifestyle to have this type of dog. He needs lots of exercise and stimulation.

Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. She would also be good for someone that is younger but more of a homebody time as well. She is super beautiful and is a head turner in looks. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Story
Hello, I'm Rumble! I'm a big lovable Rottie with a heart of gold for people!! According to my foster mom, I've got the heart of a big, playful puppy, and sometimes I forget that I'm a larger dog when I'm having a blast. So, if you have smaller dogs at home, we might just need a little adjustment period to get along famously. But here's the thing—when it comes to cats, I'm not the most purr-fect playmate, so if you've got a furry feline in the house, I might not be the ideal match. Now, if you believe you can provide me with a loving and caring home, please don't hesitate to apply today. And yes, I may be soaking up the Texas sunshine right now, but the good news is that I'm ready to hit the road and make my way to your heart and home. All it takes is a $230 transport fee, and I'll be on my way to becoming your loyal companion.Let's make it happen! Apply today, and let's embark on a journey of love and companionship together. Thank you for considering me for adoption! Online Application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $300).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Harley is currently at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. -Harley is a male and is 6-7 months old (February 28) -He and his 2 brothers look completely different, Harley looks like a Doberman (sleek bodied, long thin face), one looks like a Shepherd mix, and another looks like a Shepherd/Rottie mix. So, I think they are a mixed bag breed-wise. Can only go off of looks for now. -Weighs around 25-30 pounds on February 28th -Came into a local shelter due to an abuse/neglect case -Does well with other dogs -Probably best with older children at time of posting, he and siblings get excited and nip at end of your shirt/coat sleeves for attention/when excited -May be housebroken, does not go to the bathroom in his crate/kennel and immediately uses the bathroom when he is put outside -Very friendly, loves attention and pets -Loves to run and be outside -Video of Harley from January 18: https://youtube.com/shorts/7XvllxcKUbY Harley is neutered, vaccinated (DHLPP, Bordetella and Rabies), dewormed, microchipped, and is on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport. Adoption fee is $700, this is including all vetting above and transport cost. Please fill out this application FIRST if you'd like to adopt Harley: https://form.jotform.com/243134969050053 If you aren't contacted within 48 hours after filling out online form, please contact us again at 580-257-0622 or luckypawsdoghouse@gmail.com. Story
Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Story
Meet Frankie! This gorgeous boy is a 4 month old pup. He is around 10 lbs and will grow to a medium size.  Frankie arrived with his two siblings and is in a foster home in Seattle. He is a very sweet boy. Frankie is pretty special.  He is a bit more timid than his sisters, possibly because he is the only puppy in his foster home. With another dog in the home he will likely come out of his shell much more.  He is more comfortable exploring the backyard and being on grass and is learning to walk on a leash.  His part boxer personality is starting to shine and he realizes how fun squeaky toys are.  Wherever you're sitting he has to be right next to you.  He is great with kids although a little shy around new adults.   Frankie has had his first puppy vaccinations, is microchipped and dewormed. He will be neutered around 8 months of age, at our cost. His adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
