Story
Hi, I'm Ronald, a super sweet 2-year-old Rottie with a big heart and a love for treats! I adore people, but I can get a little uncomfortable around young kids, so a home with children over 12 would be ideal for me. I'm also a bit pully on leash, but I do really well during playgroups with other pups. Right now, I'm recovering from surgery, so I'm rocking an e-collar to help me heal up just right. If you're looking for a loving and loyal companion, I'm your guy. Let's enjoy life to the fullest, together!🐾 Ronald is dog social!Ronald would do best in a home with:-Children over 12 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 94 Age: 2yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. She would also be good for someone that is younger but more of a homebody time as well. She is super beautiful and is a head turner in looks. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. What my friends at Seattle Humane say about me:· I love to be near my people while playing with my toys and keeping my brain busy.· I enjoy leisurely walks in quiet areas where I can experience new smells with low stimulation. · I like to take my candy cane toy on walks with me outside the shelter. If you see me outside, I'll show you my cool toy.· My energy might be best complimented by an atmosphere of quiet. Did you know that Seattle Humane has Puppy and Dog training classes? Story
Charlie is a 1.5yo neutered Boxer (50%)/Husky/German Shepherd Mix who was saved from euthanasia in Modesto, CA. He LOVES the company of other dogs, plays well, very submissive, and is good with cats! Sweet Charlie was clearly abused in his past, and as a result he is slow to trust humans and prefers the company of furry friends. With time and patience, he is the sweetest lovebug and regularly seeks out his foster mom for pets. Charlie is potty trained and kennel trained, great in the car, and loves to go with his foster mom on walks! This beautiful boy is ready to be spoiled. To help Charlie settle in his furever home, his foster mom has offered to pay for one virtual session with the trainer they have been working with (All Ears Petcare), upon completion of adoption. Dog Name: Charlie (fka Roscoe) DNA says Charlie is 50% Boxer, 25% Husky, 25% German Shepherd. Husky traits and personality are most present. Likely 1.5yo as of summer 2024 Good with dogs? Yes, extremely  Good with kids? Older kids  Good with cats? Yes Has experience on a leash? Yes Potty trained? Yes Crate trained? Yes Where does the dog stay when it is home alone? In kennel, in room with other dogs Where does the dog sleep? In kennel, in bedroom When does the dog eat? Twice per day 7am/7pm 2.5c each meal  What does the dog eat? Purina pro plan chicken and treats of all kinds  Temperament/Personality: Charlie is a super loyal, playful goofball! He is very timid with humans at first, but given a bit of time and space, and with the help of another friendly dog in the home, is the sweetest most devoted companion. Charlie is great with other dogs, understands cues and is polite in greetings, very submissive, and does not resource guard at all. He is great with the cats and good around the horses, he is interested in the chickens but we’ve been able to call him away from them without issue. Charlie is good in the car, wants nothing more than to have his head out the window the entire time no matter how fast you go! He enjoys going with his trusted human anywhere, walks, stores, and has even visited a brew pub and settled with the other dogs despite the strange humans around. .  What does the dog's ideal home look like? Charlie needs a low-traffic home with another friendly dog or cat and humans that can be patient and allow him space to adjust with minimal handling and direct attention while he adjusts to the new environment. He is more wary of men, but can still bond with them given extra time and patience.  What are the dog's strengths? Charlie is cat neutral and ultra-dog friendly, very submissive and loves dog parks. When under pressure or cornered by humans, he will pancake or try to hide but never react with violence. Charlie loves to go with his trusted human anywhere and is great in the car. He is also so, so cute with his curly-q tail and morning goob sessions. What is the dog still working on? What can they improve? Charlie is working on expanding his trusted-people and getting more exposure to people-places. We are also working to settle in kennel as a safe space.  If your foster were a celebrity, who would they be? Adam Driver, a reclusive goofball with distinctive recognizable features. If your foster dog were on a dating site, what would their profile say? Working through my PTSD and anxiety, looking for a stable and loving home to help me gain confidence!  Beach or Mountains? Mountains, he’s been loving the trails of Western Washington but is not a big water guy. Squeaky/Bouncy/Chewy, what do they look for in a toy? Trifecta squeaky, wiggly, and crinkly! He also enjoys a good chew sometimes. Complete this sentence “My foster wishes they had a friend with whom they could share a loving and playful home!” What’s your foster’s favorite dessert? Freeze dried beef liver crumb topping on greek yogurt over a pupsicle. Trainer Notes What does the dog’s ideal future home look like?  Charlie would likely do well in a home with at least one other friendly dog, and/or cat to show him the ropes. Charlie does well in a pack and is very submissive. The other pets in the home will help win over Charlie’s affection. Charlie would do well with owners who have experience with fearful dog behavior or who are willing to work with a positive reinforcement trainer from the start. Charlie will freeze  when approached by a new human and not settle without guidance. A fenced backyard will help Charlie to move around and bond with his new dog pack while reducing the leash training at the start. What is Charlie currently working on?  He was shut down from the extended time in the shelter. Fear shows up from loud noises and fast movements, Charlie is overly cautious about humans, leading us to believe he’s been abused. We see this from his pancake behavior on leash. He wants to trust his new family. He is willing but is fighting his survival mode of fight/flight/freeze.  Decompression and settling into a home environment to bring out his personality. Trusting humans again is our biggest priority since he had been so shutdown.  Building confidence and trust with people. Leash walking instead of stopping.  What should his furever family be prepared for?  Charlie will be more willing to approach you if you love your current pets. Be prepared to train all the dogs in a group until Charlie trusts you enough not to shut down from full attention.  Charlie may hide under a table or find a corner spot for his bed to settle and observe. He should be allowed to build trust at his pace and affection should not be forced upon him; he will eventually seek affection and physical comfort. He is seeking to trust but is currently very nervous around new people.  www.northwestwagrescue.org Adoption $500 ##2054770##

Story
Name: MollyBreed: Boxer mix.Sex: FemaleAge: 1 year old.Size: Medium.10 kg/22 lbs  Molly is a very active and happy dog with a playful and protective personality. She was found alone on the street on a rainy day, suffering from anemia and infested with fleas. Her condition was so severe that you could see her bones. Sadly, she was a victim of violence, which has left her fearful of homeless and elderly people. Her rescuer loves her but recently had surgery so she is not able to take care of her anymore. Molly is good at walking on a leash, goes to the bathroom in the designated spot, and is ready for more training due to her good temperament. Molly needs a family that enjoys an active lifestyle, including walks and runs to help manage her energy. She responds in an environment with well-defined boundaries and ongoingtraining. She gets along with dogs and kids. She loves playing with her toys and taking walks and once she trusts you she will love and protect you unconditionally. Up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed and heartworm negative Molly is waiting in Mexico for a chance to come the WA.
