Story

Sasha is an amazing female shar-pei that acts much younger than her age. She would love an active household that includes her in activities. Sasha is very smart and takes direction/correction well. She has been fostering as an only dog, but can be good with other dogs after appropriate slow introductions and does best with dogs that are neutral or not reactive. She has been on overnights to a friends' home with small dogs, but has had less exposure to larger dogs. This girl loves to please! She loves toys, walks on a leash/harness (but could use some more practice), knows "sit", "stay", "heel" and "come", and is potty trained. She is not used to being crated at her current foster home. She may briefly barky at strangers, but warms up quickly, particularly in her foster home. Strange dogs get an equally barky reception, but with guidance and time, we believe she's totally up for a four-legged bff, but would be just as happy or happier (?) as an only dog, getting all of your attention and love! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Sasha loves attention and hanging out in the yard. (She would really like a yard.) She will chase the occasional squirrel and loves to bird watch. She has a lot of energy and would love regular walks and fun. But she can be a snuggly couch companion, giving eskimo kisses, too! This girl is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She would do best in a home without small toddlers, but has been on sleepovers with kids aged 7+ without issue. Did we mention she is also drop dead gorgeous??? Toast is a happy guy that ended up being surrendered because his owner's housing didn't allow dogs. This young guy is very friendly, likes other dogs, rides well in a car. He could use some basic training and pulls a bit on a leash, but we can work with that...the important thing is his kind personality. Toast has lived with kids, so no issues there. Meet Kyoto! Kyoto is a 43 pound male that came into the shelter with wounds down his back (flea control that burned? something else?) that are almost completely healed. He jumped right up to our volunteer who picked him up and immediately gave kisses. Kyoto is really good with other dogs. **Friendly:** Kyoto gets along well with other dogs and is expected to be good with children and other pets. **Leash Training:** Walks on a leash with no problem. **Bath Time:** Loves bathing and enjoys every moment of it! **Eater:** Enjoys eating and hasn't refused anything yet. **Potty trained:** Uses outside for potty needs. **Loyal:** Stays close to his human inside and outside. Bear is a calm older male who has life left to live. Bear was found as a stray, is good with other dogs, walks well on a leash. We did bloodwork and a urinalysis and this boy is healthy, so he is freshly neutered! Bear has a gorgeous coat and chill personality. He can be a but growly, so we are recommending a home without small children. He is taking gabapentin daily as he appears a bit arthritic, but he gets around fine, and he sees and hears perfectly when you have a treat in your hand (his hearing is actually poor overall). He loves hanging out with you inside, preferring shorter walks and doesn't care for cold weather. He is good for car rides and loves trips to the pet store to pick a toy! Oh, and he loves his bones and scratches from his favorite people. He is about 45 pounds. He is fostering just east of San Francisco. Meiko is good with other dogs and is friendly with people (even the vets!). This boy loves food and cuddles, adores being outside, but if given the choice will follow you around or hang inside with you. He is independent, would be fine in a home where people work/out of home. He will give a little bark in the morning to let you know it's time for outside potty trip. He is good on a leash and rides well in a car. He loves his favorite bone (which he can spend hours gnawing on) and food bowl and will give you a little growl if he thinks you will take it, so we are recommending a home without toddlers (who tend to wave crackers/food in their hands and may want to borrow a yummy dog bone without asking). Hi there! I’m Mooch, I’m a four-year-old pup with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging. I’m not one of those “sit quietly and watch” kind of dogs—oh no, I’m all about action, fun, and play! Toys? Don’t even get me started. Squeaky ones, bouncy ones, or even the ones that make crinkly noises—I’m obsessed with them all. If you toss it, I’ll chase it. If you hide it, I’ll find it. I could play fetch for hours, and trust me, I’ll let you know when I’m ready for more (hint: it’s all the time). I’m a social butterfly too. Other dogs? Love ‘em. If they like me, I like them. I’ll even wag my tail if I’m in my crate and they come to my door to visit and sniff me. And people? Don’t even get me started! Whether you’re scratching my ears, tossing a ball, or just sitting on the couch, I’m your biggest fan. Oh, and about those noises I make—you might hear some grumbling growls when I’m really excited. Remi is a 6-year-old English Bulldog with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Sweet, easygoing boy who needs a loving home with someone who understands bulldogs and the special care they require. Like many bulldogs, Remi may have occasional health needs, so best with a family familiar with the breed or willing to learn. Remi has been raised around kids; we have three young children, and he has always been incredibly gentle and patient. He loves to nap, snore, and just hang out with his people. He is a bit grumpy when woken up from a deep sleep, but it’s just part of his bulldog charm. We love Remi deeply, but with three little ones at home, we can’t give him the time and attention he truly deserves. He needs a family who can give him lots of love, companionship, and care and is use to someone being home most days. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly buddy and you understand the bulldog life, Remi could be the perfect match for your family.
