The Co Founder of the rescue saw a picture of Opal in Mexico covered in Ticks and emaciated skinny. She was homeless living in the streets of Tijuana . We got her here and immediately took her to the vet for bloodwork and a 4DX test to make sure she had no tickborne diseases. Thankfully everything came back negative and her blood work normal! She is currently a medical status because she needs to slowly gain weight .It was found that she is deaf. She will need about a month for recovery and rehabilitation. Her personality is as sweet as pie! She just wants to be with her Hooman all the time. She is a lap dog. She is not too playful yet but that will come with time. Hello. Rocco is a white boxer mixed with a brindle boxer and has the cutest brown patch around his eye. He will be turning 5 years old in November. He still has the energy to play and is full of love. He has never bitten anyone or any other animal. Unfortunately, Rocco needs eye surgery for a tumor that developed on his eye and is also just starting to develop on the other eye. According to the vet, tumor can be removed without affecting his eyesight or without needing to remove the entire eye. As of now, vet does not suspect it to be cancerous either. He doesn’t show any signs of discomfort at this moment. It is a surgery that I’m not able to afford due to unforeseen circumstances. He is very loved by his family but we want him to have a fighting chance to live as long as possible and to keep his eyesight.
