Story

Sasha is an amazing female shar-pei that acts much younger than her age. She would love an active household that includes her in activities. Sasha is very smart and takes direction/correction well. She has been fostering as an only dog, but can be good with other dogs after appropriate slow introductions and does best with dogs that are neutral or not reactive. She has been on overnights to a friends' home with small dogs, but has had less exposure to larger dogs. This girl loves to please! She loves toys, walks on a leash/harness (but could use some more practice), knows "sit", "stay", "heel" and "come", and is potty trained. She is not used to being crated at her current foster home. She may briefly barky at strangers, but warms up quickly, particularly in her foster home. Strange dogs get an equally barky reception, but with guidance and time, we believe she's totally up for a four-legged bff, but would be just as happy or happier (?) as an only dog, getting all of your attention and love! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Sasha loves attention and hanging out in the yard. (She would really like a yard.) She will chase the occasional squirrel and loves to bird watch. She has a lot of energy and would love regular walks and fun. But she can be a snuggly couch companion, giving eskimo kisses, too! This girl is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She would do best in a home without small toddlers, but has been on sleepovers with kids aged 7+ without issue. Did we mention she is also drop dead gorgeous??? Meiko was found as a stray in Northern California and landed in a shelter. He was underweight, already neutered and his age is estimated at 6 years (possibly younger). Meiko is good with other dogs and is friendly with people (even the vets!). He is possessive of his favorite bone (which he can spend hours gnawing on) and will give you a little growl if he thinks you will take it, so he probably shouldn't be around young kids (who tend to wave crackers/food in their hands and may want to borrow a yummy dog bone without asking). This boy loves food and cuddles, adores being outside, but if given the choice will follow you around or hang inside with you. He is independent, would be fine in a home where people work/out of home. He will give a little bark in the morning to let you know it's time for outside potty trip. Liberty is a gorgeous 2 year old female shar-pei. She landed in a shelter as a stray, and was kenneled with other dogs. She seems to love to cuddle with stuffed animals, appears good with other dogs and while she didn't exactly love the vets at the shelter, she seems to really like her foster humans. Liberty weighs about 41 pounds, and is currently waiting for spay and probable entropion surgery. She will be up to date on vaccines and microchipped prior to adoption. Baloo is an 8 year old gorgeous blue male, with tons of pep and acts much younger. He originally came from a breeder, but his owner passed away, and his extended family isn't able to keep him. Baloo has been around dogs and cats. He will be neutered (assuming bloodwork all looks good) in early August. He is microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He is about 40 pounds. Before being rescued, it was discovered I had been shot, leaving me blind in one eye. Don’t worry; this doesn't stop me from enjoying life to the fullest! I was also found with stab wounds and was extremely underweight. Despite a hard start, I have come a long way and I am healthy and happy now and looking for my furever home where I can love my people as much as they love me. Everyone says I really deserve that! One thing to know about me is that I LOVE water! I love to play but I do play a little rough, so a home with kids over 12 would be best. I enjoy other dogs if they are calm and respect my space. Drizzle’s foster mom wants you to know that “Drizzle has a joy for life especially when she flips over on her back and wiggles around. This zest transfers over to you in complete laughter and happiness. You can’t help but enjoy life with her!”Drizzle’s perfect morning looks like this: a car ride, yoga on the bluff in the sunshine with her foster mom, lots of affection, another car ride, and a toy to play with or chew on. Then home so her foster mom can go to work, and she can hang out in her bed, snoring through video calls. Drizzle is about 7 years old and 65 lbs., and mornings like this have given her a whole new perspective on how great life can be! In her previous life, where she may have been used as a breeder mama, Drizzle was left with some hip issues that limit her walks to just a few blocks, but that won’t stop her from trying to pull on her leash a little if she gets the chance (don’t give her the chance)! Drizzle can be a bit stubborn and is working on her leash skills. She’s also learning how to sit (and practicing before every meal!), is completely housetrained, and is looking to her humans for direction. She can be the proverbial bull[dog] in a China shop, so would likely do better with older kids rather than little ones. Drizzle loves meeting people and dogs on her walks, and she is doing great at cohabitating with her foster dog sibling.
