Story
Shay is a wonderful young dog that craves affection and company. She was found as a stray so we have no medical background. She appears very healthy with no medical issues found. She is very active, however she is good on a leash and is crate trained. She does like to jump up so she needs some training. NOTE: The shelter's budget does NOT cover vet exams for these animals. We recommend that each adopted animal get a complete Veterinary exam (including fecal), within about a week of adoption. July 13, 2026, 12:23 am

Story
A friend gave me Tobias after he was a stray in his neighborhood for a few months. Ive been taking care of him since except, he is high maintenance and doesn’t like to listen, although that might be on my own training skills.. I want to re-home him to someone willing to cater to his need for speed (he loves to run around and play) If you have land or animals, he would be perfect for you. He is a great companion.. very loyal.. I just don’t have the capacity to take care of him anymore.. (being 21 years old in school and working part time)PLEASEEEE adopt Tobias I will appreciate you greatly and so will he!!If you choose to adopt I will give you his big ole cage he sleeps in, his harness, and the rest of his pet food for free.

Story
Meet Mia a 4-year-old, 70-80 lb fully vaccinated and spayed beauty who thrives in a structured environment and has consistently proven herself easy to work with, responsive, and eager to please. Mia is looking for a calm, confident adopter who can offer her the routine and structure, which is where she thrives! She'll do well in a dog-savvy home and gets along with other dogs when management is clear and calm. We recommend a home without young children; teens may be fine with guidance. Over the years, she's completed several training programs--passing each with flying colors! . To support her in her next chapter, Happy Gentle Dogs will provide a complimentary Board & Train before adoption, along with a smooth, hands-on transfer and follow-up support to set everyone up for success. Mia has a solid foundation and a big heart. If you're ready to meet her with patience and purpose, we'd love to hear from you. If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Mia is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.July 24, 2026, 12:04 am
