Story
Mila is a super sweet, quiet and gentle girl. She gives the best cuddles, communicates very well and comes when called. I think she would be a good fit for a single young woman living alone. She was abandoned with me by her previous owner and I already have a puppy so I can’t afford to keep her. She will be 2 in April and is a bit nervous around new people (especially men). She has a lot of energy in the mornings so daily walks or a big yard is ideal. Mila is very protective so slow introductions with other pets or a one dog household would be best. Once she knows she’s yours she is a loyal best friend till the end! The adoption fee is required so I know that she will go to a loving home that has good intentions for her.

Story
Meet our beautiful 8-year-old Husky girl — a truly special dog looking for the right home. She is everything people wish Huskies were: calm, quiet, and well-behaved. She is fully house-trained, does not destroy furniture, and is not overly vocal. She has a gentle, easygoing personality and enjoys a peaceful environment. She does have a couple of specific needs, so we want to be upfront to find her the best possible home: • She is uncomfortable on hard floors (tile/wood), so she will need a home with rugs, carpets, or soft surfaces where she can feel secure. • She is not safe with small animals. This includes rodents, small pets, and possibly very small dogs. Because of this, she must go to a home without small animals. • She may do well with another calm dog of similar size, but proper introduction is important. She would do best in a quiet, stable home with someone who understands dogs and can respect her boundaries. She’s a wonderful companion for the right person—loyal and calm

Luna is a good looking dog and will be happy in a new loving home. Typical of Husky’s, she will “talk” once in awhile. The kids have grown and gone now. The parent’s schedules and travel aren’t conducive to her well being. Luna is pretty well mannered and will be a great addition to your home. Luna is 6 years old.

Story
Hi there! My name is Colleen, and I am an approximately 9-year-old, 50-pound female Siberian Husky mix with a heart full of love.I’m a sweet, affectionate girl who adores people and enjoys being part of a family. I love spending time with other dogs—especially male dogs—and I do best with calm, respectful canine companions. I can be a bit dominant with some female dogs, so I would do best with a male dog or a submissive female. Like a true husky, I’m delightfully chatty and love to “talk,” whether I’m sharing my excitement, asking for attention, or simply joining in the conversation. Some of my favorite things include playing with dog friends, soaking up belly rubs, chasing balls, and enjoying tasty treats. While I haven’t been around kids in my foster home, my gentle and loving nature suggests I could be a wonderful family dog. I would do best in a home without cats.I’m fully potty trained, walk nicely on leash, and have wonderful house manners. I am crate trained, and while I may protest a bit at first, I settle best with soothing classical music and when crated in a room with another dog—having a buddy nearby helps me feel secure and relaxed.Overall, I’m an easygoing, loving husky who would make a loyal, joyful companion. I’m ready to bring warmth, conversation, and lots of love into my forever home. ##2632538##

Story
Meet Jinjer - Your Fun-Loving Fetch Champion Jinjer is a sweet, playful girl who brings joy everywhere she goes. She absolutely lives for her toys, especially balls, and could happily play fetch from sunrise to sunset. If you're looking for a dog who will keep you smiling and keep you moving, she's your girl. Jinjer does well with other dogs and enjoys having buddies to romp around with. Because she's energetic and enthusiastic in her play style, she would do best in a home with older kids who can match her fun, bouncy personality. When she's not chasing a ball, Jinjer is affectionate, people oriented, and always ready for attention from her humans. She's the perfect mix of spirited and sweet, and she's ready to bring laughter, love, and lots of playtime to her forever family. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Jinjer is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.April 22, 2026, 1:21 pm

Story
Teddy is a nearly 4 year old Akita with an easygoing, independent nature. He loves spending his days relaxing and taking things at his own pace, but he's always happy to soak up attention when his people offer it. He's fully house trained and sleeps comfortably in his crate overnight. Teddy is playful and enjoys exploring fenced in areas and engaging in gentle games, tug with stuffed toys is his absolute favorite. He also gets along well with dogs of all sizes and has a calm, respectful presence that many pups appreciate. Teddy is looking for a home that values his mellow personality, gives him space to unwind, and welcomes his sweet, understated affection. If you're hoping for a peaceful companion with a touch of playful spirit, he might be the perfect match.
