Story
Buddy is a healthy, happy 1.5-year-old Husky mix weighing about 55 pounds. With a zest for life and a heart full of love, he&#39s always ready for fetch, hikes, and outdoor fun! He&#39s the perfect mix of playful energy and loyal companionship. Buddy gets along with most dogs when introduced properly, though he prefers smaller playgroups. He&#39s potty trained, food-motivated, and a quick learner--just bring treats and watch him shine! Buddy&#39s still figuring out how he feels about cats and kids, but he&#39s open to meeting them with a patient, loving family. He&#39s neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to go. Found as a stray in a local park, Buddy is now searching for a forever home where he can feel safe, have fun, and be part of the family. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Buddy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.September 7, 2025, 11:31 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Pearl. I’m a beautiful husky, and I’ve been waiting here in the shelter since January 29, 2025, hoping that the right person will finally see me. While I’ve been here, I had a litter of puppies. I cared for them with all my heart and then watched, one by one, as each of them found a loving home. I’m so happy they all got their chance at a new life—but now it’s my turn.I’m full of love, loyalty, and the playful husky spirit, but what I want more than anything is someone to share my life with. I dream of long walks, a cozy place to rest my head, and a family who will see me not just as another dog in the shelter, but as their Pearl—their one and only. It’s hard to keep waiting, but I know my perfect home is out there. If you’ve been looking for a loving, beautiful companion, please come meet me. I promise to fill your days with joy, adventure, and unconditional love. Could you be the one to finally take me home? The adoption fee for this pet is $75. This cost includes spay/neuter, microchip, and all vaccines.December 16, 2025, 8:40 pm

Story
We had Nala since she was a puppy, her parents where my wife's Parents dogs. We potty trained her in San Diego CA, where it was fully required to ensure your pet had all shots. It is in San Diego were we potty trained her and thought her how to "Shake", "Sit", and "Stay". She was a blessing in San Diego. After our daughter was born in 2019, Nala was relocated back with her parents and my wife's parents as we could not watch her while I was at work 10-12hrs. She is a strong dog, using a chest harness is best but my wife was still to pregnant, recovering, and hard to walk with the new born. - land lord requirements - Landlord requires she is neutered and currently she is not. We cannot afford the services. - slight behavior concern - while I am at work, Nala has growled at three of toddlers that we watch often (under age 7). We believe they have created a stressful environment for her with their constant toddler play time. - has not had much experience with Female dogs, males ok.

Story
Nico is a 2-year old (as of 2025) light red/white husky that is needed a new home after his family developed severe allergies. He is a friendly boy that was the result of an "oops" litter. He is friendly with other dogs, neutered, and will be updated on shots shortly. He is on heartworm preventative and will be heartworm tested prior to going to his new home. He is respectful of a 5 foot fence, but like any husky needs a secure fence for safety. As with all huskies, we recommend no cats in the home due to prey drive.  ##2314402##
