Story
Jolene is a 3 year old husky/shepherd mix. She is sweet, smart, and energetic. She knows basic commands, is potty trained and crate trained. She does require a daily walk or game of fetch. She is a bit skittish and we think it’s best to find her a home with older kids that can understand her need for space. We do have another dog who she gets along with great.

Story
Mochi is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing approximately 80 pounds of loyalty, affection, and thoughtful charm. He’s a wonderful balance of active adventure buddy and relaxed couch companion, happy to join you for a walk, hike, or outing and just as content settling in at home afterward.   Mochi has a sweet, steady temperament and truly loves people. He bonds deeply with his humans and thrives on connection, attention, and shared routines. He does well with kids and enjoys being part of a household where he can feel included and valued.   He has completed professional board-and-train, where he learned important household manners and structure. One of his biggest accomplishments has been learning to feel calm and secure in a crate, which he now views as a safe and comfortable space. This foundation helps him transition smoothly into home life and makes him an easier companion to live with.   Mochi is fully house-trained and well-mannered in the home. He is eager to please, enjoys having a job or task to focus on, and responds well to clear expectations and consistency. His intelligence and desire to work with his person make him both rewarding and fun to train and live with.   His story began when he was found living on an uncleared lot in Old East Dallas. Thanks to the care and commitment of his foster family, Mochi has made a full transformation from a street dog into a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys the comforts of home life.   One of Mochi’s endearing quirks is his love for string cheese, which earned him the nickname “Mocheezy.”   Important to know: Mochi would do best in a single-pet home. He prefers space from other dogs when out and about, and can be strong on leash if he notices them. Mochi is happiest when he can focus on his person and form a close, one-on-one bond.   If you’re looking for a devoted companion who is affectionate, intelligent, and ready to be a true partner in life, Mochi is eager to find his forever home. Story
Age: 3 years Weight: 40 lbs Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids: Unknown Activity level: High Shedding Level: High Training: Basic, Leash Skylar is a gorgeous husky/shepherd mix with striking blue eyes. He is about 3 years old. Skylar had been injured during his time on the streets and had TPLO surgery on his leg last year. He has since recovered nicely. He absolutely loves to run and play! He likes to try to be in charge, but takes correction well. He loves to play with other dogs and get out his energy. He gets nervous with quick movements and takes a minute to adjust to new people and situations. With a little patience and plenty of treats he will warm right up and ask for pets. Once he is comfortable, he loves pets, giving kisses, and cuddling! He will even gently reach over and pull your hand back with his paw if you stop petting him before he is ready.  Skylar finished his training on basic obedience commands and socialization and is ready for a foster or forever home! Story
This bigger-than-life boy is rocking his way through foster care, and we’re pretty sure a handsome black long hair GSD from a neighboring property may be his dad! With his fluffy good looks, goofy personality, and giant heart, Ziggy definitely knows how to make an impression. Originally adopted into a loving multi-dog home, Ziggy found himself a bit overwhelmed and unsure of where he fit in. Since returning to rescue, he’s been thriving with structure, guidance, and clear expectations — and it’s been amazing watching his confidence grow. Ziggy is equal parts playful goofball and eager student. He loves a good game in the yard with his favorite toys, but what truly makes him happiest is having a job to do. This boy thrives on training, routine, and leadership. Give him direction, and he will give you his whole heart right back (along with enthusiastic tail wags and happy dances). After a day of play and learning, Ziggy is more than happy to curl up on the sofa for snuggles and downtime with his people. Because of his size, age, and energy level, Ziggy would do best in a home experienced with large breed adolescent dogs that is committed to continuing his training and helping him build confidence through consistency and structure. Smart, loving, and full of personality, Ziggy is ready to be the star of someone’s world. Apply today at TGPR.org to learn more about Zig Zag Ziggy!
