Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $400   Froyo is a 9 year old Shih Tzu x Maltese mix who is ready to serve up cuteness and love for her new people! This tiny little gal was surrendered to our rescue with her Golden Gals in desperate need of a haircut and some love. We heaped it on and got them ready to find their golden year homes. Froyo is a pocket size pup, clocking in at 9 pounds which makes her an amazing adventure companion (from the safety of your purse, of course). She has a beautiful coat which will require regular grooming. Froyo is an option for those with allergies or who just want less hair around the house!    Below is a note from Froyo’s foster.  “Froyo is a sweet, tiny, and loving little dog.  She was shy at first but warmed up quickly.  She happily greets me everyday with a little smile and wagging tail.  She has discovered toys and likes to walk around with a small stuffy in her mouth.  She is very low maintenance and has been go with the flow since day 1.  She recently got groomed and the groomer told me she was the perfect dog and had great manners.  Don’t let Froyo’s age scare you, she still has so much love and cuddles to give.” Froyo starts her day at 6am with the resident dogs.  After a quick potty break she eats breakfast.  Then with her food coma she goes back to bed and will stay asleep until the rest of the house wakes up.  While her foster mom is at the office she spends her days snoozing in one of the dog beds.  She gets a walk either in the morning or night depending on the house schedule.  She walks well on a leash with her tiny legs, enjoys all the new smells of the neighborhood, and could use continued leash training. Froyo will also happily cuddle up in dog sling or purse while you do the walking and she relaxes and takes in the sights.  She is not a nuisance barker but will join in on the neighborhood watch when someone is at the door.  Froyo eats dinner before 6pm and heads to bed around 9pm. Froyo gets along well with the resident dogs who are a little bigger than her at 13lbs and 20lbs.  She is very shy at first when meeting new people but will warm up and want to cuddle after a few days.  Once she gets to know her people she will be the biggest littlest love bug.     Froyo would do well in just about any kind of home that is ready for daily cuteness and snuggles. She would be an option for homes without prior dog ownership. Kids in the home should be over the age of 10.April 15, 2024, 10:56 pm

Story
Meet Chino! This sweet boy is looking for a fospice to live the rest of his life! Chino unfortunately has a grade 5 heart murmur that has been checked by a vet. He needs a relaxed household with little activity. Chino loves going on short walks and sunbathing in the yard! He loves being near other dogs but due to his heart murmur can not be over excited.

Story
Flora is a very shy girl that needs someone who will take the time and has the patience to work with her! Once she opens up she will be a great dog who loves her person/people! Since she is so shy she cannot be in a home with kids and preferably with only one or two adults. She has stranger danger and does take time to get to know you. Flora will bark at strangers. She would do best in a home being able to be with her sister Ysabel. Please call 707-459-4900 if you have any questions or to set up an appointment to meet Flora.

Story
Bubbles is a sibling to Blossom and Buttercup. All 3 were dumped in parking lot. She was adopted mid March but just returned due to family allergies. She is gentle and very sweet. Social and friendly. Bubbles is doing great at her foster home and playing with 3 other small dogs. She is calmer than the other dogs. More info. to come. Bubbles is doing great at her foster home with another small dog. Alone she is nervous but once with another dog she is happy. Learning and doing well on house-training. Now going out on leash for walks and potty on walks. Prefer another small dog at home for her happiness.April 16, 2024, 1:30 am
