Story
Jada is a very sweet, spunky dog. She loves to play but also relax. She likes to take walks and sit outside all day if she could. She’s also kinda funny whenever you do something that is out of the normal to her she will look at you a certain way that makes you laugh. I’ve had Jada since I was 2 years old. I am now 20. So, yes she is very old but she is worth it. She just wants to be loved and cared for. Unfortunately, I cannot keep her because my mother is now disabled and I have a job that doesn’t allow me to be home all the time. So, no one would properly take care of her and give her the attention she needs. You’re probably wondering okay so I how do I take care of my mom. My brother and I visit her and she has a nurse who comes and checks in on her. But, no one is there 24/7.

Story
Bonded to her sister DD  Sammie and DD found themselves homeless and were forced to live outside. They're safe now in a foster home and they're ready for a permanent place to live.   Sammie is a 4yo Shih-Tzu and weighs 9 pounds.  DD is a 7-yo Yorkie and weighs 11 pounds.  They are very attached to each other. They are absolute cuddle bugs and if you’re a couch potato, these could be the dogs for you.  They are working on potty training and doing great but they do still have pee accidents in the house if they don’t have a chance to go out. They need a very consistent routine where they are taken out every 2 hours as they continue to be potty trained. They will occasionally use a pee pad inside. Continued house training will need to be a priority in their new home. They love toys and DD carries one in her mouth most of the time. They are yappy little dogs.    Sammie really wants to be a baby and have a mama that will hold her and snuggle all the time.  She’ll sit on your lap for hours while you work.  She seems to bond with the woman in the family that cares for her. In order for a man or another person in the house to bond with her, they will need to put in a lot of work holding her, petting her and being patient. It takes a lot of time for her to be ok with other people that she is not bonded with, and she will bark at anyone she isn't bonded with every time she sees them.  This requires patience.  DD barks to say hello to everyone and Sammie barks to say stay away.  They are good with cats and other dogs. They romp and play with each other and have a blast. A retired person or someone that is home a lot is the perfect fit for them.  They are crate trained, spayed, heartworm negative and current on their vaccines. Sammie is afraid of fast movements so a home with children of any age is not ideal for her.   Training: Crate- and potty pad trained; working on potty outside Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative Contact: doggieharmonyatlanta@gmail.com (Amy) We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.April 24, 2024, 8:29 am

Story
Several years ago a good samaritan in Nashville saved me, I was running down the road. She took me in for 3 years, but couldn't afford to take me to the vet. I developed skin and ear issues so she reached out for someone to take me, and here I am getting the health care I need and responding very well. Yes I'm mostly blind, but I'm a gentle fellow that enjoys being petted. I could spend the day sitting on a lap being company and enjoying a persons company. I'm quiet and I would be fine in a small home with a small fenced yard because I love to sit in the sun and snooze.
