Story
Two adorable boys. Born 4/21/25, they are up to date on shots and have been wormed. The original owners found homes for their three sisters then called us for help with these two boys. Parents both 10 pounds or less. Their quirky character, intelligence and playful disposition makes these guys great family pets. Little Peter was born with an abnormally small calcaneus, he cannot bend his right leg. The vet did a Radiograph and found no fracture. Leg bones appear smaller in right leg than left. They cannot do anything for him right now. He is to be reassessed when his growth plates have closed. He may have a perfectly normal life. He plays, eats and poops just like his brother. To meet them call/text 586-855-6119. $300 adoption fee each. Less if both are adopted together.

Story
Meet Mona! Age: 6 yearsWeight: 9 lbsBreed: Shih Tzu and Papillon Mix (best guess) Mona was found as a stray in Detroit and unfortunately was never reclaimed. When she arrived at the shelter, she was understandably scared and fearful of new faces. Additionally, due to an untreated eye infection, she had to have one of her eyes surgically removed. While she has adjusted to her new life, she is still a bit cautious, especially on her left side, so patience is key when approaching her. Mona can be selective about who she chooses as her human companions—she is definitely in charge of selecting her new family! This means that she may take her time to warm up to you, but once she does, she’ll be an affectionate and loyal companion. She has cohabitated with other dogs and cats in foster care but can be selective and often times a little too much energy for some furry friends, Mona would thrive best in an adult-only home where her quirks can be understood and embraced. Due to the condition of her coat, she had to be cut short. Mona is not fond of grooming and will need an experienced groomer who can be patient with her during the process. Living Preferences: Sleep: Mona prefers to sleep in bed with her person rather than being crated. Playtime: She loves to play with toys and has a mischievous side as a first-class sock thief! House Manners: Mona demonstrates a good understanding of house manners, making her a delightful housemate. Additional Notes: Boujee Girl: She is not a fan of going outside in the rain, so she will need some encouragement or there will be accidents. Food Motivation: While Mona is food motivated, she can be a little overzealous when taking treats, so gentle guidance will be appreciated. Fenced Yard: A fenced yard is important for her safety and comfort as she enjoys wandering and exploring. Mona rides well in the car, making her a good traveling companion! She would do best with someone who has experience with dogs and understands her unique personality traits. She may display a bit of stubbornness and an attitude at times but is sure to reward your patience with endless love and loyalty. Mona deserves a family that will appreciate her special qualities—both good and quirky. If you think you can provide her with a loving forever home, she can’t wait to meet you! Story
MEET BENTLEY: Age: 7 years young  Weight: 9 lbs  Breed: Shih Tzu   Meet Bentley, a gentle soul in search of a loving forever home! This sweet 7-year-old Shih Tzu came to us after his previous owner could no longer care for him. Upon arrival, Bentley was quite matted and overgrown, but with a fresh shave, he’s ready to start anew, and we can’t wait to see him in all his handsome glory as his fur grows back.  Bentley is a quiet fella who that barely ever barks. He’s looking for a home, preferably one without very young children (older kids are fine) to suit his laid-back personality. He gets along well with other dogs and has no issues with cats, making him a wonderful companion for multi-pet households. This adorable pup has demonstrated good house manners, especially with a consistent routine. Bentley has a velcro-like quality—he loves to be near his people and will happily follow you around as you go about your day. He also prefers snuggling in your lap when and relaxing with you. You will never feel lonely when he is around, and he will even stand guard when you are in the bathroom! He would love to be able to sleep in bed with his people, and he will lick your face clean if you let him. He is the true definition of unconditional love! In addition, he rides well in the car, so you can take him along for drives and adventures. Bentley enjoys spending time outdoors, especially in nice weather. Once he bonds with you and you become his person, he will never leave your side, making him a great dog for leash walks or a physical fenced yard. He knows the command "sit" and is quite food motivated, which will make training a delightful experience. He also enjoys playing with toys. Bentley is affectionate and will make a loyal companion to someone looking for a new best friend! He enjoys meeting new faces and has never met a stranger! If you have a home filled with love and you're looking for a furry friend to share your life with, Bentley could be the perfect match for you. Are you ready to open your heart and home to this sweet boy? Let’s give Bentley the happily-ever-after he deserves!  Bentley is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedNeutered and has recently undergone a dental cleaning with extractions. ADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI.
