Story
Peter is an adorable handicapped little boy. He was born 4/21/25, he is up to date on shots and has been wormed. The original owners found homes for their three sisters then called us for help with two boys. His brother Paul got adopted so there is just Peter. Parents both 10 pounds or less. Mom is a Shihtzu and dad is a Shihtzu/Rat Terrier mix. Their quirky character, intelligence and playful disposition makes Peter a great family pet. Little Peter was born with an abnormally small calcaneus, he cannot bend his back right leg. The vet did a Radiograph and found no fracture or breaks. Leg bones appear smaller in right leg than left. They cannot do anything for him right now. He is to be reassessed when his growth plates have matured. He may have a perfectly normal life. He plays, eats and poops just like a puppy because he was born this way. To meet Peter call/text 586-855-6119. $200 adoption fee.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application!
