Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 50-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Magic is a 2 year old shih Tzu Mix WE DO NOT KNOW THE MIX Here is what his foster says about him… Magic is very puppy like! Hes very silly, curious and loves cats, dogs, toys, and bones. Magic is moderate energy. His favorite toys are squeakers and bag toys. He really enjoys peanut butter. Just like all of our dogs he was placed in a wonderful foster home (not shelter) receiving LOVE and proper socialization, basic commands and started on their potty training. He is GREAT with children as well as other dogs, cats and kids. He loves toys and cuddles. He will make a Great family pet. I’m a Shih Tzu/Maltese mix with a long body like a dachshund. I am one year old and weigh around 15 lbs. I'm a young, playful pup with a heart full of love and a mouth full of puppy teeth! I'm still learning the ropes, but I'm a quick study. I'm a big fan of an endless game of fetch and chasing my furry friends around the yard. I’d love to find a home with a fenced yard for my extra games and another playful dog for me to run with. That would be awesome! I'm a snuggle bug and can’t wait to cuddle up with my favorite humans. I'm also a bit of a goofball and like to play silly games. I'm still working on my manners, but I'm eager to please and ready to learn. I am potty and crate trained! I'm looking for a loving family who can keep up with my higher than the average dog’s energy level. I will need to be in an adult only home with no one under the age of 18 years old. I'd love to have a furry sibling to play with, but it's not a must. A fenced-in yard would be paw-some, but I'm adaptable.
